This product is very convenient. As soon as I get in my car, I place my phone on it. I don't have to remove it when I get my car wash.

The phone falls of the mount all the time. It seems that the magnet doesn’t work too well.

I have a 2012 Nissan Leaf SV and a Nexus 6 (no case). The phone is an extra phone that I use full-time to view battery data. The problem is that I already use my main phone on the windshield for mapping and music so it couldn't be placed there. Previously I was using a cupholder mount but it didn't fit or position very well and took up a cupholder. Only time will tell if it holds the phone but it seems like it will. The CD part is very durable and the magnet feels very strong. It looks great and although my display has to be folded down, I don't really use it LOL. I'm excited about it.

I have been struggling with several mounts in market and was done with suction mounts because everytime the gel pads were melted on my dash in hot summer of AZ, so moved to CD slot one but the other brand CD slot with one click mount was blocking my car's LCD screen and does not look right, so decided to give it a try to this iOttie Magnetic Mount and its Splendid. It has resolved all of my issues, its CD slot mount, so no gel pad, it is magnetic and very slim profile so does not block anything when the mount is not mounted and looks sleek. It is a highly recommended product with great functionality and sleek looks and of course, it holds my iPhone 7+ very well.

This is a great hands free device. I like that is securely locks into my vehicle’s CD player. That puts it up high so I don’t have to look down when I attach my phone to it. It holds your phone with strong magnets. The head pivots for easy movement of your phone. It is also easy to remove from the CD player.

I've purchased iOttie products before, and think of them as one of the better manufacturers of phone accessories. I thought that this mount was well thought out and the build quality seemed very good. It was a breeze to install, and it gripped the opening in my CD player well once I inserted the included bracket into the lever mechanism. I placed the metal plate between my iphone 6s plus and the case and found that the strength of the magnetic connection was strong enough to stop the phone falling off. It did not seem the strongest of connections, so I am not confident that the phone would not fall off if I was driving on a very bumpy road. Overall, I was happy with this phone holder, but still prefer the "safety" of a traditional holder that grips the phone, rather than a magnetic one.

I recently purchased a new phone and needed a new car mount to support the size of my current device. I've always purchased window mounts, but saw this CD mounted holder and figured I would try something new. This mount comes with several accessories to help support various phone sizes as well as different widths of CD slots. I'm usually a put together without instructions kind of gal, but with this device I needed them. I would highly recommend referencing them as all of the pieces in the kit may not be needed. Once built, I found the mount easy to install. It supports my phone well and I'm no longer worried about my phone dropping from my windshield. Minus one star as once my phone is mounted some of my console buttons are covered, but they tend not to be ones I use too often.

I like the one back it can be used in any vehicle with a CD player. No, sticky stuff or getting it positioned just right, just put it in place & it will hold even an iPad (with a strong enough magnet ) . Want to use your tablet for navigation ? This works great.

I purchased this for my car because I don’t like the vent clips and I didn’t want mounts all over my windows and dash. This sits in a place that’s easy to see and it’s perfect because I don’t listen to cd’s. My music is streamed through my phone or cars hard drive. I like that I don’t have to clip anything on the side of the phone for it to stay. It’s really easy for one handed use. The phone can be portrait or landscape with ease. The metal plate does have to be pretty centered on the back of the phone for landscape to work well. For the bad reviews about the phone falling off, if the case is too thick it does have an issue holding the phone. I have a Speck Candyshell grip and it doesn’t hold well with the metal plate between the case and phone. I have a thin clear case and it works perfectly between the case and phone. When the plate is between the case and phone it doesn’t have to be stuck to the phone nor case. The case and phone will keep the plate in place and it works great. Because my Speck case was too thick I purchased another on sale for $19 and adhered a round metal plate to the back of the case. The magnet is so strong it doesn’t budge at all. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because there is a small amount of play that causes my phone to shift a few millimeters depending on my driving. Not enough to affect anything and most won’t notice but if you’re picky and OCD like me it is noticeable. I do like the product so much that I bought my wife one as well. I highly recommend it.

Great idea....I mean who uses CD's anymore so you might as well make use of the space. held my phone well (iPhone 6 Plus) but the CD slot and my gear shift were in the same area. The joystick of my shifter collided with the phone when I moved to park. Otherwise I think it would have been a great holder had my slot been higher on the dash

I've tried many and this one is by far the best. I don't know anyone that still uses CD. The CD slot had no purpose until now. The mount is discreet. The phone is out of the way when mounted. The thing is simply perfect. Just mount your phone anyway you like, it will study in place. Love it!

Was looking for a simple solution to hold my phone, esp. when using Waze or GPS features...iOttie does the job! Simple to install, powerful magnets to hold my phone in place and it frees up the cupholder! I purchased for my wife's car too...great to have the same setup in both vehicles.

I purchased this because all of the other mounts that I have tried either covered, dragged down or broke my air vents or left sticky stuff all over my dash. The placement of my CD player makes is such that this doesn't block anything that I need when using my phone. All of my radio controls are on the steering wheel so I lose no functionality and I get back all of my air vents! My phone is secure and in easy reach and the whole set-up has proven to be secure and easy to use.

It’s been almost 6 months since I have been using this everyday and works perfectly without any issues. I don’t like mounts that block my ac vents or the ones that I need to stick on my dash. I could use this in my cd slot whenever I need it and remove it whenever I don’t. It is very easy to use and holds my iphone steady. Since it is magnetic, i could easily rotate my phone without any issues.

Attaches securely to my daily driver CD slot and holds my 7+ well. However, it doesn’t attach at all to my F150 CD slot. But functions well for the vehicle I drive mostly.

Works great and so easy to use. You should know, however, that the metal disk that you have to attach to the phone or case, does interfere with any wireless charging. Something I didn't even think of. To me though, the convenience of the holder outweighed the convenience of the wireless charger, so I put that away and stuck with this. It also holds well in the useless CD player slot. Glad to use it for something!

This CD slot cell phone mount is exactly what we were looking for! The magnet is strong and my phone doesn’t move no matter how bumpy the ride. You will not regret this purchase!

My wife drives a 14 year old BMW we bought new, still with low miles, just a radio and cd, no aux, no bluetooth.. Wouldn't have considered the cd mount if it weren't for the in-store geeks recommendation.. Much sturdier than I though it would be and the magnet holds the phone better than expected, even with the case on.. Now we're all hands free!

This is the best mount I've ever owned. It's extremely secure and it's easy to make minor adjustments to the angle of vision. No harsh clamp or adhesives that will leave a mark or stain on your vent or dash when it's removed. Will work in ANY vehicle with a CD player. The only downside is you have to take it out to change your CD. Since I don't play CD's that's no problem to me.

This works great for my car, I use it every time I get in my car, magnet is very sturdy and doesn’t move around while driving!
