Love that I can connect my droid without cables for calls and music. Good call quality. I wish you could set the display to one color instead of the changing color all the time. Volume goes to 35 and for me I wish it could go louder.

Easy to use and install. Sounds good HD radio works great has the rds on non hd stations which a lot of older hd radios did not have that. The Bluetooth for the phones is much improved with the external microphone. The older Kenwoods had a built in mic and created a lot of noise. Only reason this did not get a 5 star is because the AM radio is lousy. I listen to AM occasionly for some talk radio and ballgames. If you don't listen to AM this will not be a big deal.

I need another radio , so I went to best buy to see if they could help me. I did a little browsing and this Kenwood radio caught my eye. I read all of features it had and convinced myself that this is the radio for me... I installed it in my car (1996 Mustang gt with factory Mach 460 sound system ) and all I could say is "WOW".... When I'm cruising around town it sounds like I have a live band in my car...Now I will admit that I installed it to the factory amplifiers in my car so some of that sound is being contributed by the amps but this head unit in the end is still responsible for most of the clear sound... It seems as if when I turn the volume up past a certain point the radio adjusts the bass level to reduce the chance of damage to your speakers...This radio also comes with a remote control and mini microphone for when you receive phone calls via bluetooth... All of my friends and family can hear me alot better now since I hooked up the mic to this unit...The only problem I had with this radio is here and there it won't come on. I checked all of my wiring and everything was good there ... When this problem occurs I just hit the rest button and all is good...I was thinking that maybe this was some type of anti-theft or circuit protection feature that's activating for whatever reason...Then again its been along time since I've installed a radio and if memory serves me correct, it's a good ideal to ground the radio chassis. This might have something to do with it, but anyway I'm still giving this radio 5 stars because it performs well and the one problem I have might be because of something I missed when I installed it.....

I needed a new radio my truck, 96 blazer, was tired of the stock one. Didn't much care for the type a radio since I just drive it to work. But you can only stand hearing the same songs on every station for so long. So I went n just grabbed whatever radio off the shelf that that had an auxiliary input. Didn't feel like installing it myself so I had geek squad do it. Radio and dash kit for perfectly. Turned out to be a really good unit. Didn't know the factory speakers put out such amazing sound. Easy to use. The Blue tooth quality is amazing. The unit picks up the blue tooth device from more than 20 feet away. It even picks up the device automatically where the song left off after turning the car back on the next day, if you haven't played around with the music on device or ipod. All in all radio is pretty awesome for the price.

This headunit, immediately after installation, increase the volume output by 2 to 3 times and also made the quality of the sound absolutely amazing. I don't even have to change the stock speakers (which I was going to do). This car is right on up there with my dads premium Bose sound system in his Suburban. It's crazy what just this headunit has done. As for everything else, I'm happy. I like all of the colors and functions, and you can set it to show the clock/artist/playlist/etc. HD Radion is excellent as well. The only thing I dont like is that it's sometimes hard to search for things while you're driving because you have to click the main know like 3 times :/ Besides that, everything is perfect, and I'm happy that I got this. Get it yourself.

Been using the head unit for about a month now and I still happy I purchased it. Pandora plays commercial free, which alone makes it worth it. Any app that has audio will play via the BT (Blue Tooth) connection. So my entire music catalogue is available via Google Play. This unit also picks up way more radio stations than my factory radio did. The first week after my install, the unit wouldn't turn on about every 3rd or 4th time I'd restart my car, until I took the face off and insert a pin into the reset hole. However, a firmware upgrade resolved that issue. Kenwood technical support advised me to get the unit serviced. So I'm guessing their techs aren't even advised on what the firmware updates will fix or not. But that's my only complaint, and the reset thing hasn't occurred again since.

This radio provides everything I wanted for a entertainment while on the road. The radio reception is very good. The CD player is still available for old style audio CDs. The USB port provides another avenue for mp3 sounds. The aux port makes other audio devices without bluetooth available as well. And the cell phone connection is great. I am very pleased with this product..

