    I came in for my scheduled appointment for my new touch screen Kenwood stereo and an alarm system for my 2014 KIA Optima LX. The appointment was set at 12 noon, and they didn't finish until 6:30pm. No biggie, I expected as much... But, the installers threw away the instructions for both items, didn't integrate the equipment with my car's steering wheel controls, nor did they connect the alarm properly. As I am driving down the street, the alarm is going off. The lights that are supposed to flash indicating which function is happening on the alarm isn't working. So, I don't know if the alarm is set or not... I can rock my car and the alarm doesn't make a sound at all... I had this issue for five days since the install. I am off tomorrow, they are going to fix this...

    DO NOT BUY this radio or buy from best buy. It worked well for 22 months then died. I tried to call best buy and they wouldnt do anything to help. Im very disappointed in best buy as 22 months is unacceptable for the lifespan of a car audio

    Worked great when it was working just randomly stopped one day then it worked again but it would have static during both CarPlay and Bluetooth but not on phone calls.

    The radio itself is good. But I would assume it’s the cord that allows you to have Apple CarPlay. It’s terrible. It cuts out & turns the radio off all the time. It maybe works for 15 mins and then cuts off.

    It took 6 times going to the install to have 2 stereos installed. This should have only taken 2. The Geek Squad manager was very rude and unprofessional. Told me my option was to bring the truck back and we will uninstall the stereo.

    I purchased the car radio and was scheduled to have it installed within a week of the purchase. Best Buy in Lake Charles rescheduled me twice within a month pushing the installation date out a month. Eventually, they offered me an installation location in Beaumont or Lafayette. I choose Beaumont and drove there only to discover the installer was not scheduled to work that particular morning. I was livid because I drove 45 minutes for nothing and now I was almost 2 months without a radio. I returned the radio and vowed to never purchase anything that has to be installed. I was able to speak with a department manager in Beaumont and he could care less.

    After my experience I am not sure if I will ever go back. They never showed me how to use my radio. It took me 2 days to figure it out and the speaker does not work so I can make calls while Sri and they can’t hear me when I answer.

    The radio was nice but the best buy geek squad at the best buy on 125 NW Loop 410 didnt even hook up the rear view camera and was rude over the phone when i called to see if they can connect it they could have just said stop by so we can check it the car has a rear cam its part of the installation

    I had this unit in my car for less than a year before it failed. The screen went black while using carplay while driving. The unit no longer turns on/functions.

    The apple car play keeps disconnecting even though the cord does not move. I have changed the cords and even made sure to have a genuine Apple cord.

    The volume buttons are to the left and are not user friendly. The clock doesn't work right. It needs an update from KW.

    Lost steering wheel controls after the first week it was installed. Kept dropping connections with my phone and while in maps, it would keep searching for connection but as soon as unplugged the phone, maps would work on my phone. When I plugged it back in, it would keep searching for connection. Also, screen would go bright white in maps mode so you couldn't see the map.

    Worst stereo I've ever seen! I had several issues with this model. Green, pixelated garbage on the screen, screen freezing up until the vehicle is turned off & started again, etc. I returned it in less than a weeks time, and went with a high end, more expensive Kenwood model, the DMX9707s. Best Buy was great about doing the return & installing my new model.
