SCAM! Do not buy! I used System Mechanic successfully for several years. I opted to buy a "lifetime" license, as I had been using it on all my home PCs for the family. I recently upgraded a couple of machines and couldn't log in. I couldn't reset my password. My old keys were "invalid". I called support and they had no record of me. I have the receipts for my old payments for "lifetime updates" and they just flushed me instead!!!

Purchased the product 2 years ago. In the last year, every time I turn on my computer I get IOLO ads that I cannot remove, that cover a quarter of the screen. for at least 5-10 minutes They tell me that the ads are not coming from them. Yet I purchased a month "support" subscription thru them using one of these ads and had no problems. They say the ads are not their fault and they cannot help me unless I subscribe to their support once again. This systems like a "catch 22" where the only way I can solve the problem, they created, is by purchasing more from them. This seems like a scam. I would not endorse the use of their products.

I read several reviews yesterday looking for software that would correct problems and secure my computer. Malware several times this year. System Mechanic is highly recommended. I went right down the street and purchased it. Downloads very easy and very fast. It completely scrubbed my hard drive. Removed malware and 15m of junk. My computer runs very fast now. Immediately noticeable. Happy Camper

Have had this system for several years on my home computer. Worked GREAT initially on a very slow, screwed up computer and made it run Sooo much better. IF you don't want it to auto-renew each year, make sure you select that choice when you create an account with them. You will get occasional emails for adding time at a VERY good discount, freq 40-60% off, but you freq can't log into the system and will have to ask for a password reset, EVERY time?? Frustrating to have to change it so often. The system should be smarter than that. When new upgrades are avail, it WILL update your current one without a charge. However, updates can be an issue. With the most recent update ( running 17.5.1.43), it now constantly freezes, especially while cleaning the disc and memory. I have had to remove & reinstall 3 times, and it STILL freezes. Of the 2 current optional add-on upgrades I tried (the free version of Privacy Guardian) was horrible ! Slowed my computer waaaay down to a crawl. When it detects an issue, ie virus, it won't say where or what, just half of the heading part of the info is what you can see. I want to KNOW what part/files are affected before I delete from quarantine! I have 1 more year paid up, but am going to review current (MORE than 2 or 3 different reviews) to see what I want instead. I have had 5 different AV programs in 20 years. Every couple yrs I have to shop around when the current one is no longer working correctly. IF a program is good 1 year doesn't mean it will stay at the top, and MOST customer service assist is NOT really free, even if advertised. I usually have to resort to googling the specific issue and 9/10 times smart people out there have figured out the fixes that the company doesn't take the time to post or mention over the phone.

I've been using Iolo products for over 7yrs and I have never had an issue. Back in 12/23/2009 our home burned down and we lost everything. A few days later we bought a Toshiba Satilite Laptop and I called up Iolo customer service and requested help with getting their product up and running. They emailed me all my info and the download to start using their product. Today I have 3 desktops and 2 laptops with one Iolo account and program. DO NOT USE NORTON if you dont want to loose all your pictures, or everything in your harddrive. Just go to the iolo.com website and read up on all the service you'll be getting. It's worth the money!!!!

Would recommend to anyone with slow, non functioning, freezing computer glitches. Had no problem figuring out how to run it. Best product.

this program does what it say it will do but know what you wish to do before you click you can wipe out your whole program everything!!!

Says works on all computers in home, but after entering key to activate on desktop, refuses to accept key for laptops. Claims key is invalid. No support

You can't log to your account and you are force to have auto pay after a year (most companies do this, but let you know up front) but worse is you are forced to have a phone support, which has another auto pay for 19.99 every month if you don't call and cancel it.

I am reviewing the Pro version of this product. When trying to install it I ran into a problem. It told me that I must first uninstall the Norton Security Ultra program first before System Mechanic Pro can be fully installed. I downloaded a special Norton Removal tool and uninstalled Norton Security. When trying to install System Mechanic a second time, low and behold I was told again that the Norton Security needs to be uninstalled or the antivirus and malware removal tool will not work. I got so ticked off that I uninstalled System Mechanic Pro and threw the DVD in the trash. USELESS !

two weeks after installing both this software and the associated firewall, my laptop became infected with a Trojan called windows32 Trojan fake spy pro. Many programs would not boot, and a balloon came up saying it was infected, and urged me to activate my virus software. I was unable to get onto the Internet at all except for the website of this malware program,

Don't waste your money on this! It did absolutely nothing for my laptop! No, actually that's not correct, it made it worse! Complete waste of money!
