Makes great sized nuggets but it is constantly making noise and collects dirt or dust or maybe something internal makes the machine dirty inside very quickly. I only use filtered water for this machine but it has developed a habit of becoming dirty very fast.

Great ice. Plenty of it too. But boy oh boy is it loud. Other than that awesome ice maker ! Especially for this price range it’s worth it.

I first purchased this machine almost two years ago while my Opal was broken, while the ice is not as fluffy as our other machine, it has the perfect crunch in your drink and it plowed through, cleaning is a breeze and even after a year in my office it was still going strong. Only recently did it stop making ice, it will run, the compressor kicks on, has water, just after a bit the cycle stops, the power button starts blinking and the light inside the machine starts flashing as well. I couldn't find anyone locally to work on it so I ordered the newest incarnation and it was delivered today.

So far so good. I tried another brand of Nugget ice maker (GE) and I had trouble from the start. Returned it and the second unit was terrible. Tried a third and it was worse. Then switched to Insignia and it has done great. a little noisy, but not too bad. I hope it lasts. I thought the GE was a better brand, so I hope the Insignia holds up. ALSO ----- I want to add that Best Buy has been great on returns and trying to make it right. Also, the Insignia was considerably less money, and the nugget ice is wonderful.

It makes ice quickly, my whole family enjoys having ice available at anytime. The only thing I dont like, is it can get loud as the ice is ejected into the ice container.

Makes great ice! It does make loud noise sometime but that’s why I bought the extended warranty. It says to clean every three days but I do it once a week. Don’t overfill it or it will make a mess. The loud noises are the only reason for 4 stars

Worked good, extremely loud to have in the kitchen if you have an open floor plan. Also the defrost and Reatha was a little crazy, at times you would have no ice even though it was full with water. Overall ice was very good.

Purchased in may of 2022, only has years warranty. Machine auto sensor quit in February, the ice didnt stop Making and the Machine literally exploded pushing the top off and now it will no longer make ice & there are no replacement parts. Its tio expensive to be a "throw away device"

Makes ice quickly and is the size of nugget we were hoping for. It is a little loud and water drips out of the basket when removed, but overall it is a great machine and does what we want.

Creates good ice, little noisy but that's every ice maker. Biggest down side is the drawer doesn't open from the handle. You have to open from the sides.

Ice is awesome. The ice maker is loud is will constantly run if there isn’t enough ice and the water isn’t usually full. But if you maintain the ice level it won’t be too bad.

It’s a little louder than expected but makes the best ice. Does not take up too much counter space. Great purchase for nugget ice all the time.

Easy to use. Easy to clean. Functions well. Motor decibels could be lower. Like the ice produced by the Portable Nugget Icemaker w/auto shut-off - Stainless steel.

Bought this in February of this year (3 months ago). Two weeks after purchase, it started making a god awful squeeling noise which would wake you up from a sound sleep. It made huge amounts of ice (wifes requirement) so we just closed the bedroom door and dealt with it! Today I came home to find water all over my kitchen counter and floor. I also now have sheetrock damage at the counter, where it was satuated. YES- I'M TICKED. You tend to have a little higher expectations for a $500.00 machine. DO NOY BUY!!

Produces a lot of ice at just the right size, but cumbersome to refill by pulling the drawer out. Have had it for about a month and it makes a grinding sound when it is full.

I love my ice maker. I will warn you that if you are expecting sonic ice this is not quite it. The ice is very munchable and is close to sonics though. The only problem i have is that the ice melts fairly quickly in the ice maker. Mine seems to have a lot of water in the ice maker portion so my ice likes to stick together.

The ice it makes is awesome. The machine itself is loud!

Works great, makes ice quickly. Easy set up, we didn’t connect and just fill with water as we need more ice.

I love the ice, however the machine definitely has some issues. It is loud, not horribly so, but it is noticeable in a room or two away. My issue lies with the light function stopped working 2 days after I set it up. Sure, it isnt a major function... but after contacting Insignia support I was essentially told to look for a new bulb off market since they don't have the part for replacement. So that gives me some anxiety about something more serious happening and Insignia telling me Sorry so Sad but you are SOL.
