Thank you for your feedback regarding a lens cap; other customers have mentioned this as well. This is something that may be considered in the future. In the meantime my suggestions for maintaining privacy would be to unplug the camera or take advantage of the 360 degree rotation and point the camera at a wall. Thank you for posting your review.

Clear but unstable

Posted .I apologize for the experience you have had with your USB HD Webcam with 360° Rotation. If the webcam is failing to communicate with your computer then the issue could be related to software on computer such as two applications trying to access the webcam at once which can the webcam not to display anything. We also have webcam options that come with a privacy covers if you are concerned about the webcam always showing video. After that, was getting screen tearing issues with the video it was recording. Tried reinstalling drivers and using other USB ports but that did not help. Ended up returning it and upgrading to a 2K webcam. Customer services was great though props to Best Buy Northgate
