Must Buy in today’s times
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our first foray into the world of Robot vacuums and must say I personally am blown away by it. We have owned it for the last one month or so. We chose the S9+ iRobot Roomba since based on my research, it is the best robotic vacuum at this time. So far it has fit this bill perfectly. The installation was very simple and my daughter did it since she was so super excited about it that she would not wait up for me. So by the time I got to it, she had already installed it and kept it ready to go. We put in the laundry room and it does not take much space. We started the mapping run on day one of installation. It took a good 5-6 hours and we had a bit of doubt as to what exactly it was doing. But apparently this robot learns and now we have a daily schedule that vacuums the most frequently areas which it finishes in an hour and 10-12 mins like clock work. We have tiles on the first floor with carpet in two rooms. The vacuum switches from tile to carpet mode effortlessly. The vacuum’s suction (S9+ has the highest suction in current range of iRobot vaccums) seems just right. I am amazed at how the vacuum navigates itself through the maze in your house. The careful drive feature does work and it does not bump into objects. Also it seems to clean in areas that our usual vacuum does not reach. Although my wife would occasionally sweeps the floor to bring dirt from under normally stationary objects like sofa etc, it is not needed everyday. For the daily quick clean, make sure though that there are no dangling wires that may get entangled in the vacuum or any clothes. The vacuum can get stuck if there are clothes lying around. We do “clean everywhere “ deep clean on the weekends and that job finishes in about 5 years. If I had to suggest improvements, I would say somehow if they can make it more quieter in future, it would be awesome. Also I know this is asking too much, but if it can do stairs and go on second floor too. :) Little bit regarding the Mop. We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. All in all, very happy with the purchase!

Great products
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both these devices are amazing I have hardwood floors I have to clean every week for them to look nice and this combo does it for me great products. The robots have a learning curve that’s frustrating they get caught and can’t return but after running them 3 days in a row that has been cured so try not to be turned off by the early issues it gets better.

Netflix and Vacuum/Mop? Yes Please
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a few hiccups setting it up, and didn’t help when the whole cloud service through AWS went down the day after we got it. But since that got fixed been running fantastic! Vacuum works great and the self empty is a must! We have used it for a week and a half straight and haven’t had to empty it yet. The only negative is the mop not being able to cross thresholds that are a little tall. It confuses them with a rug. The mop action however is great, no streaks or leaks. I had to play with it a bit to get the no go zones and rooms mapped but once it’s set we can just pick rooms and let it go. We have a standard clean pattern with Vac/Mop with the press of one button. I would also recommend a strong internet connection since it has to go through the cloud for the maps. We have DSL and it’s hit or miss to no fault of iRobot.

Best purchase ever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The set up was surprisingly easy. Download the app, connect the device to home wifi and it's all good to go! Allowed the machine to charge to 100% and then allow it to go for a few rounds, to map my place. It could easily detect different rooms within the house, and for those that it couldn't, you could actually edit to split the zone into different zones. The vacuum and mopping are amazing. Best purchase ever ♥️

Cleans well when it works!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had the S9+ bundle with M6 Braava Mop for about 2 weeks and I have to say I am not impressed. I will admit it does a good job when it works. I get an error message everytime I try to use it and I spend more time on the phone with customer support than I would if I vacuumed myself. The M6 mop does a good job if you have 3 hours to kill. I don't feel I can leave it alone because it has gotten stuck multiple times. Another important point is that iRobot advertises that the vacuum and mop can sync to clean together, but that is not entirely true. It can not be scheduled to do that even though the app has a setting for it. Customer service told me that it will eventually be available in future software updates. However, if you set it as a new one time job it will work together. Overall it does clean very well, but for the price, I could not recommend it to anyone. Until iRobot fixes all the kinks save your money and don't make this purchase!

