Did you know you can use water bottle to fill device per use? That’s what I’m doing, since I’m just renting a room here

The installers failed to plug the ice maker in to it’s connector in the freezer. They left a “blank’ plastic peace in the connector slot so, the ice maker was not even plugged in. They did not indicate anything was wrong when they left.
