I have used these Jabra Enhance Select 700 series hearing aids for the last two weeks and here are my overall thoughts on them. Out of the box, they are very simple to charge and it is easy to tell that the case and hearing aids are fully charged. You will get all of the information you need to set up your hearing aids in easy to read cards that guide you through the process. It also provides you information on how to get ahold of their people to troubleshoot and also to set up an appointment with one of their specialists to make sure your hearing aids are set up to meet your needs. Having the option to set up an appointment is a very valuable feature when buying this product. I am an Android user and I had some issues connecting the hearing aids to my phone. I did have to reach out to their technical team and we spent about 30 minutes on the line before we could solve the connectivity issue. Very grateful to also have this team ready to help you troubleshoot any technical issues. Once you have the Jabra app set up, it is easy to customize the settings to your needs. I have mild hearing loss and my main problem is hearing well in large crowds. I specifically got these Jabra hearing aids because they have a specific setting "Restaurant" that helps you hone in on people you are having a conversation with. This setting has been a difference maker for me! If you have never worn hearing aids, it will take some time to get used to all the amplified noises, but that usually takes a day or two. Another feature that I really like is that these hearing aids don't bother my ears. They are extremely light weight and don't bother my outer ear or my ear canal. It comes with all of the accessories to ensure that your hearing aids are kept in working order. Just make sure you are diligent about keeping them clean, otherwise they will not work properly. Overall, I am extremely happy with these Jabra Enhance Select 700 hearing aids. They have made a big difference in my experiences with large crowds and being able to hold a conversation without having to ask the person to repeat themselves. If you are looking to get a pair of hearing aids, I highly recommend these.

OVERALL
These seem outstanding. I'm pretty new when it comes to hearing aids and the technical jargon behind them, but these impressed me.
The Jabra Enhance Select 700 is a new, over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aid released by Jabra. It is the company's smallest and smartest rechargeable receiver-in-ear (RIE) hearing aid yet. I originally picked these up for my mom as her hearing has deteriorated gradually over the last few years. Its most notable when speaking to her and she's turned to the side with most difficulty hearing. We either need to get closer or speak loudly to hear us. While she does use OTC aids, they're finicky, unreliable and seems to need to be constantly adjusted which makes more troubling than useful. Plus, the battery has been a joke, even when they were new. It's all the things you wouldn't want from a product like this.
SETUP
This part was surprising as how deep the setup process goes. It holds your hand and instructs you every step on the way. The very first thing the packaging brings up is the Jabra app. You need the serial number to create an account and log in. Once in, it guides you across your hearing aid, the functions, ports, buttons, cleaning/maintenance and warranty information, it's thorough in making sure you know about your new product. Once in, it brings you to a consultation screen to setup an appointment and a hearing test. It asks to use any earbuds or headphones with special instructions if your only option are airpods. It does bring up that this test isn't a replacement for an audiogram at a specialists office, but the feedback from it greatly assists with configuring your hearing aid. However, if you recently had an audiogram done, you're given the option to submit that instead and it can be used to properly configure the hearing aid for you.
HANDS-ON
Once calibrated for your specific needs, you're ready to go. I think it's worth noting that the app offers 4 modes, an all around mode for everyday conversations. An indoor mode where more ambient noise is present and you want to focus on the person speaking next to you. An outdoor mode for open air events. Lastly, a fully custom mode for you to adjust to your particular hearing needs.
All modes can be easily accessed from the app or through 2 second holds of the button on the hearing aid. Just like modes, different variations of button presses trigger different functions from volume levels, answering a call, changing a track, etc. The device features Jabra's next-generation SoundScape system with Auto Focus, which adjusts to the wearer's acoustic environment in real-time to provide clearer speech understanding and comfort in noisy settings. The Jabra Enhance 700 also has a unique adjustable directional mix, which combines omnidirectional and directional processing by frequency. This allows users to localize who is speaking while preserving situational awareness.
With the Jabra Enhance 700, it's apparent she has better hearing as louder conversations aren't a thing anymore.
It has an IP68 rating for moisture and dirt protection and features a protective nano-coating on every component. The device also has a long-lasting battery life, with a single 3-hour charge providing more than 24 hours of use.
The Jabra Enhance 700 comes with 3 years of remote audiology care, including professional fitting and ongoing adjustments from Jabra's team of licensed hearing care professionals.
ISSUES
While a minor inconvenience, every connection attempt to pair phone with hearing aid is a ritual of taking them out of the charging case and triggering a scan on phone several attempts before a successful pairing occurs. The very first attempt to pair them resulted in multiple failed attempts that at some point the app asked that it seemed to be having an issue and if you would like to reach out to support.
CONCLUSION
This has been an overwhelmingly great product that has changed someone's quality of life for the better. The features this offers far outweigh any concerns I may have.
This is worth 5-stars.

