Great combo
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both units work very well. The vacuum is by far the best robot vacuum I’ve come across. I have 3 cats, a dog, and 2 chinchillas so needless to say I have a lot of pet hair floating around. The vacuum does an amazing job at cleaning virtually all of the pet hair among other dirt and debris from my floors. However I do have a couple gripes with it. First, it is a very loud unit. It almost rivals a traditional vacuum in terms of noise. There is an option for “quiet” operation but take that with a grain of salt because it is still very loud with that enabled. Second, the front bumper seems to get “stuck” a lot. It’s almost every time I run it I have to tap the bumper to fix it otherwise it’ll dance in a circle thinking it’s constantly hitting a wall. That being said I would suggest someone be home while the vacuum unit is running, just to help ensure it cleans your home and not just a small circle. The mop works very well. It’s good to help maintain clean floors and works well on all hard surfaces. This unit I would suggest running while you are not home. My house is only 1800sqft and it takes the mop about 3 hours on average to do just the living room and kitchen. It will auto detect carpet surfaces and avoid those areas, but this unit will take a long time to clean. This unit will not deep clean so anything that requires a little more elbow grease will need to be hit with a traditional mop. The one thing I love is that both units will communicate to one another. So you can start a new job that has the mop clean after the vacuum is done without the need of opening your app back up to start them individually. I’ve seen this bundle go on sale multiple times, if you can get it while on sale it’s 100% worth it.

Great purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba has been a great purchase and our floors have been much cleaner. Although it still needs help every so often, it’s nothing that is a problem. It took a few runs to figure out our floor plan, but now it can identify assigned rooms. The best job it does is scaring the kids into making sure all their stuff is off the floor! Would definitely recommend the self emptying option. The Braava, or mop robot, that came with the Roomba had issues from the start. I have contacted customer service and after agreeing it had issues, are sending us a replacement.

I appreciate the help, but .....
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Vacuum is quite good, mapped the house quit easily and rarely gets 'lost' or trapped. The mop does not seem to have the same level of tech sophistication and has yet to mop the whole house successfully; its far better with shorter, one-room assignments .

The Not So Dynamic Duo
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great looking combo! The S9 is a great vacuum. It does have the tendency to be fairly loud when operating. I recommend running when away from home or when not in meetings or trying to watch television. The disposal bin is a definitely worthy of the “+” for the S9. It makes emptying the vacuum less of a chore each time the vacuum dust bin is full. I did encounter the dreaded Error 31 upon setting up my vacuum and had to exchange it based on the recommendation from iRobot support. Mapping with the vacuum was a breeze, just ensure floors are clear and it doesn’t trap itself in rooms. The ability to customize floor plans and specify areas to clean was quite nice. Also the ability to team with the Braava m6 to mop after vacuuming an area is nice. I would definitely recommend the S9+. Now the Braava m6, the dumber twin in this duo. While it is beautiful it lacks some of the smarts of its S9 sibling. Mapping the house was difficult. It would consistently get lost and not find its way back to the base. I have yet for it to complete a cleaning without requiring my assistance to place it back on its base. The m6 also cannot operate in dark or dimly lit rooms. It will either not leave its base or would get lost when navigating to a darker area of the house. Please ensure lights are on when it’s in use. It would be great if there was a m6+ equivalent that had an cleaning solution refill tank. It does a decent job cleaning medium to light spills. Do not expect this product to replace doing a thorough mopping. It should be considered as an assistant to keep floors clean and tidy. I recommend the Braava m6 with caution. If you have a well lit home with minor spills, then the m6 is for you. Some other frustrations to note, both the S9 and Braava m6 must perform their own mapping of your home rather than having one machine map the home and sharing the home map between the two machines. Also, in order to use them as a pair those individual maps must be created otherwise the feature won’t work for cleaning certain areas. I also wish the iRobot app would share information of where the vacuum and mop are currently cleaning to make them easy to find if an error occurs. It only sometimes very briefly show the room being cleaned while it’s operating. I’d an error occurs that information is not available and you must make the machine play a sound to locate it (if the battery hasn’t died). These products are good (when they work) and look great if you prefer your appliances to match aesthetically. However, there is definitely room for improvement especially with the m6.

