Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the K500 Brewer's ease of use, the carafe, and the hot water features. Many appreciate the large water reservoir and the sleek design. However, some customers find the price to be high and cleaning to be somewhat inconvenient. The quiet operation was also a plus for some users.

I purchased this product 7 months ago and about 2 months ago the machine stopped working. The display screen is now completely black when I turn it on. I have unplugged it for 2 months and when I plug it in and turn it on nothing happens still. Over $200 sitting on my countertop looking shiny and new and useless.

I purchased this for my husband, an avid coffee drinker. He loves it. It is super fast and quiet. The reservoir is nice and large, so there's more time spent making coffee and less time filling up the water tank. The k-carafe is a pretty cool upgrade from the last Keurig. You just slide the included carafe into the slot where the drip tray would go, pop in a carafe pack (a larger version of a k-cup) and bam. You've got roughly 4 cups of coffee brewed in about a minute and a half.

Purchased this coffee maker after much deliberation. I will say that it is wonderful. Not quite as quick as my commercial Keurig at work, BUT its quieter and better looking. I was drawn to this for its features of filtration, large water cap, and the different sizes able to be brewed. Did not realize that the smaller kcups would only brew up to 10ozs (even though our commercial goes up to 12) so that was one draw back as I feel I am wasting the larger pods on a 16oz coffee and not brewing a carafe. Other than that, this unit is great and highly recommended over smaller inferior units

We finally converted to a Keurig and we should have done it sooner. It is quick to make a cup of coffee whenever you want one and it is much better to drink a Fresh cup of coffee instead of one that it reheated. There are many choices for type and flavor of coffee. We also purchased a K-cup to use regular ground coffee. Lets us use our favorite ground coffee and works well.

We had to replace our Keurig so I was out and saw this new unit. It looked like a nice upgrade from ours. Starting out I wasn't happy that I could not use our reusable k cups as they would not work on this new unit. I like to grind my coffee fresh. So I had to go back and buy a new version to match the new 2.0. Then in less than 2 weeks it would not put out water to make any coffee. My wife googled it and found out that its a common problem. We had to use a paper clip up in the water nozzle to get it to work. And doing that did work. We have cleaned it a couple times since but have not had any problems. It does make good coffees do allow you to choose your size. Plus we like the larger water tank. We have not used all the different features or the caffe yet.

The Keurig K500 has a bigger water tank reservoir which is great if you are entertaining a lot. It has a nice touch screen display that is easy to use, and has options to choose size and strength of your coffee.

This new model was easy to start up. It does a fine job making coffee. I don't like the KCup reader that limits what brands can be used- too proprietary. Also, carafe does not keep coffee hot very long.

This has been the best coffee maker that I have ever had. It is very easy to use and to maintain clean. The reservoir holds plenty of water so you are not always filling it up. This was a great buy.

Bought this for my husband last Christmas and he has loved this coffee maker and the fact that you can make a carafe of coffee with the larger pods. He is a true coffee drinker. My daughter in law saw this sitting on our counter and commented that she needed a new one so we bought her this one for Christmas. She loves it. She loves that it is all touch screen and it matches the stainless in her kitchen. She also loved the versatility of all the settings this model offered over her previous one. Very happy with this Keurig model and a must have for coffee drinkers.

My first Keurig system. Been enjoying it immensely. This particular unit didn't come with a filter. I looked at other Keurig systems and they have filters. This came free with a purchase I made at BestBuy. I guess I would have to purchase it myself. I already have a water system so this isn't a problem. The coffee is great and I use it for making hot water for my tea

This is a replacement for the Keurig 550. For some reason the 550 stopped working. I am very pleased with this. I especially like the fact that it came with a suction device for when coffee get stuck up in the needle. The suction device works great. This one works just like all the other 2.0 coffeemakers. I am very pleased with it. It makes the same amount of coffee as the others and so far I have had no issues with this one.

    Horrible Coffee Maker

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Between the feeble DRM and the constant clogging of the top needle I would not recommend this coffee maker. It's pretty bad when Keurig has to make a dedicated tool to unclog the needle. I suffered through this product for six months. I finally got fed up and returned it.

This is a great machine to make coffee, tea or anything hot. I love the hot water on demand option. The one thing that drives me crazy is it doesn't keep the time, gains at least 15 min a day until i reset the clock to right time.

But,...then start working again, what happend: afther read the instructions and asembly evrything in place, let's make a cup or two of coffe, the first cup run as normal but at the second cup right afther starting to brew just stop pumping the water and a msg saying to clean the niddle and restart the machine ! Did all that process of cleaning, didn't see anything in that niddle, unplug for half a min to reset and plug again, still not working and that msg still showing. Finaly afther three/four cleaning processes start working again, but not for long, because that happend afther few cups of coffes again. Take it back and make an exchange with Nesspresso, will see,...!

I love the larger capacity for water in the reservoir and this machine is fun to use. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because not all K-cups will work in it (like it did in my old one.) I bought an apple cider K-cups that said it worked in all Keurig machines, but when I tried to use it the machine gave me an error message and said it is not the right product and I had to return the K-cups. Bad move Keurig. Now I have to worry any time I buy K-cups.

Got this free as a promotional product when I bought all new kitchen appliances. Disappointed that I had to buy separate accessories on order to use my own coffee instead of the pods.

Yes it is DRM protected for K-Cups but the implementation is pretty lame, lot of videos available online on how to hack the system. Machine is good and Brewing is great love it.
