Great products
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both these devices are amazing I have hardwood floors I have to clean every week for them to look nice and this combo does it for me great products. The robots have a learning curve that’s frustrating they get caught and can’t return but after running them 3 days in a row that has been cured so try not to be turned off by the early issues it gets better.

Get less pay more!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t get this one apparently you pay more and get less. Found that out the hard way. Thinking it will avoid “obstacles” The mop is for very light surface cleanings you will still need to hand mop the floors if you live with more than 1 person or an animal.

The Not So Dynamic Duo
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking combo! The S9 is a great vacuum. It does have the tendency to be fairly loud when operating. I recommend running when away from home or when not in meetings or trying to watch television. The disposal bin is a definitely worthy of the “+” for the S9. It makes emptying the vacuum less of a chore each time the vacuum dust bin is full. I did encounter the dreaded Error 31 upon setting up my vacuum and had to exchange it based on the recommendation from iRobot support. Mapping with the vacuum was a breeze, just ensure floors are clear and it doesn’t trap itself in rooms. The ability to customize floor plans and specify areas to clean was quite nice. Also the ability to team with the Braava m6 to mop after vacuuming an area is nice. I would definitely recommend the S9+. Now the Braava m6, the dumber twin in this duo. While it is beautiful it lacks some of the smarts of its S9 sibling. Mapping the house was difficult. It would consistently get lost and not find its way back to the base. I have yet for it to complete a cleaning without requiring my assistance to place it back on its base. The m6 also cannot operate in dark or dimly lit rooms. It will either not leave its base or would get lost when navigating to a darker area of the house. Please ensure lights are on when it’s in use. It would be great if there was a m6+ equivalent that had an cleaning solution refill tank. It does a decent job cleaning medium to light spills. Do not expect this product to replace doing a thorough mopping. It should be considered as an assistant to keep floors clean and tidy. I recommend the Braava m6 with caution. If you have a well lit home with minor spills, then the m6 is for you. Some other frustrations to note, both the S9 and Braava m6 must perform their own mapping of your home rather than having one machine map the home and sharing the home map between the two machines. Also, in order to use them as a pair those individual maps must be created otherwise the feature won’t work for cleaning certain areas. I also wish the iRobot app would share information of where the vacuum and mop are currently cleaning to make them easy to find if an error occurs. It only sometimes very briefly show the room being cleaned while it’s operating. I’d an error occurs that information is not available and you must make the machine play a sound to locate it (if the battery hasn’t died). These products are good (when they work) and look great if you prefer your appliances to match aesthetically. However, there is definitely room for improvement especially with the m6.

Best robot vacuum for carpet floor, the mop so so
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got it for a 1 month now and during 400 dollars off promotion from manufacturer. Wife really loves the roomba vacuum because its like having an extra person to help. It has a very powerful suction and leaves the carpet clean and covers most of the area. The auto empty is amazing. No more dust and hair spilling back out or need to use hand to pull dirt hair out. The self empty bag can hold a lot of dirt. Map is accurate. Easy to maintain, the rollers pop right out and you can get the hair out from the edge or anything jammed easily. Remember to pick up the toys or items from floor before vacuuming. Very tight and convoluted spaces could get it trapped/confused. Roomba would be a 5 star. Just 3 complaints for the mop: 1. need to swap out the mop after wet use, otherwise it will stink, not as convenient as the roomba. 2, it has trouble docking home after mopping job is done, it will eventually get docked after 4 or 5 tries, kind of annoying. 3, If you want it to mop the toilet after mopping the kitchen and you have carpet floor inbetween, it wont be able to get there as it was programmed not to go over carpet with a wet mop, you will have to pick it up and bring it over. But if your first floor is all wooden, it should do a decent job of cleaning.

Love How I Don't Have to Vacuum or Mop Myself
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was easy to set up and only took three mapping runs for the vacuum and two for the mop. The vacuum is a bit loud, but what vacuum isn't!? I love how the vacuum empties itself, such a nice feature. It does bump in to the walls and furniture, but not enough to make a mark or anything. It has closed itself in my bedroom by bumping in to the door enough to close it, but it sends me a message so I can go save it. I like how the mop runs dry or wet, but I'm definitely going to purchase the washable pads. Also love how I can tell Alexa what I want and the vacuum just takes off. The mop can also mop automatically when the vacuum is done if you wish, so I love that as well. Watch for the sales as it is pricey, but such a good treat for myself.

