Bought this for my mom. She is in her 70's the bigger buttons are great. She doesn't use texting but it's there if she did. Hearing people on the phone is clearer, she now doesn't scream at you cause she thinks you can't hear her. Simple to use.

Bought this for the grandparents who are technophobes. I say this lovingly. This was the third cell phone I have purchased for them over the years and the very first one which they ever used to make calls. I really hesitated to get this phone because it felt like a cop-out compared to to my fancy smartphone. End result: Great choice! the phone was easy for them to use and the live support has spared me endless hours of providing "customer support." Totally worth it.

I bought this phone for my 78-yr old Mom to use when she's outside away from her landline. Her eyesight is poor and she is super intimidated by gadgets and technology. She figured out how to call people on the Jitterbug since I programmed in all her contacts. The display is big and clear. All she has to do is press the "yes" button to call the name and number she recognizes. She hasn't misplaced the phone yet, so that means that she likes it! The phone holds its charge for a long time so if she forgets to charge it for a week or more it, it's still reliable!

Perfect for Seniors Not Familiar with Smartphones

I purchased the Jitterbug cellphone for my parents, 83 and 77 years old, whose 10 year old flip phone stopped working. I set it up online, entered their phone book entries and showed them how simple it is to use. I have the service billed me each month instead of them worrying about minutes and so on. The phone is good for people when have trouble hearing. The visibility of the screen and keys are easier to see for them. The functionality of the Jitterbug, viewing stored phone numbers on the screen, seeing and pressing the larger numbers, and higher volume for hearing make this the perfect phone for seniors not familiar with smartphones.

I got this phone for my Dad and he loves it. The flip phone is very easy to use with large numbers. Ever since he got it he can't put it down. It's a perfect phone for Seniors who don't need all the "extra" that comes with smart phones.

I love this phone, because it is easy to use and the numbers are big. I only use my phone as a "phone" when I'm out and about. It is not used for chatting, games or Internet. I purchased from Best Buy, because I damaged my original Jitterbug phone under my car seat.

Bought this for my 80 year old Mother-in-Law. Smart phones and email are beyond her ability. She is in assisted living group home. She is in great shape but her learning curve has flat-lined. The Jitterbug allows her to make calls from the comfort of her room to family in a way she that is used to doing. Simple and cost effective.

Had never carried a cell before due to hearing loss and tinny sound and background noise. This produce was made specifically for the hearing impaired and have found it to be first phone I could use with understanding of what was said. Features large numbers and large script are very convenient, just wish the alphabet for texting was likewise. Enthused with my purchase.

We bought this phone for my 91 year old Mother-in-law. She is living in assissited living but is able to walk around the grounds by herself. It gives us great peace of mind that if she has an issue she can call for help. The phone is very user friendly, has large letters and numbers. Perfect phone for the edlerly.

Bought this Jitterbug for my elderly aunt. The set-up was not as effortless as stated. Had to retry a couple times to get it activated. Customer care call line was courteous and willing to help, but didn't have the knowledge or power to get anywhere (solve issues). While it comes with message and camera capabilities, it is so clumsy to use, an older person would have a tough time using it to it's fullest. Having said all that - it should be fine for straight calling and receiving (which is all she wanted anyway).

I got this for my older mom who was having trouble seeing and working other phones. She can see the numbers very well and the internet based phone book makes it easy for me to add numbers to her directory for her without having the phone in my hands. The phone is also very basic to operate which works well for her.

The cellphone worked great once I was able to activate it. Disappointed that Best Buy carries no accessories for the phone. The GreatCall website indicated activation online should take only about 30 minutes. After over an hour of waiting for the phone to finish activating, I contacted GreatCall Customer Service, When I said I purchased the phone at Best Buy, the lady said they were having problems activating phones purchased from Best Buy. It could take up to 3 hours. GreatCall did not know why there were problems with Best Buy purchased phones, but they were still working on fixing the problem. Finally, after 3 and a half hours, the phone finally did activate properly. No problems with the phone itself since activation.
