When selecting headphones, noise cancellation is a feature that you don’t want to go without these days, and many premium headphone offerings include this feature at a premium price. Jlab showed up big time with the Jlab GoPop ANC earbuds to disrupt that practice! The Jlab GoPop ANC headphones come in minimal packaging and a minimalist package. The packaging is a small cardboard box about the size of a small cell phone, and inside is the headphones and a set of 3 tips in a cardboard sleeve – that’s it. The earbuds come in a charging case that has an integrated USB-C cable that is about 2 inches long and tucks away smartly in the bottom of the case. The case on this pair is a translucent purple and the whole package is TINY – it will easily fit in the smallest of pockets. The earbuds themselves are also small, and the medium-sized tips that came with the earbuds from the factory fit my ears perfectly, so I didn’t need to swap. Aside from the purple color, you wouldn’t notice most people wearing these as they are so small in your ear. Sound quality is good, especially for such a small package. The noise cancellation is adequate, but I'm not sure if it would block out all the noise from being on a plane. However, if you want to work in silence, it will eliminate most distractions like a mechanical keyboard, conversations in the next room, and more. The Jlab App offers a ton of customization options—you can adjust the noise cancellation level, equalizer settings, touch controls on the earbuds, switch between movie and music modes, and even set the safe hearing volume limiter. Like most devices today, you can also update the firmware through the app. Battery life is a bit disappointing. I will use one of these earbuds to listen to podcasts while I fall asleep. Even at the lowest volume, they die before I wake up. The time from a low battery warning to the earbuds shutting off seems to be about 15 minutes, if that. Also, sometimes after adjusting settings in the app, the sound in one earbud will cut out for a bit – that’s a bit wonky, but I don’t change settings very often. Overall, these are a solid entry in the price range for noise-cancelling earbuds.

    Big Features, Tiny Price Tag

How JLab manages to pack in so many features—some of which aren’t even found on more expensive earbuds—is anyone’s guess. Honestly, JLab could have priced these at double their current retail and they would still feel like a bargain. At this price point, it feels more like a steal. Highlights: Decent ANC performance IP55 sweat and splash resistance for workouts or sudden downpours Up to 7+ hours of playback per earbud, with a total of 24 hours from the charging case Built-in USB-C charging cable Awareness Mode Adjustable ANC levels, with the option to turn it off Volume limit setting to protect kids’ hearing They sound great, with a satisfying amount of bass. For the price, the sound quality is excellent—better than many budget earbuds I’ve tried. Compared to my Bose QC Ultra earbuds, the treble and vocal clarity aren’t quite on the same level, which is expected given the Bose cost nearly six times as much. Still, for what you’re paying, the JLab Go Pop ANC deliver very impressive audio quality. Build quality is solid. My only concern is the built-in USB-C charging cable located at the bottom of the case. If the cable fails, there’s no backup USB-C port or wireless charging option. The case is very portable, and if it weren’t for the clear purple color, you might mistake them for AirPods Pro. Stylistically, they’re eye-catching. The translucent purple brings back nostalgic memories of old-school Game Boys and Nintendo consoles. Even the earbuds themselves are clear. The only drawback is the brightness of the LEDs—especially at night. When you place the earbuds in the case, they flash for a few seconds, which can be distracting in a dark room. I’ve taken to draping a microfiber cloth over them at night to block the light. Mic quality is also solid, with no complaints from callers on the other end. Overall, the JLab Go Pop ANC are an excellent pair of budget earbuds to consider. They sound great, offer decent ANC, and look amazing. How JLab has managed to deliver a product this competitive at this price point is beyond me—but I tip my hat to them. I’d even go as far as to call them the best budget earbuds currently available.

