Iv'e had problems with this software freezing and hanging up my computer. When it works it seems to do the job, but to tell you the truth if you are using windows 10 just use the built in disk cleanup..

I recommend this for the computer if you have trouble with speed

I have always wondered about software such as this. I am disappointed by the product; it seems that it causes my computer to run more slowly since installing System Mechanic. I plan to remove it and see how that goes! I hope that the changes to the registry did not mess up my computer!

This product was suggested by geek squad to fix a computer that had been manually shut off during the install of a suspected virus. The computer had lost a portion of its drivers and did not have windows restore activated. It was described as being able to recover the missing files and as able to fix the computer. It did none of these things. It took 12 hours to run, just to return thousands of files with no indication as to what they were. After days of trying to get this program to function, it was abandoned. It may work better as a speed booster and error clean-up program but there are many freely available options that are preferred by most IT specialists.

I had an older Windows 7 PC that was not running very well and after installing and letting the software do it's "thing" I didn't need to upgrade the PC.

just installed so still working on it. need more time to evaluate

My PC computer was locking up and running slow. After installing System Mechanic Premium and running the entire program all my problems were resolved. I would strongly suggest this item to anyone who has PC problems that the basic Microsoft built in programs can not repair.

Does what I needed it to. The only down side I see is not having the status gadget on my screen but that appears to be a Win10 issue. I run it regularly and find a lot of useless files that can be cleaned up.

Fixed my browser and preformed efficiently - what I expected

Over a 5 year period this is the 2nd time I've tried to use System Mechanic. The first time it had too many conflicts with other software; This time, the "Premium" product I bought could not be found for "online/download support". The tech (he was fine) downloaded it for me... but then the product, after analysis of risks, wouldn't actually execute on fixing them... so back to my problem of no online support. For the 2nd time in the five years... l just threw it away... and everything I said was included in a message back to iolo... who never contacted me... and it doesn't matter.

Was okay didnt really have a need for it really. It expired and didnt notice any difference without it

I installed it on a brand new desktop, I can’t say whether it’s helped it’s performance, but I can tell you that it runs a scan every half hour.