Some glitches but overall a great product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my 1st ever robot vacuum. Setup was easy enough but my initial thought was, this thing doesn’t seem very smart at all during the training run. My view after the training did change because it seemed to get way smarter. Overall, I am very happy with it along with the app but feel like the app could have a few more features for the hefty price tag the S9+ & braava jet m6 have. When you look at the history, it should show what room was cleaned according to what you named them instead of clicking on each event to see the map and what room it cleaned. You should be able to look at specified room history. So if I type or click on “living room”, it should show all the dates & times it’s been vacuumed. Otherwise you have to click through the history trying to figure out when you vacuumed it last if you can’t remember. I do like the feature to schedule jobs but that doesn’t really work for me because I don’t always have the same hours at work and I have cats that bring their toys out and leave them wherever. So I prefer to be home to make sure no cat toys are in the way. There was already an incident with a gift bag and the Roomba because of the cats got it out from underneath the Xmas tree. The ribbon handle ended up wrapped around the rollers and the small metal pieces on the ends, almost cut the rollers. Anyway, when you send the Roomba out to clean specified rooms, it should show some type of info of what rooms were specified and what the status is. So for example, if I send it out to clean the kitchen and living room and it is finished with the kitchen and currently vacuuming the LR, it should have a check mark by the kitchen and some indication that the LR is currently being vacuumed. You should also be able to edit that list unless it’s the one currently being cleaned. You should be able to take something off of it or even add a room to the list. Real time progress on a map would be great also. The areas it’s already vacuumed greyed out. Or even better, real time camera view from the Roomba. Maybe that’s a little too futuristic thinking. Also, you should be able to have presets for each room set up ahead of time. Right now I have my Roomba set to go on the highest setting and to do two passes since most of my space is carpet and I have 4 animals. I have noticed it doesn’t always stay on that setting and I have to change it frequently along with the two passes. But when I vacuum my kitchen I have to change the settings because there isn’t a need for it to be on the highest setting or to do two passes. I tried the “detailed clean and that seemed to work well as far as going to the quieter mode in the kitchen but the problem is, on that mode on carpet, it’s only at medium power. I want it on the highest power for carpet. To show the power level I’ll use my cordless Dyson v10 as an example. At my front door I have an entryway carpet mat that is very flat, about 3’x 4’. I have to use low speed on the Dyson so it doesn’t suck the carpet up and want to move it. On the Roomba, it can go on the highest speed and it doesn’t affect the rug in any way as far as sucking it up or moving it. Which is great that I don’t have to worry about it ever being a problem but it tells me that it has significantly less power than a cordless Dyson. With all the research I did prior to buying the s9+ and m6, I seen and read a lot about all the power that the s9 has. So it seemed a bit hyped up for what it was. But as far as for a robot vacuum, I’m sure it does have way more power than majority of them. Seems to be a little bit of a glitch in the app or robot at times. I wanted the Roomba to go to my bdrm and it went into the hallway and then into the living room for a few minutes each and then went home and it didn’t show up on the map that it vacuumed anywhere. I tried it again and the same thing happened. I ended up deleting the map and retrained it. Kind of a pain to redo it all. The new map is definitely different than my first one. The first one seemed a little more detailed and this new one has weird little spots that don’t really exist past my walls but yet it shows those spots get vacuumed each time. Lol. Also, the keep out zones don’t seem to work 100% of the time. I have my dogs food and water dishes in the keep out zone but the Roomba continues to bump into them. I’ve redone the keep out zone at least 10 times and I finally put another keep out zone on top of it. It now slightly gets into the area but not enough to bump the dishes, so I’m good with where it’s at now. Just wish the keep out zone was truly a keep out zone. Seems like you have to make it way bigger than what it actually needs to be. As far as the m6, it won’t let me edit the map in my bthrm. Says it’s still training. Even tho I have ran mopping jobs and training runs in their about 30 times over the past couple weeks but it still shows the same. Not sure if it is because the space isn’t large enough or what. When it gets done mopping it, it shows it’s 21 square feet. Maybe there is a minimum of 25’ idk. I wish the m6 would go on carpet to get to my bthrm from the kitchen but then it would get the carpet wet along the way. I am happy with it overall but it’s definitely not as smart as the Roomba(Alfred), I do like the fact that the m6(Rosie) gets around each leg of kitchen chairs very well. So even tho she isn’t spraying underneath the table since there isn’t enough room to back up spray and go forward, the wet pad is wet enough that it gets under there good enough for me. So overall I am happy with the purchase because I no longer have to vacuum or mop!!