These earbuds were packaged very well and I like the fact it came with different ends you can change out for the size of the rubber end for the ear buds themselves but the ends are very hard to change out without damaging them, also the fit is not very accommodating for someone with smaller ears and the devices have a tendence to be hard to keep in your ears and the comfort of these devices were very uncomfortable while wearing. I did not like the fact that the controls for the volume and on and off are on the ends of the devices-made it difficult when trying to adjust the devices in your ears without effecting the volume and turning the devices off. I did like the sound quality when listening to music or making a phone call using these devices, I also like the fact that the charging cord is attached to the case. The instructions included were very helpful and very easy to understand, I also like the fact that you can down load the JLab app on your cell phone and are able to customize the ear buds for the sound and the touch controls for controlling the earbuds, also the app has where you are able to shop for other devices that this company offers the app also has ambient sounds that you can play thru the earbuds. I do also like that the earbuds have an option you can active noise canceling on these devices, the earbuds stay charged for over 24 hours of playing time before you need to recharge them. Getting these paired with my phone was very fast and easy. The package says that these devices are sweat and splash proof but did not have time to test that out. While I ran with them one fell out. I put it back in but I do not feel confident they will stay in my ear when running.

These are great to travel with. They do not break the bank so if lost not the worst. I wished they had them in orange though lol. For the price, I feel they are a great set of earbuds to have. The active noise canceling is not the best, and can still hear surrounding sounds, but it does help and when you have music playing it does a good decent job. The quality of the sound, again not the best like your high-end earbuds sound, but for the price and how tiny and small these are, they do an amazing job. With the app you can also tune it even better with 3 presets, as well as you can customize it yourself. I have a love/hate for the case. I do like that they have a built-in charging cord. This way if you are out and about and need to charge them, you just need to find a USB-C port. But I also would have like to have a USB-C port on the case so I could plug in a USB-C cable into it. The built-in cord is like an inch or 2. very short. I have a few cords in a spot laid out so I can plug devices in as needed. I can't do that with these. I have to unplug something so I can plug these in. If I had to choose, I rather have a port on the case over the built-in cord, or a way to have both. This is my only main complaint with these. That said, I have used them for a week and have not had to charge them. I use them on my bus ride from work and at my lunch time. about 2 hours a day. They feel comfortable to use as well. I do not work out and I do not walk with them in. I have to adjust them now and then so I feel they would fall out for me if I wore them walking. If you ride a bus and looking for a cheap but decent pair of earbuds, then I recommend these.

JLAB GO Pop ANC Transparent Purple Earbuds

Okay, so I got my JLAB GO Pop ANC Translucent Purple earbuds about a week ago and have been testing them out. Inside the box, you’ll find the earbuds themselves and some extra ear tips. The medium-sized ear tips are already installed, which is convenient. One thing I really liked about these earbuds is that there’s a pre-installed USB-C cable at the bottom of the case. This means you’ll always have a cable with you when you need to charge your earbuds. To get started, simply turn on the Bluetooth settings on your phone or other device and pair the earbuds with it. Once connected, you’re good to go. In my tests, the call quality was a bit subpar compared to other earbuds or headsets. Callers sometimes said they could barely hear me or that the volume was a bit low. However, when I tested them with music, they sounded perfectly fine and clear. The volume could use a bit of a boost, and the bass could use some improvement. But considering the price of these earbuds, you can’t really expect too much. In my opinion, these earbuds will be great as a backup pair when you’re in a pinch or just want something to use while your main set charges up. The translucent colors will appeal greatly to a younger crowd. Overall, these earbuds are not a bad set. They could use a few tweaks, but I would recommend them as a decent spare set or for younger kids or teens who are just starting out with earbuds.

If you are in the market for an affordable set of earbuds, definitely consider the JLab GO Pods. There are many color options to choose from, so you can definitely taylor to your wordrobe needs. for the price, you get pretty good audio quality and battery life. Like many earbud style headphones on the market, you get the charging case, which extends your music listening time. The main reason I got the JLab GO Pods is because my wife's favorite color is purple. So, these were perfect for her. She mainly uses them for workouts. As of this review, I have not seen one of the pods pop out of her ear during a workout. She says they are comfortable in her ears and the battery has been lasted for a few workout before needing charge. When I first tried these JLab GO Pods, they were also comfortable around my earys. The sound quality was good enough for the price. I think the JLab GO Pods ANC - would be great for a school aged child. So, I would recommend these for your son or daghter. The price is right.

