This one should come with multiple usb slots and a longer cord.

I use this so I can use two monitors. My laptop can only support either HDMI or VGA. This allows me to use the VGA via USB. It's a little wonky when the computer goes to sleep...so I set it to where it won't go to sleep...and now it works perfect.

It did what it was to do. When using a second monitor the unit got very warm to hot.

Works well! It has replaced two separate devices that came with my Asus laptop.

I haven't used it as a Hub or Network Connect. I needed a 2nd flat screen monitor on my laptop, this one fills the bill just fine

I have a docking station that stopped working with a windows update. I used it primarily to run a secondary (large) monitor from my laptop. I was referred to this from a Best Buy salesman. It was very easy to setup right out of the box. Took 5 minutes, one restart and worked perfectly!

Works great with Mac running Yosemite! Make sure to install the driver before plugging in the adapter.

This is exactly what I needed and works flawlessly for connecting to a projector for training purposes.

My setup includes a Dell M3800 running 8.1 and two different offices. I travel back and forth between the two and I am accustomed to having my dual monitor setup. My main office has a Dell USB 3.0 port replicator that works great but I didn't want to spend that much on another one so I opted for this product. The software that is needed to run this wouldn't install without first removing the software needed for my Dell Dock. After uninstalling the Dell Dock software this device installed and worked perfectly but when I went back to my main office the Dell Dock would not reinstall until I removed the j5 software. If this will be your only replicator or dock you shouldn't have any issues.