Excellent All Around
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have only had this unit for a few weeks, but the early results are excellent overall. Set up for both the vacuum and mop were simple. Vacuum: Mapping for the vac was quick and easy and the companion mobile app gives you plenty of options for establishing doorways, no-go zones, setting a schedule, etc, etc. We have a sunken living room and the stair detection works perfectly to stop the robot from going over the edge. We also have 2 dogs and this vacuum covers about 1800 sqft of hardwood surface and keeps the floors clean of dirt and debris and - most importantly - dog hair. Only real complaint with the vac is that it's LOUD. Even with the Quiet Clean setting enabled in the app, this thing is still loud. Not as loud as a traditional upright vac, but loud enough that you can hear it running from anywhere in the house. And if you're having a conversation in the same room as the vac, you better talk loudly. Light sleepers will not want to schedule this bot to clean overnight. Braava Mop: Probably too early to give an accurate grade, but so far so good. Because of the size of our house and the limited cleaning capacity of the mop, we do need to break up the cleaning routines a little bit and only have it do 2 rooms at a time, otherwise it will run out of water/solution before finishing. Mapping proved to be a little more difficult with this bot because of a transition strip on the floor separating the kitchen and laundry room. It went in the laundry room just fine but it wouldn't cross the strip to come back out. Fortunately, the app allows you to designate thresholds where ever you want. Once mapping was complete, I was able to place a threshold in that particular doorway and how the bot goes back and forth without issue. Seems to do a decent job keeping the floors generally clean, but I feel like I'm still going to need to do an occasional mopping of my own to get in corners and other "precision cleaning" that the bot can't do. This is a very quiet unit though. You can barely hear it even when it runs right by you. iRobot App: This is where Roomba makes it's money, imo. We got this bundle to replace a Shark IQ vacuum primarily because the Shark app was absolute garbage with limited functionality. Smart tech is only as good as the app that controls is and the app for these bots is excellent. Designating and labeling rooms, no-go zones, and even setting the order in which you want your bot to clean rooms is quick and easy. I can't rave about the app enough. Added Bonus: Alexa compatibility has also been flawless so far, which makes it great if you need a spot cleanup in between your scheduled cleanings. Just tell Alexa to vacuum or mop the kitchen or bathroom or wherever you need it to clean while you focus on doing other things. Overall, we're very pleased with this purchase. But keep in mind that you will still need to do a little cleaning up after them from time to time, but they're great for handling routine cleaning which frees us up for so many other things.

Vacuum is excellent, but a few minor details haunt
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is mainly the vacuum review--haven't broken out the mop yet so I will post up a review. Roomba s9+: As a previous owner of a roomba, I was favorably impressed with the new design of the rubber "pickup" beaters. MUCH improved. I threw the beast to the wolves--carpet, where 4 cats, 2 dogs and a room that had not been vacuumed in several weeks. As expected, it failed miserably. HOWEVER, it was a good failure. Instead of just sucking up the loose stuff it grabbed up and balled up fur and left huge handful size tufts of it all over whereever it ran. Needless to say, the Vac itself got plugged up as did the Vacuum base. Good news! Really easy to unclog the robot, but they could have taken a page out of Dyson's engineering manual with the Vac Base--took 4 screws to remove the cover. Cleaned out quickly and the screws went back in. Should have been clipped in and more easily removed. So I hand vaccumed the piles of fur and did a once over of the whole carpet. Re-ran the Roomba over the room and it picked up a lot more stuff that my dyson (old) missed. I double checked the carpet up close, and it was very clean. The roomba itself was noticeably quieter running than the previous one I had, and did a much better job with the vacuum pattern than the previous one. The Battery seems a bit small--two rounds of somewhat less than 450 square feet dropped the battery level to around 50%. The app and mapping feature is a work in progress. It takes several runs to actually map an area, but once the map is locked in, you can specify certain areas to clean and save them and schedule them especially if they are high dirt areas like doorways/foyers or the like. The Vacuum base is an interesting item--it's merely a charging base with a suction motor that pulls the dirt from the roomba up into a small dust bag inside the top cover. It's a pretty standard setup--friction fit bag that slips over a small nozzle. The bags aren't large, but might be good for a couple weeks or more of standard vacuum dirt. The App I mentioned is very good--it has all the bells and whistles I think are needed--but I'm new to it, so every use is a new adventure. It'll handle more than one iRobot, so as soon as I turn on the mop, I'll be able to add it to the list easily 4 stars. unclogging (albeit an extreme case) was more difficult than it needed to be. I'm suspect of the battery life (although it will return for a charge then continue the vacuum cycle), and finally, the vacuum base is LOUD when the roomba docks and it engages to suck the dirt into the bag. Louder than any vacuum I have! But, it only lasts several seconds. Tolerable given I don't have to do the vacuuming :) Good buy, but Find it ON-SALE only.