Good Mid-Tier OTC Hearing Aids

Background: When I was young & dumb, I played rock drums w/inadequate hearing protection. Since then, I’ve noticed my hearing loss has increased from just the upper frequencies to now incl. some of the upper-mid frequencies. Consequently, I’ve experienced increasing difficulty in understanding conversational speech in noisy environments. I even find myself breaking eye contact w/others to try & read their lips to supplement my poor hearing. To try & compensate for this decline, I’ve spent a lot of money on hearing aids over the last several yrs.
I was eager to try these new GN/Jabra Enhance Select 700 hearing aids, esp. w/their SoundScape speech clarity technology & their Auto Focus feature for clearer speech-in-noise performance which simultaneously reduces background sounds in noisy environments. Given that I’d purchased multiple GN/Jabra corded & wireless headsets for both home & small business use some yrs. ago & 3 previous sets of GN hearing aids in their flagship ReSound line, incl. the Forte 861, Vida 8, & Preza 861 models, I decided to give these a shot, even though I’d never experienced the hoped for speech clarity in noisy environs that I’ve long been desperate to realize. So, I tempered my expectations for this new model, recognizing that these hearing aids are part of GN’s Jabra line of OTC (over-the-counter) consumer-oriented hearing aids vs. their flagship ReSound line. Still, going in, at least I knew I’d be familiar w/GN hardware & software, incl. their mobile app, BT connectivity, controls, filters, form factor, presets, programming, adjustments, support, & Li-ion battery life/rechargeability, etc. But it took more than just familiarity w/GN’s famous Jabra & ReSound brands to prompt me to give these a go. Here’s what tipped the scales.
Jabra Enhance is a very innovative business model which incl. the following bennies:
-mobile app to control my hearing aid settings w/easy adjustments & no office visits,
-an online hearing test, which I happily took using my own pair of high-end ANC (active noise canceling) OTE (over-the-
ear) headphones vs. being shut into an old stale soundproofed booth for another audiogram
-speaking directly w/a licensed hearing specialist via scheduled ½-hr. Zoom orientation telecon vs. an in-person clinic visit,
-having my hearing aids reprogrammed/personalized to fit my unique hearing profile based on my hearing test/audiogram,
-receiving on-the-go iterative adjustments via the cloud as my environment & hearing needs change,
-receiving 3 yrs. of free virtual audiology services incl. convenient appts. w/Jabra’s Audiology Team,
-free customer service, tech support, & troubleshooting from US-based customer support,
-end-user advantages from globally recognized/trusted experts in hearing research, care treatment, & tech,
-advanced BT LE to stream calls, media, & music directly to my hearing aids
-hands-free calling w/TapControl
-futureproofed BT Auracast access
-long 24-hr. battery life
-weather/water-resistant hardware
All those bennies were too impressive to pass up by continuing w/the traditional clinical middleman model.
Difficulty in Pairing: After opening the nice tight box w/all the hardware & basic accessories incl., I fully charged the new hearing aids & downloaded the new GN/Jabra Enhance Select App from the Play Store. Then, I made sure my preexisting GN/ReSound (Jabra’s sister co.) hearing aids & GN Smart 3D app were unpaired & that there were no pairings between my preexisting Jabra Sound+ app & any of my other Jabra headphones or earbuds. Although I followed all the initial pairing steps to the letter, I spent the next 2 hrs. trying to achieve a successful pairing between my flagship Android phone, which I’ve routinely paired w/dozens of other devices w/o issue. While young & old use hearing aids, most wearers are of sr. citizen age. I know w/certainty that none of our parents or grandparents would’ve had the patience or tenacity to endure the 2 hrs. of difficulties we suffered in finally getting these hearing aids paired w/my phone. This, despite repeatedly following all the troubleshooting steps to the letter, incl. continual hearing aid resets, inserting & retrieving the hearing aids from their fully charged recharging case, toggling BT on & off, & even performing phone restarts. It wasn’t until after I’d finally performed a hard reboot of the hearing aids, in exasperation, that we finally achieved a successful pairing. Since then, the pairing of the hearing aids each morning has been quick & remained stable vs. the previous instability & unpairing of either the L or R hearing aid & intermittent audio breakups on phone calls.
