Our previous Roomba was worn out and this one has a longer battery life and works very well. It would have had 5 stars had they included 2 Virtual wall barriers, instead of just one. Fortunately, my previous 2 work with this unit, so I now have 3 barriers - which really helps .

This is my second Roomba. I owned an early model Roomba well over 10 years ago. While I remember being satisfied with the cleaning functionalities of my older Roomba, I'm even more impressed with this model. The unit is well made and built with strong/durable parts. Setup and installation was simple. And the unit easily connected with my home WiFi and to the iRobot app on my Android based phone. Simply put, the Roomba works well. Its vacuuming ability is strong, and the coverage on this unit is perfect for an apartment or small house. It covered my 800-square foot place on one charge. Even if you have a large house, this robot can cover two to three rooms on a single charge. The unit has a built-in handle that allows you to easily pick up the unit to move it to any location in your home. It also come with a "virtual wall"; it's a small rectangular tower, about 4 inches tall, that allows you to place it anywhere to create a boundary that prevents the unit from crossing. I haven't had a need to use the included "wall" because I simply let it clean my whole house. But others may not want it to enter certain rooms or areas, so the wall would be useful in those situations. The unit does a great job picking up dirt, hair, dust bunnies, and any debris along walls or in corners. The motor that powers the two main wheels under the unit are very powerful. It moves around the floor and carpet with ease. iRobot recommends that you dump the collection canister after every use, but I've managed to get a couple of vacuums in without dumping the canister. But I wouldn't push it further than that. The unit does an excellent job picking up dirt and debris that the canister gets quite full after a vacuum or two. The app also provides indicators that the bin, brushes, or other parts need attention or replacement. The app also lets your schedule a cleaning for each day of the week. It allows you to start a cleaning remotely at any time. You could be on your couch or at work; you simply press the large green Clean circle within the app and the unit undocks from its base and begins cleaning. If for any reason, you need to end the cleaning cycle and send the unit automatically back home to its base, this can be done by pressing the physical clean button on the unit, or within the app. In summary, being that this is currently iRobot's entry level vacuum cleaner, and it's WiFi enabled to boot, you won't be disappointed with this unit. If you're considering adventuring into the world of automated cleaning, or thinking of returning to iRobot's products, this model would be a wise choice.

I would have purchased sooner if I knew how much time this would save our family! I love the Roomba 690 and can't believe all the dirt and dog hair it picks up daily. The battery lasts about 60 minutes, but charges fairly quickly. It isn't overly loud, but it isn't quiet either. We use it every day and clean it out every use. Our house just feels cleaner and I swear it has helped our sinuses!

This little robot helps keep our carpet clean in the high traffic areas. It picks up most everything and cleans a good size room in under an hour. Battery lasts 1 to 1-1/4 hrs between charges which takes 2-3 hours for a charge. Need to watch out for things that it can get tangled up in like lamp cords or tassels on a throw rug. It has gotten stuck a few times under the toe kick of our dishwasher and also the toe kick of our bathroom vanity. Very quiet on linoleum or carpet, but is quite noisy on 4x4 tile floor as it bumps along (still cleans well). Usually need to empty the dust bin after every session as it picks up dust and lint very well. If you have an irregular shaped room or lots of furniture, the robot sometimes has difficulty finding home base to recharge.

We named our Roomba 690, Clementine and she is working hard for more than a year. To begin, the setup was a breeze and you have just to download an app and press some buttons to connect it to your Wi-Fi. The app is simple and send good notifications. During this year, the maintenance and cleaning was simple and fast and the device really gets a lot of dirty. Unfortunately it gets stuck easily at times under some furniture and it is louder than thought it would be. It seems to have a good durability and a good battery life.

Easy to use, effective cleaning, runs very good after charged although it is loud, long charge and can get clogged at times. Most of all, love that it can clean up pet hair!

Great cleaner than makes you feel good. Easy to use and gets all the dirt up. Cleans for 2hours and they returns to the charger.

This is a must have..good for tile, wood, carpet, pickup pets hair, loose small items and more. The scheduling functionality is great and surprisingly the battery last a good 90 min for a single job/run. Highly recommended

This product is amazing. We have 1760 sq ft. It still cleans the whole house in one charge. Rarely struggles to find the home base after the job is done. Make sure you clean the bin and the brushes atleast once bi-weekly. Wooden floors are cleaned better than carpets. Non plush carpets are better cleaned than plush ones. Noise has increased a little bit over time but not many will notice that. Does its job perfectly. If possible buy one during the deals like thanksgiving or Memorial Day. They have atleast 100$ off during this time. Customer service is exceptional. They replaced the small rotator brush for free while in warranty. Easy to reach via call and easy to get replacement. Overall I had good experience with the product in ast one year. Also the iOS mobile app is flawless.

