I bought a Insignia portable CD player 18 months ago and it is still working perfectly. I purchased this one as a backup for the one I currently use as I have been so pleased with the quality of this device. I use it while I am exercising at the gym to listen to book CDs and it never skips even when I am jogging on the treadmill. It also fits into a pocket nicely and I can listen to it while I do housework or work in the yard. The price is very reasonable and I would highly recommend the Insignia portable CD player.

Received as Christmas gift. Really great CD Player. My main use for this is to listen to books on tape. I use while at the gyn. I have no problem with it skipping while running on the treadmill, The sound quality is good and is easy to use. It came with the batteries and headphones. Enjoy using it.

Husband bought a Ridgeline truck in November, without a CD player. He's got a collection of CD's he's acquired over the years which he loves to listen to in the truck. I looked into buying an iPod but transfering the music is a task. Bought the Insignia CD Player for Christmas. He loves it. Keeps it in the center console. Easily accessed and manipulated. No issues, good sound, no skipping except when it was extremely cold. The truck is parked outside and, with temps in the single digits and teens over several days, the player did skip until the console well warmed. Reaching into the well, the bottom of the cavity was pretty cold. We continued playing but left the cover open. In a few min the issue disappeared. He's happy. So far great little player for not much cost.

I have had it for few weeks. So far so good, good sound, hardly any skipping, easy operation, easy access. I have purchased two other brands previously for about the same price, one lasted a week, the other didn't even work.

I purchased this to replace my old Sony which was no longer available. This one has very good sound and I like the shape of the earbuds. Very happy with everything except for one point...I use this when I walk and I put it in a front pocket, as I did with the Sony. The only problem is that this one skips, sometimes only during a song or 2 and sometimes through multiple songs. Annoying but okay.

This is a great CD player. It's inexpensive and works quite well for its price. The volume can be turned loud enough without being too loud, even during fireworks. For the most part, it is free of skipping (save for a bumpy car ride) and has little issues. I would definitely recommend this to someone who still appreciates listening to CDs instead of everything being digital all of the time.

Works great in my new truck which I realized didn't have a CD player. Used a double aux cable. Only problem was when stopped it would start CD at beginning instead of where you left off. No problems with skipping. Music was clear. Overall satisfied with this purchase.

I'm using this CD player in my truck since it didn't come with a CD player and it doesn't skip like some of the others. I haven't had any problems with it and I would definitely recommend it for those cars or trucks that don't have one built in.

I bought this for my mother. She wanted to play CD's in her new car, but cars no longer have CD players. She needed something simple. She is not techy at all. Took some tweaking to figure everything out and have it do what she wanted, but it is working well for her. Only issue she has is sometimes it skips when she hits a bump, but that is expected. Time will tell if it is of good quality to last.

This little unit has great sound through my Sony headphones. Never a problem with skipping even with the function off. I am a child of the 80s, so I have a bunch of CDs and I really enjoy listening to them on this player. Would definitely recommended to any other children of the 80s CD lovers!

Very few portable CD players available on market. This one has a good quality sound when playing the CD. Also doesn't skip when you are walking.

Got this portable cd player for 2 reasons....my car CD broke, and I also needed a portable cd player for single cds. This is solid, doesn't skip, works great. Great price too!

I like this CD player. It's small so you can carry it around with you and so far it has not skipped and I use it every day. I play my cd's and listen while I am playing games on my computer.

This product is a lot of fun. I carry it in a over the shoulder bag and play it during my daily walks. It skips when I get too bouncy, but not nearly as much as they used to when I had them years ago. It's worth buying.

This unit with the FM radio is the unit to buy. I had purchased the Insignia model first without the FM radio and had nothing but problems. Took it back twice and Best Buy stood behind the issue. Spend the few extra dollars and get the cd player with FM. I use it listen to audio books while I workout. No skips so far

My new car didn't have a CD player so I purchased this one and am very satisfied. Works perfect for my needs. No skipping. Great price too.

CD player works as expected. I use it in my car when traveling and it plays great, no skipping and sounds perfect through the car speakers.

Seems to work well and doesn't skip much. Sound is very good. I was thankful it came with the headphones.

This is a perfectly average CD player. A little pricey for what it is - it skips pretty easily and that's definitely a little annoying. Other than that, though, it's solid. Good battery life and hasn't scratched up any discs for me after several months of use.

Very responsive. Does not skip. Light weight but durable.
