Great, but sound level adjustments are lacking
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the system overall, with subwoofer included. I think it is worth it on sale. For me, the Android TV experience worked as expected. I didn't get any major crashes or significant lag. Almost equaled the experience you get from a standard Android phone in ease of use. The sound is actually pretty clear even though it lacks a center channel. The subwoofer booms. However, I would have liked the ability to adjust the sound levels more than the 4 presets and bass. I am trying to adjust it so I can hear dialogue more clearly and loudly. I don't really notice anything significant with the voice preset. Right now I have to turn up and down the volume often during scenes in shows and movies.

It's definitely not great, but not too bad either
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, it's not great, but once you get it set up, it's not that bad either. The sound is decent, slightly above average I guess, but not spectacular. As for the Google assistant stuff, there is some lag with voice commands, at least two or three seconds, sometimes even ten or fifteen, but if you're patient, it does work most of the time, I'd say about 70%, but that's just as best as I can estimate from my personal experience. I haven't had a problem with Chromecast, it works pretty well with only some minor issues about controlling the content, same thing goes for Bluetooth after making the first connection. I haven't used the Google home stuff yet. I suppose you could probably get something better if you buy separate components, a soundbar, Google home, and Chromecasting device(I'm not sure what Google/Android TV is, but there are some built-in apps to watch TV and you can download some from the Google "store" if you want more), but with the sale Best Buy had on this JBL Link bar, it would be hard to do for the same price. If you think you're going to get amazing sound quality with Chromecast and Google assistant seamlessly integrated into the soundbar, you'll probably be disappointed, it does work, but it's far from seamless, there are definitely glitches for JBL to iron out, hopefully with software updates, or on the next iteration of the product. Does it do anything great, no, not really, but it is passable, and I would guess good enough for most people. I'll just finish by saying that for the price I paid, it works well enough for what I bought it to do, enhance my TV's sound and conveniently stream music and videos.

Great little soundbar
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome little sound bar that plays music very nicely. It has decent highs and mid though the lows are kinda lacking. Luckily ours was paired with a beefy 10" sub that Best Buy included with the price. The only issue I have with this is it disconnects randomly from my TV even though it is connect through hdmi arc and the sound will randomly cutout for a second. It also has a hard time staying connected on my Samsung s9+ while I play music through bluetooth but doesn't have this issue with my wife's iphone so it could be a phone problem. Overall a solid buy and I much prefer this over the vizio soundbar my parents got from Costco.

Good sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this during a deal that included the subwoofer. Wireless connection to the subwoofer was the most appealing aspect. The soundbar works great. The sound is a much needed upgrade compared to the standard tv sound. The built in google tv is nice, but I prefer the native fire tv which is built into my tv. The hdmi arc sometimes glitches and I have to do some troubleshooting to get the sound to come through the soundbar instead of the tv, but it doesn’t really take too much time to do that. To get around that, I could just wire all my devices the sound bar directly, but again o prefer the fire tv instead of the google tv. Anyways, Would buy again.

Wish it were a tad louder. It’s almost all bass
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m love it! But it’s essentially bass driven. Aside from that, not as loud of a sound. Interface could be improved. Google hasn’t quite figured it out. A bit glitchy and kind of a ‘trying-too-hard-to-be-cute’ interface that isn’t fully functional. Wish it had all the apps. It doesn’t. Doesn’t have prime. But I was able to hook my amazon fire stick up to it, so I just switch sources when I want that interface or to use those apps. Is it easy to put together? No. I’m great at this stuff but this is just.. no it’s hard. Gotta keep at it. Then like.. poof, it works. Not because of instructions at all. Might need to pray about it.

Great value almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is amazing. The set up was simple and easy. My only drawback is it is not HDMI 2.2. I had to connect directly to the TV and use an optical so not a horrible issue.

It's pretty good..needs some improvements
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on sale with the subwoofer for only 200 so I had to pull the trigger... Things I've noticed. Setup is pretty straight forward and simple no issues there Volume - so the sound bar doesn't get at loud as my prior Soundbar (Vizio 5.1 36in) which I find pretty strange....I have to increase the volume to about 75% to hear the voices in shows good enough...and with music the bass is great but once again the soundbar volume is low... Software side.. it takes some getting used to...1 thing I don't like is when playing YouTube there's gray bars around the screen if the video isn't fullscreen which sucks....

Decent sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is good if you connect it with the subwoofer. I had problems with it staying connected to the TV without HDMI Arc so I had to get something else.

Does what I needed it for, comes with quirks.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had it freeze up on my several times. Often dropping signal. Strange flickering when powering off that I've had to unplug the device to get functioning properly again. Sound is good, has the inputs I needed and plenty of them. This is more than a soundbar it's really an Android TV bar with decent sound. Preinstalled apps can be annoying. No Amazon Prime Video. Which is available on my other Android TV's, shoves Netflix down your throat and I don't use Netflix.