Controls/Presets/Filters: I quickly began experimenting w/the 4 presets (‘All-Around’, ‘Restaurant’, ‘Music’, ‘Outdoor’), all of which are like the presets w/my preexisting GN Smart 3D app & GN ReSound Preza 861’s. I’ve also played w/customizing my new Select 700’s to fit changing environs. With my type hearing loss, I gravitate towards ‘Speech Clarity’ w/in the ‘All-Around’ & ‘Restaurant’ modes vs. the ‘Noise Filter’, although I need both. (And now there’s also the ‘Custom Filter’ option.) Drilling down to the graphic equalizer, I must be careful not to increase the much-needed high frequencies to the pt. of over-amping the treble which creates not only a tinny sound, but a distorted, unnatural sound w/wind whistling through a tunnel w/echo. I also appreciate the flexibility of the dual (L & R) volume controls.
Big Picture: the GN/Jabra Enhance Select 700 is a micro RIE (Receiver-in-Ear)/RIC (Receiver-in-Canal)-style hearing aid. It’s easier to understand the form factor of this style hearing aid by contrasting it w/what it’s not. This isn’t a CIC (Completely-in-[Ear]-Canal) device, & it isn’t fully a BTE (Behind-the-Ear) device. Like my previous GN hearing aids, this is a hybrid device w/a thin wire that connects the RIE/RIC to the main body of the hearing aid, which is a small, curved plastic piece that rests discreetly BTE. This much I’ve learned: If the hearing aid’s combined body, dome, & wire aren’t small, light, & tight, as in, ‘fit-&-forget’, or if they don’t noticeably improve my ability to hear important voices that are otherwise missed or garbled, then I won’t consistently wear them. Fortunately, these hearing aids are very comfortable, & I rarely remember that I’m wearing them ‘til time to remove them at bedtime.
Aesthetics: In today’s youth-oriented society & ultra-competitive job mkt., many older workers go to extraordinary lengths to appear hip, fit, & high-tech. Accordingly, most mid-aged to older workers who wear hearing aids tend to be lowkey about them so that their devices often go largely unnoticed. The color of these new BTE hearing aids is listed as ‘sand’, although they appear closer to brushed nickel or pewter with a smooth metallic finish. This color is a clear departure from the classic flesh-tones of many previous GN devices like my Preza 861’s. In contrast, my wife noticed that these new hearing aids stand out prominently when she looks at the back of my head, esp. when overhead light shines on them & reflects off them. This color, w/its shinier surface, simply isn’t as discreet for most wearers.
Conclusion: I’m approaching the Jabra Enhance care team’s hearing improvement process w/an open mind & the intention of being a model patient & willing partner to achieve optimal hearing via these new Select 700 hearing aids. My hope is that Jabra’s team will be just as committed & tenacious about this shared goal as I am. To date, although I’m pleased that I’ve heard more high-pitched birds on my morning walks, more hwy. sounds in the car, & even a seemingly ‘louder’ oven timer from the farthest upstairs bedroom in the house—I’ve much greater hopes for hearing improvement than these. The main difference maker for me would be to plainly hear what nearby conversants are speaking to me in noisy environments like restaurants, company sales mtgs., & family outings. But what I’ve mainly experienced from all the different hearing aids I’ve tried has been either the indiscriminate, wholesale filtering, reduction, or suppression of almost ALL noise, incl. the very voices I’d hoped to hear, OR the overly broad, indiscriminate, wholesale amplification of both the voices I wanted to hear AND all the other surrounding noise that then drowned out those same voices. What I want but haven’t been able to find is hearing aid technology w/amplification AND filtering that can be accurately directed, focused, & selective so that I can clearly hear the people near me while all the unwanted noise is filtered out. After receiving my results from Jabra’s online hearing test which measured my hearing impairment levels by frequency (Hz) & subsequently experimenting w/many different combinations of presets & filters as well as bass, midrange, & treble components via the amplification & dampening sliders, etc., I’m looking forward to next week’s ½-hr. orientation via Zoom call w/my Jabra Enhance licensed audio specialist. At that online appt., we’ll have the opportunity to discuss my specific hearing goals, issues, challenges, difficulties, & successes. If Jabra’s team can help me achieve real, measurable improvement in my personal ‘difference maker’ hot button, as discussed above, that would be a gamechanger.