Sub-par Mop but great Vacum
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vacum is top notch but if the best mop robot is the m6 then id rather do it myself. The mapping on the m6 just isnt worth it and it also has trouble docking itself. Tough time figuring out the rug and difficulty going in and out of bathrooms. I guess it would be great if u lived in a square empty room. BUT THE VACUM IS TOP NOTCH. It would be nice if the mop used the same map as the vacum and made adjustments from the already mapped vacum technology.

Roomba is amazing, braava is +/-
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this due to new job where I won't be home as much, and also a cat who loves to kick litter everywhere. The vacuum is amazing - ran the first run with vacuum so then the second mapping-only run wouldn't push litter and hairballs all over - I was SHOCKED with how much the roomba picked up even after I had just vacuumed. Picked up all litter, cat hair, my hair, everything. Great navigation. Took a little longer for the initial runs, but afterwards I've been able to run it smoothly and quickly. The braava, on the other hand, I am a bit less impressed with. It definitely mops, but it needed a lot more help with navigation than the roomba did. I'm still having issues getting it to go over some thresholds (it is parallel to the path the braava mops in so I am stymied re: how to teach it to discover that new area). It also didn't map as nicely as the roomba did, with some areas missed and some weird other areas added. I wish the roomba and the braava could share a map, but alas the braava must learn a map on its own. I like the aesthetic of them matching, so if cost is not an issue, by all means get the matching set.

Very helpful in keeping the house clean
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really impressed at how well it works. Runs around tables, chairs, and other objects. Cleans well and keeps our shedding Sheltie hair from getting all over. Just push the clean now button and let it do its thing. The mop unit is a bit disappointing though. It cleans OK on the main floor but doesn't go over the floor transition from wood floor to tile floor, so that requires us to manually place the unit there. It also doesn't seem to like to go down the hallway so need to keep an eye on that to make sure it goes there. Have tried to remap the home to see if that helps, so we will see. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the vacuum unit and depending on your floor layout, the mop unit is good as well

Roomba Seems To Be Losing Their Edge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having an older generation Roomba, I was excited to buy this new combo package to add some advanced room features and mopping to our house cleaning routine. Unfortunately, my experience was almost immediately soured by poor packaging, navigation, and customer service. Firstly, upon arriving, the s9+ made a horrible grinding noise when vacuuming around the house. After doing some research, it turns out their is a known defect where the brush housing is bent, causing the brushes and plastic framing to grind on the floor. I decided to put in a ticket for that. Meanwhile, I opened the Braava box to find that it had a defective lid. As soon as the mop bumped into something, the lid would spring open and fling the door clip across the floor. No worries, I thought. I'll open a ticket for that as well (while referencing my original ticket number) and just taped the lid shut in the meantime. Over the next several days, both the vacuum and mop really struggled to create an accurate map of our home and would often get lost- even in fully-lit rooms. In addition, they would complete jobs without ever going to rooms that were already on the map. This really added to my initial frustration as our several generations old Roomba could more easily navigate around the house without such erratic behavior. After a week, I still had not received a response to either support ticket opened with Roomba, despite them saying I should receive a response within 48 hours. Finally, after 9 days and as I was packing up the robots to return them, I received a response to my first ticket. They said they were in the process of switching customer service platforms and that led to the delay in responding. Sadly, I had enough at that point. I'm really disappointed by just how poor my experience was with this new generation of Roomba devices. I used to recommend them to everyone but now I'm more cautious about choosing them again. It seems they've gotten too comfortable at the top of the market and have been slow to adopt newer features like LIDAR for faster mapping and enhanced obstacle avoidance. In addition, these newer Roombas, while elegant-looking, don't seem to have the durability that the older devices had.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba S9 + cleans well. Has trouble finding its home base. Not sure why? So then it never completes its job. The mop does a nice job and has some of the same issues. But better than the S9! Because of the issues of finding home base I can't fully recommend. I tried changing locations and still has problems.

