Both worked perfectly as I needed them, and I was not surprised that the first one broke when a heavy person stepped directly on it.

Excellent Insignia 4-Port USB 3.0 Powered Hub

This helps me in transferring photos & videos from my full External Hard Drive (HHD) to a new External Hard Drive (SSD). It opens up all the photos & videos very quickly from the HHD waiting for transfer. You need to have this to be 3.0 & Powered because your computer does not have enough power to open the photos from a full HHD, especially when you have a lot of hardrive connected to your computer.

I needed more plugs for my work computer. I am currently using it for keyboard, camera and mouse. The did free up my other higher plug for my headset. I am pleased so far. Also it came with a five foot cord so i dont have to get down under my desk to plug/unplug if needed.

No latency or decrease in speed. My scanner works perfectly fine, as does its use when backing up my family's iDevices. Very happy with the purchase, and would do so again if needed.
