At the beginning was good and working but in less than a year, it started showing a white spot on the tv. We didn’t drop it or damage it somehow. Bestbuy inspected and found it was manufacturing problem.

I AM NOT A HAPPY PERSON NOR SHOPPER THIS TV DOES NOT PICK UP ANY ANALOG STATIONS WITH AN ANTENNA PERIOD. THE PURPOSE IN BUYING THIS TV WAS FOR A BETTER VIEW OF PROGRAMS AND MY HUSBAND COULD LOOK AT 5.1 5.2 AND 5.3 CHANNELS. WE HAVE MOVED THIS TV EVERY WHERE IN THE HOUSE BOUGHT NEW ANTENNAS AND PACKED IT UP TO RETURN TO THE STORE, WE HAVE OTHER TV'S THAT PICK UP THESE STATIONS THAT ARE FAIRLY NEW AND THEY PICK UP THESE STATIONS, THIS ONE IS A BAD CHOICE, I NEED TO KNOW WHICH TV YOU ALL SELL T HAT IS COMPATIBLE TO WHAT I NEED.

    A Lemon

I have purchased Insignia TV's in the past and was generally satisfied. The picture quality was okay and the price attractively low. However, this time the TV was an unmitigated lemon. It kept powering itself off and on--often a half dozen or more times in the space of an hour. I waited about a week to see if the problem would resolve itself, but it never did. I returned it...would not buy another Insignia after this experience.

We bought a lower end Insignia smart TV and were told it would play videos from a flash drive. It didn’t so we took it back. We bought a second model that was newer because again we were told it would play videos and it also will not. This is our 2nd Insignia that we are returning. Truthfully the TV does what it does. I blame the sales team for not knowing their product.

Had constant problems with tv shutting off at random times. Checked every setting and connection. Then went to forums to find out this is a common problem. Took it back and bought a Toshiba, no issues.

We owned this item for less than 30 days & the screen cracked. I never had a TV that busted so easily. I should have known it was poorly constructed by how light it was. Complete waist of money.

I purchased a 40" Insignia television that would not go to the channel I selected, it would jump to a random channel. I then exchanged it for another one, (upgraded to a 43"), this one seems to have streaming problems and I cannot always get it to recall to the last channel. Other tv's in the house work fine.

Just what I would expect of an Insignia Brand TV!

I just completed setup of this Insignia 43" 1080p model # NS-43D420NA18 "non-smart" TV earlier today. I own other sizes and models of Insignia television sets--ranging in size from 24" to 32" to 40" and now this 43" Insignia television set. I recognize that I am a bit "unusual" as a TV viewer in this day in age as I do not subscribe to cable TV and I do not subscribe to TV streaming services--all I use my TV's for are over-the-air TV broadcast viewing and I receive some forty (40) channels and I also have them connected to my laptop computers via HDMI cable and I also use my Insignia TV's as computer monitors. This Insignia TV has an ATSC tuner which is made for over-the-air TV broadcast viewing. There are lots and lots of viewing options to be found on YouTube.com and Bing.com and from other sources. I really feel "bad" about giving this Insignia 43" TV a four (4) star rating as it really deserves a five (5) star; however, I enjoy watching a lot of classic TV shows--and this would include TV shows broadcast in 420i. Many times, viewing "some" of these show on this Insignia television will have blacked out areas on the left and right columns--a few inches on each side. This is even when I have the picture-size setting set to wide. I keep the picture size (i.e., p-size) setting set to wide "all" of the time and I find that this produces the best and most consistent viewing results. This above situation is "not" the fault of the TV, but rather, the "source" of these broadcasts are to blame! If anyone wants to use this or other Insignia TVs as computer monitors, all they have to do is go into their computer's display settings and select "112" for display "type" and then under scale and layout select "100% (recommended)" and then for resolution select "1366 X 768 (recommended)" and then for multiple displays select "duplicate these settings. To have it so all of the computer's icons fit on the TV screen which are located on the lower task bar and in the left vertical column of the desktop saver screen click onto the TV's menu button and go into the picture column and then scroll down to "advanced settings" and then set the TV's "OVERSCAN" feature to OFF! For whatever reason with this Insignia 43" model NS-43D420NA18 even over-the-air broadcast programs which are labeled as 720i really look G-R-E-A-T(!) and, many times those programs labeled as 420i can also look fine also--although, sometimes, they are a bit blurry and, again, may not fill the entire screen; however, as already stated this is due to the source of the broadcast. This 43" Insignia TV's remote is a nice (larger) size, this TV (as do the other Insignia TV's that I've seen) has a headphone jack (that feature is tough to find these days!) and it has three (3) HDMI ports (one of them is an HDMI "ARC" port so that you can control the volume of the laptop and TV with one button--together!). There is also a USB port in case you have an amplified indoor HDTV antenna or something else to connect it to this USB port. Unlike the 40" 1080p Insignia TV which was part of this "series" of Insignias, this TV's speakers put out a total of 16 watts--as opposed to 10 watts total. There is "more" than enough volume and the quality of sound is rich also. The "energy guide" sticker which comes with the TV (only based on anticipated electricity consumption I am sure!) indicates that this TV may consume only $10 of electrical energy per year; however, I am sure that I will use this TV a lot more than that! One of the TV product features which some may overlook is the great Insignia tech support which is there for purchasers of their products--long after the initial purchase date and this is hard to find with companies these days.

Bought this TV in November 2017 and one of the panels malfunctioned in January 2018 making it impossible to watch. Since it is past the 12 month warranty period (how convenient) I intend to recycle it away when I get a chance. Don't waste your money.
