I have been researching to purchase a deep freezer for quite some time now. Finally settling on this insignia deep freeze from Best buy for quality as well as price point. I have purchased several items from Best buy over the years, and have never been disappointed with their service and support. Is this unit is perfect for my family's needs. It is not too large to where it takes up too much space but not too small to where I'm wishing I bought a bigger one. In my photo, I've left two items on top for comparison reference. Very satisfied with my purchase and will be returning for my next item in the near future!

My freezer has worked very well so far. We went to pick it up at the store and when we opened it, it was in good condition. I’m so happy with my purchase.

Great freezer so far i have had no issues. Fits a lot of food and the built in light is a good feature too!

One of the worst purchase experiences I have had with Best Buy. I brought the freezer home and noticed a dent. I called the store on the same day before I used it and was told they could send someone to come swap out for me once the order updated in their system. I was told that I could use it in the meantime. The order did not update as picked up for three days after I had picked up. I called everyday requesting an update and was told I had to wait. Once the order finally updated, they told me I had to return it myself to the store and they would ship out a new one. I explained that I had food in it and was told they will swap it out but the support person told me that was no longer an option. I’m stuck with a damaged appliance unless I’m willing to let my food go bad and drive to the damaged one to the store while I wait for Bestbuy to ship out a new appliance. Never again.

Upon open, I noticed obvious defects - multiple dents over 10 inches long - before even using it (photo attached). This was clearly not damage caused by me. Best Buy told me my only options were to transport this heavy refrigerator back myself or pay $99 for pickup of a defective product. I contacted them the same day via chat and phone, explained a medical situation that makes moving large appliances unsafe, and repeatedly asked for escalation. No one ever followed up. If you buy large appliances here, be aware: you may receive a defective item and be left without a reasonable path to resolution. I will not shop at Best Buy again and strongly advise others to be cautious. Happy to update this review if Best Buy resolves the issue.

The headline is probably that it works. The annoying bit is as you can see in my pictures that the inside protective wall is clearly damaged. I have no idea how this even made it past inspection. I asked BestBuy for a refund and they would have swapped it out for me but I had already borrowed a friends car and lugged it into my basement before I found this damage and wasn't going to go through that rigmarole again. BestBuy offered me $8 to compensate and I negotiated them up to $10. very frustrating and will be sure to shop elsewhere next time.

The freezer came damaged. The lid is messed up on top.

I've purchased multiple small chest freezers and placed them in my garage and basement. Seems more convenient and cost effective than having, moving, and finding space for one really big one. Plus IF something malfunctions, you can adjust easier with multiple small ones vs one larger one. The multiple Insignia chest freezers I have are perfect for the price, size, and functionality. I also appreciate Insignia's included warranty that allows for easy returns/exchanges at Best Buy since Insignia is Best Buy's store brand. This one is the first one I have with the light inside, and it's a simple yet super helpful feature. I originally picked this up from my local Best Buy store, and it wasn't until I got it in the basement and out of the box that I saw two large dents on the bottom. Best Buy customer service quickly arranged for the local Best Buy store to deliver a new unit and take away the old one. This was really appreciated. Freezers working perfectly.

I am extremely happy with this freezer! It has plenty of space and fits perfectly in our home without taking up too much room. The cooling performance is outstanding it freezes quickly and maintains a consistent temperature. I also appreciate how quiet it runs.you barely notice it’s on. Overall, this freezer exceeded my expectations.

small enough for the spot in the garage....but large enough for the items I wanted to freeze. Works well and was easy to unload and set up.

Very quiet. I don't hear it running. It's nice and deep so it has plenty of room for our storage needs. It keeps everything inside very cold and there is no trace of frost build up. An excellent buy for the price.

So far it's pretty good. It has alot of room and looks very nice. It has a adjustable temperature guage for either cold for fridgerator use or freezer use. The sales person who helped us with the sale was extremely nice and helpful. We are very happy with our new freezer.

Good small freezer which is capable of holding about 4-5 frozen whole turkeys. Just small enough to keep extra frozen food on hand but not big enough to take up a ton of room in the garage. This is a garage friendly freezer. Temperature of operation ranges from 0 degrees to 110 degrees in the garage per the product manual. So it has the correct compressor for it to operate in cold/hot conditions.

I love it, it's roomie and it doesn't take much space in my garage, not noisy at all. I definitely recommend.

This is an awesome little freezer. It has an internal light which is great for grabbing things at night. Plenty of room and gets nice and cold. Great value.

Good size, very easy to setup and move around. Perfect for garage use. Love the feature of lamp light up when opening the top cover.

Have had this freezer for a few months and so far so good. Seems to be good quality and works well. the like inside is a nice added touch. I went with this model do to its smaller outside dimensions for the same capacity to others on the market.

Good amount of interior space and very easy to install. Is already building up frost along edges after 2 weeks of being plugged in, and seems to be holding temperature well.