Easy. Effective. Versatile. Great Support/Battery

To briefly sum up my thoughts, I am very impressed with these in nearly every way. From packaging, build, set-up, ease of use, effectiveness, versatility, battery life, and last, but certainly not least, support.
The entire process of getting them set up is simple not only on its own (there is a lot of step-by-step guidance provided), but with the wonderful support from Jabra. I think that is one of the best aspects of these for me, it is an easy purchase and set-up that allows it to be done at home rather than through appointments off site. If you have problems, or need adjustments, the hearing care specialists help and can get things dialed in to your specific needs. Further, they offer, I am just going to say it, some ridiculous (in these times) service and warranty support. A 100-day trial period, 3 years of remote audiology care with unlimited adjustments, and a three-year warranty that covers loss and accidental damage with some things covered for free and others a $195 deductible. It all just gives me peace of mind.
As for the hearing aids themselves, I immediately noted how small they are. While the behind the ear part is present, it is much smaller, compact, and less noticeable than I was expecting. While it will take me a bit to get accustomed to it, the overall fit, in ear and behind has been excellent for me.
I can’t really speak to how all of the tech in these makes them work as they do, but in every environment, they have improved my hearing. Be it reducing outside noise, clearly hearing voices, or allowing me to focus on one specific conversation in a room filled with them, there has been a marked improvement.
Additionally, there have been improvements in other ways as well, which I was not really expecting. They have smartphone integration and are basically Bluetooth headphones as well. With the app I can not only adjust the hearing aids themselves as well as get remote support, but also take calls hands free, stream music, podcasts or other audio from my phone. Further, even though I am tech savvy in some respects, the app is clean, clear, and I think it will be easy for just about anyone to use.
Given daily use, as well as all these additional features, not having to rely on physical batteries is a major benefit here. Beyond just that though, I’ve found the battery life to be excellent. Additionally, charging speeds are fast, they give ample power with limited charge time, and the case also holds 3 full charges. I don’t anticipate any charge anxiety. Full stop.
Ultimately, I think these are a great pair of hearing aids. They have a nice build, offer a really nice set of features, do not rely on physical batteries, have nailed charging and battery life, have truly great local support, and provide very generous warranty coverage. Lastly, and most importantly, they just work for me. Very well. You get all of that via a simple purchase process and at a price that while premium, is very much at a discount when broadly looking at the market. Given all that you get, I think the value is there.

The Jabra Enhance 700 hearing aids are a follow on to the excellent Enhance 500 line. I have used the Enhance 500 for 1.5 years, with excellent results.
Connection to your phone is simple, although there is a basic design flaw. I use an iPhone, which allows multiple MFi-compatible hearing aids to be connected, although only one can be active at a time. In this sense it is much like other Bluetooth devices. The Enhance series, however, will not connect if you have another hearing aid already paired. (I was able to get around this by removing my prescription hearing aids, installing the Enhance 700, then re-pairing my prescription aids. It was a tedious process that Jabra really should have been designed better by Jabra.)
Once set up, install the Jabra Enhance app and do a basic setup. The Enhance 700 works fine this way, but where it really shines is when you upload your professional audiogram and make an appointment with a Jabra-affiliated audiologist. This allows Jabra to fine-tune the settings to match your specific hearing loss.
Once set up is complete and your hearing aids are adjusted, you’ll find settings available for different situations. The universal setting will work for most environments. Voices are clear and the responsiveness is excellent. Jabra is owned by GN Audio, maker of professional hearing aids, so the high quality is not surprising.
As your hearing changes, you will need new adjustments. To get these, simply contact Jabra support with your new audiogram, and they will provide a new profile in the app. Unlike an in-person professional adjustment that can be done immediately, the process takes a few days, but it works well overall. This support is provided for a period of three years, which is the estimated lifespan of set of hearing aids.
I have a number of hearing aids, both OTC and professional, and the Jabra Enhance is easily the best OTC set I have ever owned.

