Kenwood is a quality brand that delivers what you pay for. This amp functions beautifully when installed properly and not driven to clip. Having trouble with any amp overheating or "Blowing" is an installation related issue in 95% of the cases.
Amplifiers must be mounted correctly for correct cooling and supplied with adequate power.
If you are blowing or overheating your amp, measure the voltage at the input terminals when the amp is under a load, is it falling below 12 volts? If it is, your amp will overheat and eventually die.
