As a photographer, I have used many of these types with a variety of memory cards for camera and drones, and for some reason, some work and some don't. This particular item has shown to be reliable and I would absolutely purchase again.

I've used sdxc cards in it to transfer to my video editing machine. One thing I am pleasantly surprised with is the long usb cable that's included with it. I haven't measured it but I'm guessing it's 3ft. Other readers I've had included a 1 foot cable which made it a challenge to work with. Not this one, it's very nice and I would buy it again.