Great Sound Bar!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased a few sound bars with no luck being happy with the performance of them. When I saw this one on sale I took the chance and hope this will be the one. The speaker being thin and not much weight to it at all, surprised me with a great sound! It is freaking awesome! Of course this sound bar comes with a FREE 10 inch woofer which really makes the sound bar much much more enjoyable to listen to. I was lucky enough to get it on sale for $199 and that included the woofer. I am very happy with it!

Good sounds quality, stylish, selection of ports
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sounds bar is feature rich with Android TV, and comes with a wide selection of input/output ports. The sounds quality is great, the remote is easy to work with and it can pair wirelessly with a subwoofer. The price on a new one (if you can find one) may be a bit too high, I purchased one that was open box for half the price and it was totally worth it.

So happy I decided to buy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wanted nice soundbar for living room, not top dollar, theater w big tv in family room. Bought a LG 3.1 320 watt originally, popped on high end, bass left alot to be desired, so been looking for something decent, not quite top end but clear with deep bass for youtube videos and bluetooth from phone and occasional movies. Man, got the sale for 199 w free sub, this is exactly what I wanted. That 10in sub is Awesome! Set up was quick using HDMI out to tv for set up. It linked through my phone getting all wifi and youtube and Netflix sign in automatically. Updated quick. I have smart tv so those features were far from needed. After set up, swapped to fiber optic line and used like just a normal sound bar. Living room is approx 14 x 22, it is the deal for 200 I was happy to pay, wouldn't pay full price and I dunno about buying for the smart features, but not what I wanted. Watched go on sale and off for couple months debating to buy or not after questionable reviews. So happy I pulled the trigger when went on sale again. Dont expect tons of audio adjustments, but solid clear crisp sound, great bass with the sub, not top of the line but well worth the sales they been running

Amazing sound!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite the bad reviews, I found it very easy to install to my TV and navigate through. I was beyond excited that it came with AndroidTV because my TV wasn’t a full smart TV so having this option was amazing! The free subwoofer is great — it adds really nice bass. I would 100% recommend and not to mention the affordable price!

Great sound!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping less for the price that i paid but honestly i'm surprised on how good this soundbar is, the only downside is the chromecast, you want to use ethernet connection and not wifi, also avoid using TPLink routers with this one, besides that, GREAT sound, serious, and all the add-in options from chromecast are amazing!!

Good Deal
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ran across this sound bar on sale and offered a free 8 inch wireless subwoofer. I love this sound bar it has Android TV built in so no need for a fire stick or android box. The sound bar sound good by itself once I connected the subwoofer wow great bass. I liked it so much I brought another one.

Works as it should!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setting it up was really easy, they walk you through all of the steps and it takes around 10-15 minutes if you’re taking your time. Sound quality is good! Not the best I’ve heard, but it’s an upgrade from the standard TV speakers for sure. Has better bass than I was expecting and the highs are crisp. If you can grab it during a sale, it’s an awesome purchase, I couldn’t justify spending $400 on it, though.

Good, Neutral Sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for a great open box deal recently, which also included the 10-inch JBL subwoofer for free. The good: the bar is very neutral sounding, with good midrange, nice treble, and excellent clarity for voices. Bass without the subwoofer is a bit lacking but not bad, it improves markedly with the sub. I disagree with one reviewer that said the sub overwhelms it, you need to adjust the sub level carefully. Also, just because subs are wireless, doesn’t mean they can go anywhere and the sound will be the same. Placement matters, and I find that placing it to the left or right of the bar makes it blend well. The bass is great for TV sound and adds nice low end punch to music. This is a nice soundbar for music as it is neutral; not overemphasizing any frequency. The sub is quite good, with tight bass when adjusted correctly, and does not sound boomy. The Not So Good: As others have said, the bar will turn itself off sometimes. It has not happened with TV audio via HDMI Arc for us. It has happened with Bluetooth. It’s not enough to be an overwhelming bother, it’s easy to reconnect and keep playing. If you want a really loud soundbar, you might want to look elsewhere. However, it’s more than enough for small to midsize rooms. Also, some settings (like subwoofer level) require a dive into the menu via the screen, which is annoying. Overall, for the price paid, a really good buy. We do not use the Android TV or Google Cast features as they are not needed for us.

Solid for price (came with 10in sub on sale $240)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this JBL that came with sub as a package on sale for $240 after first trying the Yamaha YAS109. Tried this for 10 minutes and new id made the right choice. While it doesn’t have the same range of sound options it has what it needs to sound really good in a variety of applications; with very little fuss.