Amazing little helper.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do love my roomba! It does a great job keeping the pet hair under control for two dogs and a long haired cat. It did take a couple of runs to figure out which areas would cause problems like the bed skirt and cords under the bed. It also got stuck in the walk in shower. We have tile floors, area rugs and carpet. I am really amazed with just how much fur this little machine can pick up. I will say there maybe a concern - the last two runs the battery has died before it could make it back the charging station.

In love with Dustin Bieber and Moptimus Prime
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to spend this much on something like this but I love when I’m getting dinner ready and vacuuming the living room at the same time. The vacuum works great and gets up everything it has come across so far. It does get hung up on our coffee table occasionally but I still highly recommend. Have mapped the house and love being able to just do one room at a time. Haven’t used the mop as much but what I have done has done a great job. Well worth the money.

Smart mop, not so smart vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mop is great, you can see it has a great pattern and gets the job done pretty good. The vacuum is another story, it’s all over the place. It has no pattern on it vacuuming then it will keep going back and forth from one spot to another like it is confused. It’s has mapped rooms that do not exist, not sure how that happened. We’ve had it for over 4 months already and we have it in our kitchen, to this date it will still leave the dock and head straight to our kitchen table and work it’s way around the chairs legs, which takes at least 3-5 minutes instead of going around the table which would take seconds!!!! We have an Australian shepherd and it does do a great job on picking up his hair so that’s where the 2 stars comes from and that is the only reason we did not return it, we have just learned to live with the dumb vacuum lol.

Mixed review
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It cleans & mops ok. My issue is it takes more time than if we just swept & mopped the old fashioned way. We move several things each time like rugs that the vacuum would get caught on. It struggles to find its way out from under items with legs on the floor like stands & chairs. It keeps retracing where it’s been-it doesn’t efficiently follow its map. It had trouble returning home then support told us the vacuum & mop couldn’t be close together (not mentioned in instructions). I didn’t want two separate home bases. Too much money for the benefits we see.

decent devices
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the set during the christmas sale, however if I could go back in time I would've only bought the vacuum, I have ceramic tiles and the braava just doesn't cut it. It seems to leave dirty little spots. I think it could be the solution since you are supposed to only use their soap. The roomba also has a death wish. It continually flies off the step. I haven't drawn the map yet but I thought it had sensors for this. I have thick carpet and 3 dogs, a tough job for any machine. The roomba does a decent job but the edge of the carpet the meets the walls are never clean.

iRobot needs to get their stuff together.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the way this set looks and how it matches. The mop worked wonderfully, but the S9 I received was a dud. After a few minutes of mapping or vacuuming, it would give error 31 (communication error) with a red light ring, or error 21 (navigation error). I rebooted it several times like the app suggested, to no avail. I even factory reset it with no luck. iRobot customer care apparently didn't plan ahead to keep any warranty replacements in stock, as I was told my S9 needed to be replaced, but a replacement was several weeks out. iRobot needs to get their stuff together. I ended up just exchanging mine for one of the many bestbuy had in stock. One other major gripe I have is the dustbin design. The spot where the sensor reads how full it is tends to get stuck dirt, tricking the sensor into thinking the bin is full even if it's been emptied. It's also very difficult to get to that spot to clean it.. I had to use a qtip to clear the dirt. I know I'm not the only one to experience errors with this vacuum. I don't understand why this vacuum has been out for at least a year now and there are still seemingly widespread issues. Especially when they are asking for such a high premium. iRobot, get your quality control in check. With how much money you guys ask for your products, there's no excuse to have sub par quality control. It's not a premium experience to have to deal with such a rigmarole with warranty only to find out you guys don't have any replacements to cover warranty issues. This is ridiculous.
