After being disappointed that I didn't get the 42" TV on black Friday from my local best buy, I tried Cyber Monday options and found this 55" Insignia TV. Best part? Bigger, free delivery, set up AND disposal of my old TV! I definitely came out ahead on this steal of a deal!

This is an excellent TV. The image is very clear, even though it's not a Smart Tv. The sound quality is awesome. It's also rectangular, not square-like. In conclusion, it's a very nice affordable TV that's big enough for everyone to enjoy any TV programs as a family.

Insignia has come along way since 2014, the quality of this 55 inch is very solid. Keep in mind it's a base model- it has no Smart TV features; however, it's an excellent choice for a Playstation 4 or Xbox. I, for one, use it as a Mame Machine monitor( 80's and 90's arcade games) and it works beautifully. The picture is vibrant and there are the standard controls to adjust the color settings. The speakers are basic- nothing special; however, strong enough to fill a small room. It's one of the cheaper, well-made 55 inch tv's. If you're looking for a no-frills TV with solid picture this is a solid TV and I would recommend it.

Great deal. Tv works just fine. Sometimes it lags a little but that's to be expected. If you want a very large tv for a very low price (Black Friday was 399) then you can't do much better than this.

Excellent TV in comparison to other 55 inch TV's. I bought this to replace my 42 inch Insignia plasma TV that works well to this day after 6 years of use. Can't go wrong with Insignia. No reason to spend the extra money on a smart TV when you can get a Chromecast. Would recommend a sound bar at the very least as internal speakers aren't great.

Let's just be honest in the first sentence... It's not going to blow you away. It's not smart or 3D but at this price point it's a steal (with out the misdemeanor). I got this TV because lets face it a 42 inch in the living room just isn't cutting it. I didn't need a smart TV because it's hooked up to a PS4 and a Wii U so it's connected. Plus with Comcast X1 my 6 year old talks into the remote heck who really "needs" a smart tv. I digress. The TV has ample inputs, the sound is sufficient but again it's hooked up to a sound bar so 'shrugs'... The picture is what I got it for... PS4 looks great, no ghosting when I watch football, Pixar movies are awesome when we throw them in the PS4 and when I am watching the weather on that big clear beautiful screen.. Just to see the weather my wife comes in and can see every off detail and say "why didn't they press her suit? She is wrinkled!" LOL. I think we both agree the TV is High Def looks great and shows a GREAT PICTURE!!! Yes, the TV is a go!

I love this TV! It's a great size for my living room. Everything is great about this TV except for 2 things...the refresh rate isn't great for watching sports. It's not terrible, but it's not great. You get that motion blur. The speakers on it also aren't that great, but just plug it into a sound bar or other speakers and you are good to go.

After much investigation, I decided on this Insignia 55" TV. It was within my limited budget, so decided to give it a try. I have to say so far I have been extremely happy with the picture quality(as usual change from the boxed picture settings), the inputs and overall quality of the TV for the price. When the received picture is 1080p, looks just as good as my brothers $2000 sony. So would I recommend. Definitely. For the money, a great buy. Or should I say "Best Buy"(sorry couldn't help it.

If you're looking for a basic TV without all the smart features, this is a great choice for the price. The included stand is pretty short and placing a typical-sized soundbar in front blocks the IR receiver. It also takes an abnormally long time to turn on. I think the picture and audio quality are fine (but I'm not that picky). Overall it's nothing too special, but it's perfect if you just want a big TV without a bunch of extra features, especially for a bedroom.

Purchased this on sale, but it would have been worth the regular price. Excellent picture, easy set-up. Unobtrusive frame. Thin and lightweight. Had to put it on a table that had a weight limit. No problem, only weighs about 30 lbs. The only complaint is that I wish the control buttons were on the side instead of the bottom, so they were easy to reach. Sometimes the TV doesn't go on, which is synched to the cable box underneath. It needs manual help, but cannot be reached, so you have to turn the box off and try again.

I went to Best Buy just looking around for a good deal on an extra TV. This one was extremely easy to set up, has great sound and a great picture as well. We ended up replacing our TV in the living room with this one because it was so much better then we expected---and a great price as well.

TV is a good size, has a great picture and sound. I think I would prefer if the outlets were on the side of the TV rather than on the back. My TV is hung on the wall, so this makes it challenging to reach behind it to put other devices in. Other than that, it's been a great purchase thus far!

I wanted a simple larger TV to replace a 46". I'm getting older so bigger is better. I get internet through the blu Ray so didn't need smart TV. This TV is working well. Not the quickest refresh rate but fine for 90%

This TV is a high quality tv for a great price. It's a great option if you're wanting a 50+ inch tv for an affordable price. Don't expect LG, Samsung or Sharp quality, but it's a great next tier option.

Excellent Price given the size and quality. Ignsigni was a lesser known brand to me but a Best Buy associate gave favorable reviews song figured I'd give it a shot, for $400 where could I go wrong. The experience well exceeded my expectations. The picture quality is OK. Not really on par with some of the Samsung and LG but equal or better than an equivalent LG I purchased 2 years ago. The input menu is a bit cumbersome. I have to manually scroll down each input and select it, there is also a very brief lag in changing inputs. Also, my cox remote is programmed for the TV but won't allow for changing inputs from that remote. There is a neat feature you can set where the input will automatically adjust if you turn on a connected device, but it doesn't work with all devices (my Samsung Blu-Ray player will do this but not my PS4). Overall great buy given the price as I stated earlier.

I have rather small living room. This TV was great in that we mounted it on the wall to save room space. It is not smart TV, which worked out good for us. We love the sound and picture.
