I recommend over chest freezers. I wish it was energy star, but it uses similar power to an equivalent e star one.

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is one of those units that's priced low enough not to really complain about its lack and after owning it I wish I would have spent a few dollars more and bought one with a digital temperature gauge. The setting on this is a dial and without putting a thermostat in the freezer to indicate temp you may end up with steaks that now resemble a popsicle. It freezes and works excellent just understand that its hard to control the state of temperature in this unit so be prepared to spend time fine tuning the dial to get the magic spot.

Takes a while to freeze thru

I did not gain any more space in the freezer. I gained a whole lot of being able to find what I’m looking for
