Refined, Subtle and Stylish
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to replace my old Bose Acoustimass with a fuller sound. After some research, I narrowed it down to the ELAC Unifis and the KEF Q series. I bought a set of each to test them for a week and would recommend both, but went with the KEFs. The ELACs had a beefier midrange and sound great with classical or live music, but I thought the sealed design of the KEFs produced a more precise treble that sounded better with electronic, rap and rock. The KEFs are refined and subtle - I turn off sound processing on my receiver and just listen to "Direct" because the transparency is fantastic. And movies sound amazing - I have a subwoofer, but these things can growl through explosions while the dialogue is crisp. Highly recommended.

Much Better Than I Had Hoped
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided that I wanted to upgrade my five front speakers from the 10-12 year old Cantons I was using. I also decided that I wanted a "matched set" with similar drivers for my five front speakers in the hope of getting a larger soundstage and better imaging. I decided to buy a pair of KEF Q750's, a pair of Q50a Atmos Toppers and a Q650c center channel speaker. Driven by my Marantz 7010 receiver and 7055 power amp I could not be happier with the results. Everything is crystal clear. The soundstage fills the entire front wall of my 14ft x 12ft room. Even my "I could care a less" girlfriend says she can here big differences. I cannot recommend these speakers highly enough. I think one would need to spend substantially more money to beat them.

KEF Q750’s are amazing speakers

I’m super happy with how they sound. At this price, I can imagine anything sounding any better. The mid range and voices are amazing. The bass is nice and tight but if you like the really deep stuff, you’ll want a sub. For my taste, they are perfect.