Best robot vacuum for carpet floor, the mop so so
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got it for a 1 month now and during 400 dollars off promotion from manufacturer. Wife really loves the roomba vacuum because its like having an extra person to help. It has a very powerful suction and leaves the carpet clean and covers most of the area. The auto empty is amazing. No more dust and hair spilling back out or need to use hand to pull dirt hair out. The self empty bag can hold a lot of dirt. Map is accurate. Easy to maintain, the rollers pop right out and you can get the hair out from the edge or anything jammed easily. Remember to pick up the toys or items from floor before vacuuming. Very tight and convoluted spaces could get it trapped/confused. Roomba would be a 5 star. Just 3 complaints for the mop: 1. need to swap out the mop after wet use, otherwise it will stink, not as convenient as the roomba. 2, it has trouble docking home after mopping job is done, it will eventually get docked after 4 or 5 tries, kind of annoying. 3, If you want it to mop the toilet after mopping the kitchen and you have carpet floor inbetween, it wont be able to get there as it was programmed not to go over carpet with a wet mop, you will have to pick it up and bring it over. But if your first floor is all wooden, it should do a decent job of cleaning.

Love How I Don't Have to Vacuum or Mop Myself
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was easy to set up and only took three mapping runs for the vacuum and two for the mop. The vacuum is a bit loud, but what vacuum isn't!? I love how the vacuum empties itself, such a nice feature. It does bump in to the walls and furniture, but not enough to make a mark or anything. It has closed itself in my bedroom by bumping in to the door enough to close it, but it sends me a message so I can go save it. I like how the mop runs dry or wet, but I'm definitely going to purchase the washable pads. Also love how I can tell Alexa what I want and the vacuum just takes off. The mop can also mop automatically when the vacuum is done if you wish, so I love that as well. Watch for the sales as it is pricey, but such a good treat for myself.