These are like AI Smart hearing aids

So I am in my 40s and already need hearing aids alongside my disabled, 71 year old father. We both tried these out for several days a piece and a few different things stood out:
- The noise reduction was next level. Often the noise cancelling is spotty and conversations with people are still hit or miss, but with these it is crystal clear.
- It connects with my phone and my bluetooth speaker for handsfree phone calls and music right in my ear.
- They are extra "smart" hearing aids and the most adaptive I've ever used. It figures out what sounds you are more sensitive to and somehow eliminates it over time. They are like, AI hearing aids!
- They also detect loud noises (I live near an air force base and we have loud jet noises all the time) and lessen their impact in my ears. Then again, they adjust for when my daughter is mumbling quaietly when she's talking to me.
- The battery life was excellent --- we've used them several times and only needed to charge them once
My only con would I guess be the extremely high price tag --- but really, you get what you pay for and these are super smart hearing aids with a recharging case.
Considering all of these, plus the Jabra app that helps us customize them even more, these are more than worth the investment.

A little background about me. Back in July, I had a hearing checkup to see how my hearing was fairing a year after my last checkup. The higher-pitch ranges in both ears weren’t too good, but pretty much matched my last evaluation, so it wasn’t a terrible surprise.
I noticed that I regularly asked people to repeat what they said to me, and that I avoided crowded places because I had trouble understanding anything anyone said. I have mild to medium hearing loss in both ears, mostly age related and too much rock and roll over the years, so I knew that I needed to address it. So, when these Jabra Hearing Aids were released, I decided to give them a chance.
Sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference. I have a coffeemaker that I have been using for a few years now. It has a faint chime that indicates when the coffee is ready, one that I can’t hear unless I’m standing directly next to the coffeemaker. I was utterly astonished when that chime came through these Jabra hearing aids loud and clear. Hearing the TV: nope, no longer an issue. Talking to people: nope, no longer an issue. Hearing sirens from emergency vehicles: nope, no longer an issue.
This is not an exaggeration.
The first thing I did upon receiving these hearing aids was to charge the case (with the hearing aids seated inside). The case is large. Very large. While I can fit the case in the front pocket of my pants, it isn’t easily disguised. Compare it to many earbud cases, and it’s huge. That being said, overall, I find its size irrelevant. I wear cargo pants, so I have plenty of locations for storage.
There are 3 LEDs on the back of the case next to the USB-C charging port. Here’s what those lights mean:
• 1 light blinking red: less than 10% remaining
• 1 light, no blinking: 1-33% charged
• 2 lights : 33-63% charged
• 3 lights : 66-100% charged
When the case is fully charged, it can provide 3 full charges to the hearing aids.
You will find 5 LED lights when you open the top of the charging case. They show the charging level of the hearing aid with the Lowest battery charge level. For example:
• 1 light: 0%-20%
• 2 lights: 20%-40%
• 3 lights: 40%-60%
• 4 lights: 60%-80%
• 5 lights: 80%-100%
If you leave your hearing aids in the charger for more than 24 hours without having the charger connected to power, the charger will go into standby mode and will turn off the hearing aids. If the charger is not connected to power and the charger battery runs out of power, it will turn off the hearing aids to save hearing aid power. Should this happen, when you remove the hearing aids from the charger they will not turn on automatically as they usually do. As such, press the button for 5 seconds on the hearing aid to turn on the hearing aids manually.
Before I forget, when you purchase these hearing aids they come with three years’ support for the following:
• 3 years of Audiology Services
• 3 Years of Warranty
• 3 Years of Loss & Damage Protection
After charging the case, I wore them for a full day in different scenarios, i.e. watching TV, having 1-on-1 conversations with people, driving, and more. They worked seamlessly.
As an aside, I ran across a Jabra hearing evaluation program that’s available on the Internet. The evaluation program has you wear earbuds/headphones to isolate you from outside noises and then walks you through a hearing test. To get the results of the test, it asks you for your email, phone number, and other information. It then sends you the results. About 30 minutes later, I received a call from Jabra asking to talk about the results – which in my case were undesirable.
Okay, back to the review.
The accompanying App is critical to the proper running and management of these hearing aids, is available to both Android and iPhone users in their respective App Stores. I have the Android version. The App setup process walks you through the account creation and registration process and then talks you through pairing the hearing aids/case through a pairing process with your phone. It did require me to process the pairing process 3-4 times and then worked successfully when I turned off the Wi-Fi on my phone.
The hearing aids come with 4 preset environments. They are as follows:
• All-Around; 1 beep (Default)
• Restaurant: 2 beeps
• Music: 3 beeps
• Outdoor: 4 beeps
You can change these environments using the Jabra App. Or press the button on either hearing aid for 2-3 seconds. The beeps you hear will dictate which environment the hearing aids are set to.
To adjust the volume, use the following rules:
• Volume Up: press the button on the right hearing aid for less than 1 second
• Volume Down: press the button on the left hearing aid for less than 1 second
Activating Flight Mode:
• Hold one of the buttons on for 9 seconds to turn Flight Mode on
• To turn off Flight Mode, turn the hearing aids off and then on.
These Jabra hearing aids are truly full featured offering functionality beyond what I discussed here. The bottom line for me, however, is that they work exceptionally well and I am enormously happy with them. And that translates to a 5-star review.