The Not So Dynamic Duo
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking combo! The S9 is a great vacuum. It does have the tendency to be fairly loud when operating. I recommend running when away from home or when not in meetings or trying to watch television. The disposal bin is a definitely worthy of the “+” for the S9. It makes emptying the vacuum less of a chore each time the vacuum dust bin is full. I did encounter the dreaded Error 31 upon setting up my vacuum and had to exchange it based on the recommendation from iRobot support. Mapping with the vacuum was a breeze, just ensure floors are clear and it doesn’t trap itself in rooms. The ability to customize floor plans and specify areas to clean was quite nice. Also the ability to team with the Braava m6 to mop after vacuuming an area is nice. I would definitely recommend the S9+. Now the Braava m6, the dumber twin in this duo. While it is beautiful it lacks some of the smarts of its S9 sibling. Mapping the house was difficult. It would consistently get lost and not find its way back to the base. I have yet for it to complete a cleaning without requiring my assistance to place it back on its base. The m6 also cannot operate in dark or dimly lit rooms. It will either not leave its base or would get lost when navigating to a darker area of the house. Please ensure lights are on when it’s in use. It would be great if there was a m6+ equivalent that had an cleaning solution refill tank. It does a decent job cleaning medium to light spills. Do not expect this product to replace doing a thorough mopping. It should be considered as an assistant to keep floors clean and tidy. I recommend the Braava m6 with caution. If you have a well lit home with minor spills, then the m6 is for you. Some other frustrations to note, both the S9 and Braava m6 must perform their own mapping of your home rather than having one machine map the home and sharing the home map between the two machines. Also, in order to use them as a pair those individual maps must be created otherwise the feature won’t work for cleaning certain areas. I also wish the iRobot app would share information of where the vacuum and mop are currently cleaning to make them easy to find if an error occurs. It only sometimes very briefly show the room being cleaned while it’s operating. I’d an error occurs that information is not available and you must make the machine play a sound to locate it (if the battery hasn’t died). These products are good (when they work) and look great if you prefer your appliances to match aesthetically. However, there is definitely room for improvement especially with the m6.

Excellent All Around
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have only had this unit for a few weeks, but the early results are excellent overall. Set up for both the vacuum and mop were simple. Vacuum: Mapping for the vac was quick and easy and the companion mobile app gives you plenty of options for establishing doorways, no-go zones, setting a schedule, etc, etc. We have a sunken living room and the stair detection works perfectly to stop the robot from going over the edge. We also have 2 dogs and this vacuum covers about 1800 sqft of hardwood surface and keeps the floors clean of dirt and debris and - most importantly - dog hair. Only real complaint with the vac is that it's LOUD. Even with the Quiet Clean setting enabled in the app, this thing is still loud. Not as loud as a traditional upright vac, but loud enough that you can hear it running from anywhere in the house. And if you're having a conversation in the same room as the vac, you better talk loudly. Light sleepers will not want to schedule this bot to clean overnight. Braava Mop: Probably too early to give an accurate grade, but so far so good. Because of the size of our house and the limited cleaning capacity of the mop, we do need to break up the cleaning routines a little bit and only have it do 2 rooms at a time, otherwise it will run out of water/solution before finishing. Mapping proved to be a little more difficult with this bot because of a transition strip on the floor separating the kitchen and laundry room. It went in the laundry room just fine but it wouldn't cross the strip to come back out. Fortunately, the app allows you to designate thresholds where ever you want. Once mapping was complete, I was able to place a threshold in that particular doorway and how the bot goes back and forth without issue. Seems to do a decent job keeping the floors generally clean, but I feel like I'm still going to need to do an occasional mopping of my own to get in corners and other "precision cleaning" that the bot can't do. This is a very quiet unit though. You can barely hear it even when it runs right by you. iRobot App: This is where Roomba makes it's money, imo. We got this bundle to replace a Shark IQ vacuum primarily because the Shark app was absolute garbage with limited functionality. Smart tech is only as good as the app that controls is and the app for these bots is excellent. Designating and labeling rooms, no-go zones, and even setting the order in which you want your bot to clean rooms is quick and easy. I can't rave about the app enough. Added Bonus: Alexa compatibility has also been flawless so far, which makes it great if you need a spot cleanup in between your scheduled cleanings. Just tell Alexa to vacuum or mop the kitchen or bathroom or wherever you need it to clean while you focus on doing other things. Overall, we're very pleased with this purchase. But keep in mind that you will still need to do a little cleaning up after them from time to time, but they're great for handling routine cleaning which frees us up for so many other things.

Good mop, disappointing vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The M6 mop works flawlessly. Really happy with it. Maps really well, mops in a pattern that is efficient. The S9 however, is a different story. I have one room with carpet and takes over 2.5 hours to vacuum on average. This is due to the recharging. Starts vacuuming before being fully charged, then has to return to be charged again. The vac does not vacuum in any pattern that makes sense. I've remapped and it didnt help. Just to vacuum downstairs it starts with a full charge and results are on average: 2.5 hours of vacuuming and 2.75 hours charging in addition. On tile floors, the vacuum runs on lower setting and can run longer, but still seems to get lost of what it is doing/where it is at.

Highly recommended product!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good bundle deal. I got it during thanksgiving sale. Highly recommended for people who have wooden / vinyl floor. — Schedule braava jet to run after vacuum cleaning. Really useful feature. Pros - 1. new design has better cleaning 2. Noise level is reduced 3. Smart map cleans faster over time. Cons - 1. Leaves dust in some places 2. Doesn’t dock properly sometimes. Need manual effort 3. Liquid soap for braava jet is expensive. You only get a small bottle which would last 2-3 cleanings.

Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using this vacuum a maximum of 10 times, it started showing errors due to the main vacuum component. After contacting support, they sent a replacement part for me to fix it myself by watching a video (ridiculous, as I bought a robot to save time, not to waste time doing mechanical repairs). Once repaired, it worked for another five uses before a new error occurred, this time related to the battery. To give you an idea of how little this item has been used, the brushes are still new without a single scratch. Frustrated with the situation, I went to Best Buy, as I have a 2-year warranty. At the limit of my patience with a product that has only given me problems, I decided to stop using it. Best Buy had to charge me a fee to try to repair the vacuum. This is definitely a problematic product that isn’t worth the price. On the other hand, the robot mop works without issues and does a good job. Apart from the water tank being small, I’d say it’s a good product for a small apartment

Roomba is amazing, braava is +/-
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this due to new job where I won't be home as much, and also a cat who loves to kick litter everywhere. The vacuum is amazing - ran the first run with vacuum so then the second mapping-only run wouldn't push litter and hairballs all over - I was SHOCKED with how much the roomba picked up even after I had just vacuumed. Picked up all litter, cat hair, my hair, everything. Great navigation. Took a little longer for the initial runs, but afterwards I've been able to run it smoothly and quickly. The braava, on the other hand, I am a bit less impressed with. It definitely mops, but it needed a lot more help with navigation than the roomba did. I'm still having issues getting it to go over some thresholds (it is parallel to the path the braava mops in so I am stymied re: how to teach it to discover that new area). It also didn't map as nicely as the roomba did, with some areas missed and some weird other areas added. I wish the roomba and the braava could share a map, but alas the braava must learn a map on its own. I like the aesthetic of them matching, so if cost is not an issue, by all means get the matching set.

Great quality but expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality and function, but expensive. I think a separate robo vac and mop is better than a combo unit. Be aware that when the Roomba empties into the base station, it is rather loud, but vacuums quite well. The Bravajet can struggle with higher thresholds, but does a decent (not great) job wet cleaning.

Very helpful in keeping the house clean
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really impressed at how well it works. Runs around tables, chairs, and other objects. Cleans well and keeps our shedding Sheltie hair from getting all over. Just push the clean now button and let it do its thing. The mop unit is a bit disappointing though. It cleans OK on the main floor but doesn't go over the floor transition from wood floor to tile floor, so that requires us to manually place the unit there. It also doesn't seem to like to go down the hallway so need to keep an eye on that to make sure it goes there. Have tried to remap the home to see if that helps, so we will see. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the vacuum unit and depending on your floor layout, the mop unit is good as well

Worth the investment (took a few months to appreci
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took forever to get the mop and vacuum mapped well enough to meet expectations. After 2 false starts it finally worked out. The vacuum works almost as well as me and my dyson. The mop is ok, but don’t expect it to scrub. Be sure to swap mop pads (i use the washable) after each job. The vac is good at letting me know when to change the bag or clean rollers. I have all the rooms set up and a couple small zones. We have 6 dogs so both get used frequently, but I always do a quick inspection before starting to avoid issues.

Vacuum is amazing. Mop is meh
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! Had it for a few weeks now. The vacuuming mapping capabilities is amazing. I have two stories and it definitely can detect stairs. Vacuums carpet and tile very well and gets allll the corners and wall crevices. The roller is kinda cheap. After a few days it already got torn by hair that it vacuumed. No big deal since it still works amazingly. I just like new things staying new for longer than a few days. I have a large home 3700+ sq ft and it’s a life saver. Must say customer service sucks. Lied to me and said they would give me a face plate for free. I wasn’t even trying to get a free one. I was trying to buy another one since it got scratched from vacuuming under the kitchen cabinet crevice which had a nail that I didn’t know about. I called to follow up since I hadn’t received it and that customer service rep said we wouldn’t say that. They can easily check call records and know that they did indeed tell us that. As for the mop. It’s not great or maybe it’s because the vacuum is ridiculously awesome. I wouldn’t buy it again. It mopped one foot into my carpet since there is no threshold. Even if I blocked that off, i have to say that it can’t clean mild stains on my tile. I have to run it multiple times.

Tiredofreviews
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba S9 + cleans well. Has trouble finding its home base. Not sure why? So then it never completes its job. The mop does a nice job and has some of the same issues. But better than the S9! Because of the issues of finding home base I can't fully recommend. I tried changing locations and still has problems.

Does what its designed for pretty well
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite impressive performance so far. The mapping activity took a few runs. I had to relocated base after which it completed mapping in one run. Does clean up from all corners and under furniture pretty well. Good suction plus empties out to the larger bin. Did find once that it died on its way to re-charge at base (this was like 3rd or 4th run). Mop works great a little slow but thorough cleaning, takes a few mins to dry out. One concern I have is once m6 parks back do see some accumulation on droplets from mop, will see how in few months that surface looks where mop contacts base.