Some glitches but overall a great product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was my 1st ever robot vacuum. Setup was easy enough but my initial thought was, this thing doesn’t seem very smart at all during the training run. My view after the training did change because it seemed to get way smarter. Overall, I am very happy with it along with the app but feel like the app could have a few more features for the hefty price tag the S9+ & braava jet m6 have. When you look at the history, it should show what room was cleaned according to what you named them instead of clicking on each event to see the map and what room it cleaned. You should be able to look at specified room history. So if I type or click on “living room”, it should show all the dates & times it’s been vacuumed. Otherwise you have to click through the history trying to figure out when you vacuumed it last if you can’t remember. I do like the feature to schedule jobs but that doesn’t really work for me because I don’t always have the same hours at work and I have cats that bring their toys out and leave them wherever. So I prefer to be home to make sure no cat toys are in the way. There was already an incident with a gift bag and the Roomba because of the cats got it out from underneath the Xmas tree. The ribbon handle ended up wrapped around the rollers and the small metal pieces on the ends, almost cut the rollers. Anyway, when you send the Roomba out to clean specified rooms, it should show some type of info of what rooms were specified and what the status is. So for example, if I send it out to clean the kitchen and living room and it is finished with the kitchen and currently vacuuming the LR, it should have a check mark by the kitchen and some indication that the LR is currently being vacuumed. You should also be able to edit that list unless it’s the one currently being cleaned. You should be able to take something off of it or even add a room to the list. Real time progress on a map would be great also. The areas it’s already vacuumed greyed out. Or even better, real time camera view from the Roomba. Maybe that’s a little too futuristic thinking. Also, you should be able to have presets for each room set up ahead of time. Right now I have my Roomba set to go on the highest setting and to do two passes since most of my space is carpet and I have 4 animals. I have noticed it doesn’t always stay on that setting and I have to change it frequently along with the two passes. But when I vacuum my kitchen I have to change the settings because there isn’t a need for it to be on the highest setting or to do two passes. I tried the “detailed clean and that seemed to work well as far as going to the quieter mode in the kitchen but the problem is, on that mode on carpet, it’s only at medium power. I want it on the highest power for carpet. To show the power level I’ll use my cordless Dyson v10 as an example. At my front door I have an entryway carpet mat that is very flat, about 3’x 4’. I have to use low speed on the Dyson so it doesn’t suck the carpet up and want to move it. On the Roomba, it can go on the highest speed and it doesn’t affect the rug in any way as far as sucking it up or moving it. Which is great that I don’t have to worry about it ever being a problem but it tells me that it has significantly less power than a cordless Dyson. With all the research I did prior to buying the s9+ and m6, I seen and read a lot about all the power that the s9 has. So it seemed a bit hyped up for what it was. But as far as for a robot vacuum, I’m sure it does have way more power than majority of them. Seems to be a little bit of a glitch in the app or robot at times. I wanted the Roomba to go to my bdrm and it went into the hallway and then into the living room for a few minutes each and then went home and it didn’t show up on the map that it vacuumed anywhere. I tried it again and the same thing happened. I ended up deleting the map and retrained it. Kind of a pain to redo it all. The new map is definitely different than my first one. The first one seemed a little more detailed and this new one has weird little spots that don’t really exist past my walls but yet it shows those spots get vacuumed each time. Lol. Also, the keep out zones don’t seem to work 100% of the time. I have my dogs food and water dishes in the keep out zone but the Roomba continues to bump into them. I’ve redone the keep out zone at least 10 times and I finally put another keep out zone on top of it. It now slightly gets into the area but not enough to bump the dishes, so I’m good with where it’s at now. Just wish the keep out zone was truly a keep out zone. Seems like you have to make it way bigger than what it actually needs to be. As far as the m6, it won’t let me edit the map in my bthrm. Says it’s still training. Even tho I have ran mopping jobs and training runs in their about 30 times over the past couple weeks but it still shows the same. Not sure if it is because the space isn’t large enough or what. When it gets done mopping it, it shows it’s 21 square feet. Maybe there is a minimum of 25’ idk. I wish the m6 would go on carpet to get to my bthrm from the kitchen but then it would get the carpet wet along the way. I am happy with it overall but it’s definitely not as smart as the Roomba(Alfred), I do like the fact that the m6(Rosie) gets around each leg of kitchen chairs very well. So even tho she isn’t spraying underneath the table since there isn’t enough room to back up spray and go forward, the wet pad is wet enough that it gets under there good enough for me. So overall I am happy with the purchase because I no longer have to vacuum or mop!!

Highly recommended product!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good bundle deal. I got it during thanksgiving sale. Highly recommended for people who have wooden / vinyl floor. — Schedule braava jet to run after vacuum cleaning. Really useful feature. Pros - 1. new design has better cleaning 2. Noise level is reduced 3. Smart map cleans faster over time. Cons - 1. Leaves dust in some places 2. Doesn’t dock properly sometimes. Need manual effort 3. Liquid soap for braava jet is expensive. You only get a small bottle which would last 2-3 cleanings.