Review for
Jabra Enhance Select 700, Sparkling Silver
If you have a mild to moderate hearing loss, these are the best solution I’ve found. They are well-designed, light, and essentially invisible. The part that goes behind your ear is so small, I can hardly tell that I’m wearing them. Important note: remember to take them out before you shower; they’re that easy to forget about!
The Jabra 700s come with new filters for the two microphones on each aide, which I’m hoping helps with the occasional problems I’ve had with my previous pair, where people have trouble understanding me on the phone. I think it’s brilliant of Jabra to recognize that something you wear everyday on your head would eventually collect some amount of dirt or dust (or pollen, or hair product, etc.) and need to be cleaned. By adding these changeable filters, it’s easy to maintain sparkling clear audio reception from the microphones.
The Jabra 700s come with multiple tips in different sizes as well as “open” or “closed” construction. Previously, I used the closed tips because I thought they were more comfortable, but these came with the open ones installed and I find I really like them. Again, it could be that Jabra tweaked the design, or that my preferences have changed, but either way, they are great to wear all day.
Finally, I can’t say enough good things about the customer service/professional audiology staff at Jabra! They can adjust my aides remotely, as needed, and always are knowledgeable and polite when I call them.

This is my third set of Jabra OTC hearing aids. In the past I have used the Enhance Select 50R and the Enhance Select 500 hearing aids. The Jabra Enhance Select 700 appears to be an upgrade of the Jabra Enhance 500 that I currently use. The Jabra Enhance Select 700 comes with more additional add-ons than the Enhance Select 500 did. You get 10 sport locks, 1 ear canal measurement tool, 3 cases of Ear wax filters, 1 receiver tool, 1 package of small medium and large closed dome and open dome earpieces with 1 package of tulip dome earpieces. Also wall charger and cable, Charging case and 2 hearing aids. A comprehensive user manual. You can also download the application and set up an appointment with a remote customer service agent to assist with the set up. Before you attempt to set up the device you should charge it for three hours even if the indicator lights show it is fully charged. While it is charging, I would suggest you look over all the enclosed literature. This hearing aid is just as comfortable and useful as the Enhance Select 500 is. While there is no difference in appearance between the Enhance Select 500 and the Enhance Select 700, it's what on the inside that makes this upgraded version a better choice.

