Great usb hub being powered helps with running multiple external drives

This powered 7 port hub by j5create made a big difference for my pc to identify a 2 terabyte USB3 drive with out the powered hub, the PC did not identify that the external drive was actually connected to the same USB3 port. A must to have if your lap top or pc has limited USB3 ports. It is backwards compatible to all USB2 device as well.

great for home, I havent tried with a lot of stuff, but ity works great with an external hard drive, a flash memory, charger for my phone and also another usb charger for a flash light. I have to tell that when I plug my keyboard and mouse (they are razer gamer stuff) the computer comes crazy, I dont know if its razer or this Hub the problem.

Very pleased with this product. I have bought and use 5 so far. Two of which I use to increase the amount of USB ports on my router (from 1). Now I can network a large amount of external hard drives on my LAN. Skimming over the reviews, I didn't notice the above use case. But for those that wondered if that would work, it does!

This is an excellent product for expanding USB port availability. It allows for attachment of multiple USB powered devices as long as the total port capacity isn't exceeded. Know your ports and power capabilities and this works great.

This is exactly what was needed for me. I bought a new all in one Dell computer ( which I love too ) and all four of the USB ports are in the back of the unit and the mouse uses one of them so this makes accessing a flash | thumb drive, CD Rom drive or whatever easy to access and there are may of them Highly recommended

This is a great USB hub. Real handy when you need more USB 3 ports and it runs on its own power.

This hub is saving me a lot of space on my desk and ports on my laptop. My laptop only has 3 USB ports and with this hub I now have the ability to keep all the primary used devices plugged in and still have available ports on the hub and on the laptop itself. Easy to use, Tight fitting to the USB plugs and sleek design.

This is a great product. It works great unlike the first usb hub i purchased. You have 7 ports for whatever you need. I am, at the time of writing this, using only 3 ports.

I love this product it works like a charm all i would recommend is a longer cord so you can mount easily to a desk and easy access spot

This worked perfectly, I prefer this over the insignia one because when I was using insignia brand hub it blew out all of my devices. I had to replace my razer keyboard my streamdeck my midi keyboard and my razer microphone.

Very nice slim 7 port USB 3.0 hub to work with my peripherals using USB 3.0 . Bought it originally for my TV but it would not work. Have a work laptop using USB 3.0 and said to myself why not. Great tranfer rate with other USB 3.0 devices such as flash drives, portable drive (SSD/ Mechanical) . Comes with power adapter as well.

As with most laptops, there wasn't enough USB ports on mine and with my printer taking up one of only two ports and my keyboard/mouse taking up the other, I had no way to download anything to a flash drive without disconnecting something important. This 3.0 hub solved all my troubles and with the additional power cord attached, it powers up my devices in no time. Well worth the bucks if you have a laptop!

Pretty good hub and has served its purpose. Not sure if its related to the hub or not but I was having an issue where my harddrives would temporarily disconnect and reconnect after a short period of time. Swapping the connected usb port of my computer seemed to have resolved that. Not removing any stars though as its probably my computer that is the issue there.

Works perfect for connecting all my hardware to my laptop. Now I have a more efficient workstation. What a best buy....

I bought this to add additional USB 3.0 jacks for my desktop computer. It works just fine but I discovered a problem with my wireless keyboard. The computer won't boot up properly with the keyboard plugged into the J5. If I plug the wireless keyboard directly into the computer it doesn't work very well because the USB 3 overrides the single. There might be a fix for this that I have not figured out yet, but if you use a wireless keyboard be aware in case you have a similar problem.