Updated Bundle
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally bought this bundle as a birthday gift. Both the vacuum and mop worked great at first. Five months later, the vaccum started making a loud noise. Lifted it up to find pueces of plastic falling of it. The plastic pieces were from part of the frame in the vacuum. We have wood floors, and the vacuum did not run over anything that would have caused damage. For the "exchange" at Best Buy, I had to return the entire bundle, even though the mop worked perfectly. The exchange process was very simple. The team worked with me, even though the vacuum typically has to be returned to the manufacturer (yay protection package). With the new bundle, the vacuum is working perfectly so far (its been five months now). The mop does not work as well as the previous, even though its the exact same model. The mop is louder and leaves tracks on the floor. It does clean the floor though. We are a busy, working family, and even though I'm not as happy with this mop as the previous mop, I still recommend both the vacuum and mop. It makes cleaning the floor so easy. Kudos to Best Buy for standing behind their protection warranty and making the exchange process simple.

Great quality but expensive
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality and function, but expensive. I think a separate robo vac and mop is better than a combo unit. Be aware that when the Roomba empties into the base station, it is rather loud, but vacuums quite well. The Bravajet can struggle with higher thresholds, but does a decent (not great) job wet cleaning.

Effortless Cleaning Companion
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased a Roomba and have been thoroughly impressed with its performance. This little device has made a significant difference in maintaining the cleanliness of my home. It navigates around furniture with ease and transitions from hardwood floors to carpets without any issues. The scheduling feature is a game-changer, allowing me to come home to freshly vacuumed floors every day. Its compact design helps it to reach under most furniture, ensuring that no dust bunnies are left behind. I also appreciate how it docks itself after cleaning. Although it can be a bit noisy, the convenience it offers far outweighs this minor drawback. Highly recommended for anyone looking to take the hassle out of vacuuming.

Vacuum is amazing. Mop is meh
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! Had it for a few weeks now. The vacuuming mapping capabilities is amazing. I have two stories and it definitely can detect stairs. Vacuums carpet and tile very well and gets allll the corners and wall crevices. The roller is kinda cheap. After a few days it already got torn by hair that it vacuumed. No big deal since it still works amazingly. I just like new things staying new for longer than a few days. I have a large home 3700+ sq ft and it’s a life saver. Must say customer service sucks. Lied to me and said they would give me a face plate for free. I wasn’t even trying to get a free one. I was trying to buy another one since it got scratched from vacuuming under the kitchen cabinet crevice which had a nail that I didn’t know about. I called to follow up since I hadn’t received it and that customer service rep said we wouldn’t say that. They can easily check call records and know that they did indeed tell us that. As for the mop. It’s not great or maybe it’s because the vacuum is ridiculously awesome. I wouldn’t buy it again. It mopped one foot into my carpet since there is no threshold. Even if I blocked that off, i have to say that it can’t clean mild stains on my tile. I have to run it multiple times.

As expected! Sort of....
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s start with the vacuum. By far, this is their best offering so far. It maps better, avoids better, climbs better, and empties flawlessly. The negatives are obviously the price, the noise on emptying (Sounds like a jet taking off), and their decision to use bags, costing you a fortune over time. As far as the mop, it’s significantly “Dumber” than the vacuum. It mops well, but it bumps hard, is slow (expected), requires a pricey solution for mopping, and gets stuck easier than roombas from 5 years ago. It will go over a room transition fine, but really won’t come back over it, locking itself in a room. The Bluetooth / WiFi controls are a nice touch. Overall, you can trust the vacuum while gone, the mop, not so much. Be there for that so you can move it when it’s stuck.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Roomba S9 + cleans well. Has trouble finding its home base. Not sure why? So then it never completes its job. The mop does a nice job and has some of the same issues. But better than the S9! Because of the issues of finding home base I can't fully recommend.