The Jabra Enhance Select 700 is a clear improvement over previous series.
I love the video guides. It was so easy to set up and answers most questions I would have. It even gave me information I hadn’t received from multiple in-person audiology visits.
I especially loved that it clearly describes what each of the sound settings do. For example it said that restaurant mode directs the speech in front of you and music mode is for listening to music live (not for the music on the phone, which I had been confused about in the past).
I absolutely love the 100 day return policy if you purchase from Jabra. The last hearing aids I purchased (from a different brand and company) only had a 30 day return policy and some of the problems I had with them were never fixed. I ended up stuck with them instead of being able to exchange for ones that fit my hearing better. So, I am very impressed with this 100 day return policy.
Note: An important caveat for the rest of my review is that I did not get a chance to try the video audiologist appointment before writing this.
It was nice that the hearing aids very quickly set you up for speech clarity options. I did find the speech clarity setting to be a little tinny and seemed to raise the volume and lower the quality a bit (like a slight echo or feedback). I noticed that, even in a quiet room, if I had the speech clarity modes on, I would hear a bit of a “hot mic” background sound. I wish there was an explanation in the videos about which domes do what, but I think the audiologist explains that.
I really liked that there was an audio sample included so you could test the presets with an actual audio example. I also thought the ability to answer calls and hang up by simply tapping the hearing aid was really cool! I haven’t had that feature before and it felt very high tech. One thing I wasn’t sure about was how to ignore a call. It told me how to answer calls and how to hang up and I tested that, but I did not see instructions on how to ignore a call.
I believe adding microphone filters along with the wax filters is a new addition and I appreciate that. It is also very handy the way they built a store section into the app with all the main supplies you might need to get refilled in one easy-to-find place. The rechargeable case is a favorite feature of mine. They made this one very snug for how the aids fit inside. On the one hand, this helps you to be accurate in getting them in the right place for a correct charge. But it also feels like they almost get too snug inside. Not sure if I liked that part or not, time will tell.
Overall, I am very impressed, my only real concern would be to get the feedback adjusted on the speech clarity settings. This should be accomplished during the video audiologist appointment, which I have not had yet.

The Jabra enhanced 700 hearing aids from Best Buy are the best ones I have ever bought. Best Buy had the best price for them, and I always trust Best Buys products and services. Thanks for your help.

Let me open by saying I have been quite pleased with all other Jabra products (and I have had several). Sadly, these are the exceptions that prove the rule.
Dad moved in with us about 5 years ago after Mom died. We noticed right away that he seemed to have the TV up loud, and would try to follow conversations without really "following", if that makes sense... We talked him into trying hearing aids, and he really tuned in, and started being a part of the conversation, and not just a "bystander".
Fast-forward a handful of years, and the other hearing aids, while still functional, did not serve him as he wanted. He had to replace the old-school hearing-aid batteries every few days, and he really wanted to be able to stream Bluetooth audio. When this offer came through, it fit every bill... He would be able to have the recharge case, and he could stream Bluetooth, in addition to the other advanced technology on-board these hearing aids.
And that is where the "good" ended for these Jabra Enhance Select 700...
The last pair he had, he was able to get them set up and tuned with minor support from the manufacturer. This pair, not at all his experience.
We found out we had to have headphones to take the hearing test, unless he went to an audiologist for a hearing test. Not too happy about those requirements.
The earliest appointment with the Orientation team is 2+ weeks out. The last pair (as previously mentioned), we had tuned and tested in less than 30 minutes from open box to fully in use. Very disappointing.
Additionally, the receiver wires that came with the hearing aids are too small, which is not the problem. The problem is that no other size wires are included... We have to order them from Jabra and wait for them to arrive so he can tune, and start using the hearing aids.
At the end of the day, I am sure there will be a noticeable upgrade once we get them properly tuned. But this setup and the required delays are beyond disappointing. So far, these are as useless as a submarine door-gunner.

Hello Posted1 - Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We understand how important it is to have a smooth setup experience. We recommend using headphones for the at-home hearing test so results are as accurate as possible. You can always submit a recent audiogram instead if you prefer. Before orientation, users can also request a fine-tuning directly in the app to get their device tuned quicker. For orientation, our team works to connect with every customer as quickly as possible, though wait times may vary during high-demand periods. We realize this process involves a few steps, but they're designed to ensure the devices are set up correctly and tuned to individual hearing needs. We appreciate the patience and trust placed in us, and our team is here to provide support at (800) 854-2772 or via email at [email protected].