This was my first robotic vacuum cleaner, so I didn't know what to expect going in. The more advance, top line units were closing in on a thousand dollars, which was more then I wanted to risk on this technology. The 690 was middle of the road from what I could tell. Although it didn't exactly fall into the impressive category for me, it still was a good purchase. The area of the floor it rolls over, it cleans. It randomly bounces around a room, so one cant tell without keeping an eye on it, if 100% of the floor was covered. It's my understanding that the newest units, will map a room, remember where the obstacles are and systematically , with a back and forth movement, cover an entire room. That being said, the 690 does do a good job. It really isn't an activate and forget device. It will, almost every time you use it, get stuck under something, or get into an area, like under a kitchen table where it has a difficult time getting free of all the legs, it will alert you, and you go find it and pull it out and restart it. The battery has a plenty of power, my house is 2400 sqft, and there was never a time the battery has run out. I'v gotten to a point where I may pick the unit up and carry it to a specific room rather then hope it eventually finds it. The app works well, connecting the unit to your wifi was a snap, and connecting it to my Echo Dot 3rd gen, was easy. Overall I am happy I made the investment and may consider a higher end unit after this one dies.

This 690 vacuum cleans for about 80 minutes without needing to charge again. It cleans great on both wood and carpets. It works great picking up my dogs hair everywhere and dirt , stones etc.

The Roomba exceeded my expectations! The Roomba cleans very well, however, the battery life is much longer than I had expected. I will recommend the Roomba to my family and friends.

The roomba picks up well, even better than expected on new pile carpet. The maneuvering leaves something to be desired. If had to purchase again, might spend the extra money to get a version with better navigating or room mapping capabilities. Battery lasts as long as advertised however it is louder than expected. This isnt a defect of of the product but my two dogs hate it.

I bought the Roomba 690 for my parents' house to be used in their living, dining, and family rooms (approx 1600 sq ft). Was fairly straightforward to set up, doesn't take too much space to dock, and has a good battery life. I was most impressed by how smoothly it runs about the room. We do a cursory pick up before running, but the Roomba hasn't sucked up anything that gets stuck, and it navigates furniture very well. Can be left unattended for hours without issue. It does make a noticeable amount of noise, so you couldn't run it while a baby was sleeping, near a pet frightened by the vacuum, or while watching tv. Bottom line, would definitely reccommend for anyone who is looking for an autonomous, low maintenance smart vac.

You should definitely get one right now. It works with your WiFi network, you can even send it order from a different network and the device still works. I use it in my bedroom, it goes under the bed around the corners and does a great job. It usually runs for almost an hour, I assume it could work longer for bigger rooms or houses. It's great.

This is a very nice product to have for the house it does what it's supposed to do and it evens tell you when the bin is full and need to be changed and you could schedule cleanings during the week and I have a battery charger on your phone tell you how much battery I have left I think that's pretty nice

This was a very easy item to set up and start operating. Very pleased with actual cleaning actions. I have a dog (Old English Sheepdog) and he generates a large quantity of hair around the house. This swept up all hair on hard floors with ease. The real surprise was how well it did on the carpets. Running time on the battery charge is strong enough to do the entire house with no problems. The only problem is it is a little louder that my previous cleaner, but not overwhelming. I consider it a great addition for my home and great value.

I love this vacuum. This is my first robotic vacuum but it really is worth it. It will run for an hour before returning to recharge. The app is easy to use so I can have Alexa send it out or use the app. Great for under beds.

This Roomba goes in all different directions. It doesn’t go in a line/box pattern. It runs for about an hour before returning to the base. I’m having trouble getting it to connect to a 5GHz WiFi network so I need to figure that out but otherwise it’s a great product. Knocked off a star because of the WiFi issue. Also the little thing it comes with to put a border or circular area to block the Roomba off does not work.

We recently just bought a new house and close to 6000 sqf of hardwood I bought this to help keep up the house it will do the whole house on 1 charge it has a special remote that won’t allow it to go down the stairs which I was worried about but I tested it when I first got and it works amazing I highly recommend this for any house that has hardwood laminate or tile it doesn’t do so good on carpet or rugs but on a smooth surface it’s amazing!!!