Love this stereo. The hands-free bluetooth is great. Easy to use and sounds great. I drive a diesel truck and people have no problem hearing me and I have no problem hearing them. The instructions are not so intuitive. I haven't had it very long so I am sure as I use it more, it won't be so hard to figure out. Definitely keep the owners manual in the vehicle in the beginning.

Installing this reliever made an amazing difference in the sound quality with my existing speakers. I replaced an old Sony unit and what a difference. The blue tooth is excellent. My callers can hear me clearly as I do them. If I would have know what a big improvement I would enjoy I would have bought this receiver a long time ago.

The sound and feature set is quite good. The bluetooth to the phone works very well. It does a lot so you have to learn how to make it work. USB input on front is handy. One firmware update failure disabled the unit, one system lock up meant it had to be reset and re-setup (happened once), and auto-dimming would be a nice addition.

We had a hard time finding a bluetooth car radio that fit our 6 year old suv and had I-phone 5 capability. The personnel in Best Buy did not stop until they found the right radio for our car. Without their help we would have been searching and searching. I don't think anyone could beat that service and have us drive out with the one we wanted installed and ready to go.

THIS STEREO IS GREAT BECAUSE IT HAS AN AUX TO USE EITHER YOUR IPOD, IPHONE, OR ANDROID DEVICE. YOU CAN ALSO USE A USB FLASH DRIVE WHICH YOU CAN PLAY MANY OF YOUR MUSIC STORED ON YOUR FLASH DRIVE. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THIS STEREO IS THE SOUND QUALITY . MY SOUND SYSTEM IS BASIC BUT IT HELP ME BOOST UP MY BASE FROM MY SUBWOOFERS. THIS STEREO IS ALSO GREAT BECAUSE IT ALLOWS YOU TO CHANGE THE COLORS FROM THE STEREO TO MATCH YOUR DASH BOARD LIGHTS. THERE ARE BETTER KENWOOD STEREOS LIKE THE KDC-955HD WITH 7 BAN EQ, HOWEVER ITS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THIS MODEL. I WILL RECOMMEND THIS MODEL IF YOU WANT A GOOD STEREO WITHOUT FANCY FEATURES. BUT IF YOU GOT THE MONEY TO WASTE GO FOR THE TOP MODEL.

All in all a great stereo. Just what I needed, a good tuner and a USB/Ipod plug. Works great, sounds great, easy to use, and looks good in dash. I haven't used the Bluetooth function, cause I've got an earpiece, but it's there with a mic above your mirror. Some day I may test that out just to see.

I think that this is a great car stereo for the price! It does everything that I need it to, and I especially love being able to link it to my cell phone via Bluetooth for hands-free calling, music streaming, and more!

This was my 3rd upgrade and it has everything I wanted. Awesome sound, easy blue tooth setup, and upgradable accessories.

the sound is great! has plenty of equalizer settings. install was fairly easy on my nissan. finding a spot for the included microphone was tricky and the cord was ridiculously long, had to zip tie all the excess. its has good compatibility just not so much with my windows phone mostly while playing music through Bluetooth it'll only use the front speakers. but for minimal display its a winner hands down.

Great stereo love the hands free blue tooth. When talking on the phone threw the stereo it sounds crisp n clear just as if talking on the phone itself.

Nice controls for radio, only down side for me was an older phone doesn't allow for contacts to transfer to the radio. Have to do everything manually. Other wise good radio upgrade for me.

This is a good head unit that has all the major features without breaking the bank. While this head unit may not have all the bells and whistles it has most of the major feature to look for: integration with smartphones such as the ability to make and receive calls, bluetooth streaming, streaming Pandora and other apps, USB connectivity for playing MP3's, 6 pre-outs and 2 subwoofer outs etc. So while it may not have some of the fancy feature of the higher priced head units, it more then sufficient to enable you to build a good system around it.
