Bad reddish color

I have fair skin but from the camera my skin is extremely red, got awkward when having meetings with colleagues. Will buy another web cam to replace it.

Posted .Reddish appearance during video calls is not a great impression of the JVCU100 and we're terribly sorry to hear this happened to you. There is a companion app available on the manufacturer's website to adjust configurations such as brightness, hue, contrast and more, the app is free of charge. If you require assistance on properly getting this adjusted, please feel free to reach out the technical support team mentioned on the packaging and a rep will be ready to help.

Posted .With so many people WFH webcams have been a necessity since you can't meet in person. The JVCU100 will let you send 1080P video so you will be seen clearly.

I have an orange wall behind me that people say is a lovely bright red and I have fair skin that isn't Pepto Bismol pink, except on the j5create here. I've tried it on Mac and PC in other rooms; same insane red color. I use it with a blue acetate "gel" covering the lens to make it less ridiculous, and even then I'm fuchsia. Changing the lighting doesn't work either. I was on a call tonight with 16 people and not one had a screen that looked remotely as red as this one. There's no way to adjust the color. I'm stuck with it because it was the only thing in stock in summer 2020, but hopefully you have other options.

We have had reports from other users regarding issues with the color on the webcam and we have developed some fixes that may work. We have a companion app on the j5create website that can adjust some of the camera settings. Also we have developed a firmware update that may help as well.
