I went into the store looking to upgrade my stock stereo. Wanted to be able to plug a flashdrive into something. Don't have a lot of space on my phone. And pandora gets tiring. So with the recommendation of the clerk, and the installation process was on discount at the time, i purchased this one. Got in installed today, they showed me how to work everything. Still getting used to it. But when I plug my flashdrive in, it says no music. Is there a brand or flashdrive I should use? I've tried everything that I know to do.

I bought this based on high ratings (here and elsewhere) as a replacement for a 5 year old Sony CD/MP3/USB/AUX receiver. Figuring it was time to 'upgrade' to something with Bluetooth & Android capability. Being so used to my Sony I knew I would have to 'get used to' the differences but there were a few that grated on me. Starting from least to most significant: - Clock display is way too small - Too much fussing to switch between Tuner, CD and USB. (I will never use Pandora or iHeart) - Bluetooth pairing went ok, but even with phone volume on highest setting I had to crank the receiver volume up to 30 to hear music and it isn't as clear, so I will not use BT. - Kenwood Music Play works fine from my Galaxy S5 but it doesn't work at all from my Samsung Tab S2, which has thousands of songs. - Takes at least 4 times as long as the Sony to READ the CD. (More than a minute) - Takes 10 times as long to READ a USB thumb drive as the Sony (I'm over a mile away from home before it starts to play music!) - Of my three USB thumb drives: #1 is displayed as 'NO DEVICE' #2 displays as 'NA DEVICE' #3 takes too long to READ but does work fine once READING has completed. Ok, so what was good? Seems to have better sound, but then I installed larger & better quality front speakers in the vehicle so that may be a wash. In conclusion... By upgrading to 4-5 year newer technology I expecting at LEAST as good a unit as the old Sony, but sadly the two inputs I used the most CD & USB are sorely lacking on the Kenwood. Frankly I would return it right now (one day after purchase) if it weren't for two things: 1. Rewiring the connectors for another receiver (Why isn't there any standard for this?) 2. What would I buy? Something with lower ratings? I guess I should have taken a day to play all the receivers in the store to narrow it down to what I felt most comfortable with, and would actually play from my three USB drives.

Bought one for my daughters car and liked it so much I got one for myself. My phone has tons of music on it and now can hear it in my car. Woohoo!

The radio is easy to control , got it as a Father's Day gift for my dad he loves it

This product was installed when I got a PA660 amp for system and works great.

This radio is a simple system, very small, connects to your Phone and can charge it as well ! only problem is that it has a hard time staying connected to your phone

I did install myself and it would have been better if BB would have sold me the correct dash kit. I have/had some issues with the fit because of that otherwise everything else is good.

Cheep radio you get what you pay for... IT IS WHAT IS IS!!!.
