I was tired of having to hit the PS button and go into menus to adjust audio while using a wired headset, then I ran across this little device and decided to give it a shot. I'm happy to say that it is just what I was looking for! It controls your volume and also has a mute button on it. It is a much welcomed addition to my gear. Bear in mind that this does use three AAA batteries (supplied) so it will add some weight to your controller, but it isn't that bad. It doesn't really get into the way either and it did not make any scuffs or marks on my stock controllers so I felt confident enough to put it on my custom Colorware controller and it did no damage at all. In all, I'm pleased with this accessory. It is inexpensive, plug & play and simple to use.

The adapter works great and is affordable. I already own earbuds with a mic that I like using when I am using my ps4 so this adapter was a great buy. I can control the volume without having to go to settings. I can mute my mic. The controls for the adapter are within easy reach and adjusting the setting while in game has a natural feel. Not awkward or like I have to stretch my fingers to increase or decrease volume or mute the mic. It was just a great buy. I liked it so much I am going to buy another for my wife.

I got this audio controller because Apple Earpods and other headphones w/ mic designed for Apple do not work when directly connected to the PS4 controller. I am using this device with my Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless headphones connected to the PS4 controller via the Apple mic cable you can get from B&W. When channeling the full audio from the PS4 to these B&W's, everything sounds rich and detailed. Adding the mic cable enables talking during multiplayer games. All of this works flawlessly with this audio controller add-on. Highly recommend!

Bought this afapter to convert my Xbox One Headphone to use with my PS4 and it works! saves me alot of money!! Works great! No wires needed to plug into my PS4 console. Love this purchase!

I got this so that I could play my ps4 with my apple earbuds. Audio sounds great and being able to turn the volume up and down right on the controller is a very convenient option. I also like that you can mute the mic on the controller as well.

Great add-on for the PS4 and great for anybody's favorite earphones that uses a 3.5mm audio jack. 4 star because it doesn't run off the PS4 battery. It uses 2 AAA battery. And also, if using this audio controller, audio will go mute on the TV speakers. Not a big deal but if kids wanna play and they want TV audio then you're going to have to get an optical cable and do the audio through there instead of HDMI.

This is so handy to adjust volume on the fly without having to go into the menu. It has batteries though. I thought it’d just allow you to adjust volume like similar XB1 ones without batteries. Hope the batteries last a really long time!

Volume and mute buttons are easy to access while playing. Does not interfere with game controller. Very pleased so far.

It's a nice adapter for the controller since is has the volume and mute button on it. I don't like that it requires batteries. It does keep shutting off on me as well. I am not sure if it's because of a bad connection or that is is low on batteries. If it is low on batteries then it goes through them in at least 8 hrs. I would have given 5 stars if it would turn off on me and if I could adjust game and chat volume on it. It is very helpful though. Get rechargeable batteries for it.

All I have wanted for my controller was a mute for the headset ON the controller. X Box had it right in the first few 360 consoles, but then changed to cord mutes too, playstation I just used a Bluetooth hands free. Hate headsets & I run 11.2 Atmos 3D audio. This solves all problems, and no need to buy a extra bluetooth or headset just for the PS4

This is an awesome product. Used in conjunction with the stock mic that came with the PS4 makes volume control and muting so much easier. I thought I would upgrade my mic to something aftermarket but now with this I don't really feel the need to other than comfort for my ear.

I'm a huge fan of the Xbox One Stereo Headset adapter so i picked this up when it was on sale for 10$. This is by no means a necessity but it's a pretty neat add-on. The only reason i don't give this thing a 5th star is that i would have rather it be rechargeable. I love being able to adjust the volume on the fly for when i have headphones on instead of toggling the PS menu. This also in theory could be used as a battery powered in-line Amp for headphones / speakers with proper adapters/wires. Have yet to experiment but i will update this post when i do

This is a good adapter for your ps4 for you to be able to use any headset without a volume control. You do not need to find the remote if you need it louder or softer. The ps4 can easily detect it and the weight of it does not change drastically.

The piece itself is small and feels relatively cheap, but its inexpensive and does the job, so not a problem for me.

i bought this just to run regular headphones such as an apple headphones through my controller. it makes volume adjustment quicker and has the ability to mute without going through my ps4 settings. also know that it uses aaa batteries and DOES NOT power from your controller.

Attachement is very usefull and easy to use,saves a lot of time adjusting volume.great

I used to, because this is great for muting suddenly are changing the volumes, but I just got a new headset instead

I would give 5 stars but sometimes the cover on the back comes off while you are gaming .
