unusable power supply
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.im giving this one star because i just bought this, took it home, and discovered that the power supply is missing the male plugs, rendering the product completely useless. on the outside of the box it says the power supply is optional, which isnt true if you want to plug in an external drive, which is the only reason anyone would purchase this over a cheaper one. i called their customer service line twice, and both times i waited for 15 minutes before being passed off to an answering machine. still havent heard from anyone. i will be returning this product and recommending that everyone stay away from this company, including all you lovely people.

Didn't even last 2 months

Connected devices began to drop in and out. Then it stopped functioning with my mouse and keyboard completely. It provides enough power to light the LEDs on the mouse and keyboard, but not enough for them to actually function. Note: Only 2 of the available 7 ports may be connected before failure occurs. Since this device is unable to support a simple mouse, keyboard and wireless adapter without failing, I highly doubt it will be usable for the Oculus Rift I had intended to use it for.

Worthless USB 3.0 HUB
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The j5create 7 port USB 3.0 HUB failed to recognize/power any single 2TB HDD I have. It also often resets the whole port when I try to plug in a 2TB HDD. The only reason I paid so much for a USB Hub was so that I could easily manage external hard drives but it fails to do that properly. DO NOT purchase this product if you plan on using external hard drives on it. I could not be more upset with this product. Yes I checked to make sure none of the inputs were dead and they all work with other things (such as USB 2.0 phone charger) but the Hub fails miserably at powering and connecting (My PC wont even recognize) my external Hard Drives.

Posted .Depending on the power requirements for the HDD. We recommend only connecting one HDD at a time with a power adapter connected to the 5V port or USB-C power-in port . We cannot guarantee full functions if multiple HDD are connected at once. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Started intermittently failing (devices would start disconnecting / reconnecting randomly). Nothing wrong with any of the devices, and even the charge only port started failing. I attempted to submit a ticket to their "support" which of course ignored everything I said in the ticket and told me to disable power management features in Windows (lulz). A shame, as I can't yet find a USB 3 hub that's reliable, but this certainly isn't it (I paid the premium thinking it would outlast my others, it did not).

Missing the wall prongs.

I am not sure if it is intentional and I have to buy and adapter or if it is just missing, but I basically can't use it. Now I get to research how to get it resolved for a couple of weeks while my stuff still doesn't work. Another lovely product from best buy.

I asked a Best Buy worker if this would be a good replacement and they agreed. brought it home and it worked perfectly for a month than yesterday it didn't work. I could not return it and when I checked if I could go through the company they expected me to pay for the shipping to get the item back to them and then wait an additional 2 weeks after they get the product to get my money. DO NOT BUY THIS

Product is defective and i wont have time to return it before the month mark because of work schedule. Deserve 0 stars for conning honest customers out of their hard earned cash selling a product that shouldnt have been released.

It Doesn't Work !

If the electrical plug is disconnected, it works with one (1) USB plugged in. If you plug in a second USB drive it does not work at all. Very disappointed with the product. Will never buy another j5create product. Must be a CCP product.

Posted .Not working is unacceptable - we are understand and apologize for the inconvenience. The JUH377 is intended for mostly mice, keyboards, flash-drives, web cameras; devices such as external hard drives may or may not work due to the power requirements. Because the JUH377 obtains its power from the computer's USB port, it becomes divided into 7 ports which lessens the power available to accessories such as hard drives. In this case we recommend connecting directly to the computer, or possibly contacting support for potential setting adjustment to see if we can get this working.

Stops working shortly

Finally pulled this hub and everything started magically working. IDK if a cheaper or more expensive solution is needed, but this one cost me thousands $$$ in lost time at my small business!!!

Connected a usb a few weeks later and no go. Doesn't work. I won't ever trust best buy again. Better off buying online at a place where I know I have no hassles returning it.