I suppose you get what you pay for. There is a lot to like about these earbuds. The color is a lot of fun, the charging case is nice and compact (though with a really tiny USB C cord), the buds are comfortable, and the controls are easily accessible and reasonably straightforward (keep your quick start guide around for reference). Battery life seems to be pretty decent, too. So far, so good But the sound these produce is, well... not that great. You can tweak the equalizer in the free downloadable app (easy to use - another positive) to your heart's content, but you will not get great sound out of these. Everything is in a sort of hissing high-end explosion. Calls have similar difficulty. You can hear everything distinctly, but the audio has been entirely compressed into one end of the spectrum. Midrange and bass just seem to produce tinny distortion in the background. The sound is at least clear and distinct, but on par with what you would get from a set of plug-in earphones from a discount retailer. If you want or need great, customizable sound (if you really like listening to your music, for example), these buds are not for you. Which is a shame, because, as the first paragraph states, everything else is actually pretty well done. These would be great for either someone who needs something cheap and practical for quick calls or someone who isn't an audiophile. I don't imagine, despite the color, that these would work well for a young person, because they've probably experienced something better already. They may even ask you if the buds are broken! If you can accept the compromises with sound quality, then these are actually pretty great for the price. But if you're getting earbuds to use for music,n spend the extra cash and get something else.

So these are very nice earbuds, and they look really cool. Music on them is pretty good too...so let's talk about them. Hardware: These feel good in the case, and the case itself it very sturdy and strong. It has a matte feel, so it will not slip very easy. The case has a very strong magnet, and the lid stays closed or open if you need it. The earbuds themselves, and made well. They fit good in my ears, and don't feel like they will fall out under heavy load or activities. Sound Quality: They sound decent, but not as good as some others I've used in this price range to be honest. There is not very much bass, and they sometimes sound hollow. Phone calls: Here is where I don't like them. My callers have said that it sounds like I'm under water, which is not what you want to hear when you have a long call to take and you need both hands free for typing. These are better for music, not calls in my experience. Make sure you put on the right earbud tip that fits your ears. ANC: It's decent, but not the strongest I'm felt on earbuds in this range. Price: totally worth the price if you want a nice set of buds to listen to music on, and MAYBE a few video chats.

I use ear pods or phones basically everyday for work, gym, rec, whatever, to zone out. Since that is my life, I have several pairs in rotation for different uses and environments. I really like these GO Pods with the Active Noise Cancelling, especially for the gym, as they block out all the ambient noise, the weights clanking, gym music and people talking, and allow me to get in a the zone/head space I want to be in to get my work in! These JLabs have a lot of customization tools and setting that your basic headphones may not have. The burn in tool is something I have never seen. Kind of reminds me of an extended, active calibration setting in which it runs through all the sounds and adjustments automatically to get them into optimal performance. Getting used to the buttom controls and functions always takes a bit of time and repetitve use, but once you figure out the ones you will use that are important to you, its not bad and quite user friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend these, even if just for the ambient sounds they have programmed in, for quiet time, trying to chill or sleer, or minding my own business on public transportation. Another great pick up for my ear pod rotation! And they are my favorite color PURPLE!!

the JLab Go Pop ANC wireless earbuds are an excellent choice for anyone looking for active noise cancelling earbuds that aren't going to break the bank. Plus the transparent purple looks very cool! I was pleasantly surprised by these earbuds and how well the noise cancellation actually works in everyday environments. I work inside a data center and these couldn't quite keep up with the outrageous noise levels inside of their, but honestly neither can most noise cancelling earbuds or headphones unless they're specifically made for those types of environments so I'm definitely not knocking these. It is good to know that there are limits to how effective the noise cancellation is on these earbuds so if you are intending to use these in very loud environments I would probably look for better options. But again, for almost all other environments that you are likely to be wanting noise cancellation for these are more than adequate. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of these and the noise cancellation is pretty great for most activities. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an excellent pair of active noise cancelling earbuds.
