The Wyze Keypad for the Wyze Lock is a perfect solution for your smartlock for your smarthome. First, this keypad can be installed anywhere. It can be installed on the door, on the wall, or where ever it is aesthetically pleasing. This unit has a clean, crisp look to it. It is easy to wipe off as being in the elements can build up grime. All of the digits light up whne you touch any button. What is so different about this keypad? I have several other locks with keypads at my house. We each have are own codes. But what is so different about this keypad is that you can actually give codes to let people in your house for a temporary time. You can give permanent codes and temporaty codes and then you can see through the app who used the codes and at what times. So, if you give a contractor a code on Monday from 12pm - 4pm. You can see that he can in at 2:22pm and left and 3:07pm. I am not able to do that with any other lock I currently have on my doors. I have a teenage son, If I had installed this on my front door, I would be able to see what time he came in. Luckily I have a camera, so I can also use that. But this is another use for this type of lock if you do not want to use cameras. This would also be great for parents with kids coming home from school. You could see when they came home. This is a great addition to the Wyze lock and I would recommend to friends and family.

This is a must have accessory to pair with the Wyze lock! Technically its not necessary as you could unlock using the app alone, but that is more of a pain to have to take out your phone, unlock it, open the Wyze app, then finally unlock the lock.... its much easier just to type the 4 digit code into the keypad and voila! Your in! Setup and install was the best part of this.... it was so easy!! I have used other smart locks and I wouldn't say their install was super hard, but it definitely wasn't this quick and easy! The keypad has some sticky tape on the back of the mounting plate that firmly holds it in place and then you can screw it into the wall... I'm convinced you don't even need to screw it into the wall because the tape is THAT sticky. It holds it very firmly in place and doesn't move at all. This is a must have accessory and I couldn't imagine NOT having this lock and keypad now that I've been using it for a few weeks! It simple, effective, and I love that I don't need to use a new key IF the battery dies. Highly recommend,

Bottom Line: Most buyers of the Wyze Lock should also pick up the Keypad accessory. The Keypad provides Wyze Lock users with another way to lock and unlock the door, and I consider this a must-have accessory for those who want to ditch the physical key and not worry about locking themselves out of the house if they step outside without their phone. Pairing the keypad with the app was straightforward, and I chose to set a 6 digit code. The keys are backlit, and the audio is crisp and clear to let the user know when a button is pressed. In short, it works well for its intended purpose. This is not to say, of course, that the Keypad is perfect. It is on the thicker side (to accommodate AA batteries), and there is no way to secure the Keypad to its backplate, which can be attached to the mounting surface with included sticky back and/or two screws). I also wonder about the durability of the Keypad, which is made of plastic, although there does seem to be a pretty good watertight seal for the battery compartment.

This is a great addition to the Wyze lock and will make it difficult for you or your family members to accidentally lock yourself out. If you don't have your key or phone with you all you do is need to remember your code to get back in. If you forget that, then you're out of luck! It probably goes without saying, but just in case, this is an accessory for the Wyze lock and will not work with anything else. Pairing with the Wyze lock is pretty easy and the app will walk you through that. Once it's set up you can both unlock and lock the door without a key or phone and you can just leave your phone in your pocket when interacting with the door. Mounting is fairly simple. There is double back-tape that sticks it up while you screw it into the wall. In my case I should have wiped down the wall first, as my dusty garage wall didn't hold the tape well and it fell off while I was trying to screw it in. I would not rely on using just the tape to hold it permanently, as it will probably eventually fall off or can be easily swiped by a bad-actor. I ended up screwing mine in and then wasn't happy with how the screws secured into the drywall near the door so I ended up unscrewing it and using a couple drywall anchors. Now it's not going anywhere. Prior to setting up the Wyze lock and keypad we tended to keep the garage door unlocked in case someone left without a key. The problem is if someone forced their way into the garage they could get into the house. Now we have the peace of mind that we can keep that door locked but no one will get locked out.

Warning: You have to have a Wyze Smart Lock to be able to use this Wyze Keypad. I grabbed the Wyze Keypad as I bought the Wyze Smart Lock. I previously installed the same combination at my parents' house and I love the convenience of having a keyless entry system. Once I had the lock installed and set up through the app, the app asked me if I wanted to set up the keypad. I agreed to that and it walked me through the general installation steps. If you need more detail, it's just a click away. Setup through the app was easy and it was quick to connect to the Wyze Smart Lock. You can set one master key code and that works well. Then you can set several guest codes and set parameters or revoke the codes as needed. I have an August Keypad to go with my August Smart Locks and I like that the Wyze provides audible chimes when you get the combination correctly. With my August Keypad, I have to listen for the unlock tone from the smart lock itself through the door. Add to the fact that the Wyze Keypad is half the price of the August Keypad. Overall, the Wyze Smart Lock with the added keypad is a great combination. Since the Wyze products seem to be about 50% of the its competition, I'm seriously considering replacing my August locks with the Wyze products so that I have all of my Smart Locks in one ecosystem and more importantly one app on my phone instead of the 3 that I currently have installed.

The keypad for Wyze smart lock is, in my opinion, a necessary accessory for your Wyze smart lock. The two go hand in hand so when you don't have your keys or your phone to unlock your smart lock you can just simply type in a passcode. The keypad comes with all the necessary mounting hardware. It also comes with the power source which is two AA batteries. When purchased for the Wyze smart lock and while performing the pairing process, the app will ask if you want to pair a keypad. Once selected, the app will walk you through the entire process of pairing the keypad with the lock. What I really liked about the pairing process is that the Wyze wifi adapter automatically picks up the keypad. It was so simple! After pairing the keypad with the wifi adapter and lock, the app allows you to select a pin code that will unlock the smart lock. You can add multiple codes as well as time sensitive codes directly from the smartphone app. Another really cool feature is that the buttons have a backlight so you can unlock the smart lock in the dark! It is simple to set up, simple to use, and it isn't unbearably large. This is a necessary addition to the Wyze smart lock!

This is my first ever smart lock for my place. I was a bit hesitant about these locks just due to what happens if the battery dies or I lose my phone or something like that. In these situations, I'd be at a loss since I wouldn't be able to unlock my door which would be a bad thing to say the least. However, the addition of the keypad resolves those issues for the most part. After pairing this with the companion app, I have an extra safety layer or backup available should I lose my phone/key/etc. I'm always worried now that if I step outside to go pickup my mail or something, the door will lock and I'll SOL. Not anymore though. This is a great peace of mind for me now that I have the Wyze lock installed. I no longer have to worry about making sure I leave my place with my keys or phone even if it's just for a minute or so. I'll have easy access to open the lock now and, again, that just gives me great comfort in knowing I won't be locked out. if you pick up the lock, then I'd highly recommend this keypad as well. Great ease of use with this keypad (Installation is a breeze too) and no more worries about locking yourself out.

This is such a great addition to the Wyze lock. Wyze has mastered the art of making installation so easy. This keypad is EASY to install as well. I put it on the door, paired with my lock and I have an automated door in a few minutes. The confirmations and feedback are so intuitive. The keypad lights up, and the tones are very recognizable. The lighting, and sounds make it easy to operate. I know if I entered the numbers right because the sound is distinguishable or, it alarms if I left the door open, or it alerts me if the door is jammed. Keypad number sharing is great too and very intuitive once paired in the app. I easily shared the app to my wife and she can choose her own number combination to unlock the door. I can also provide guest pass numbers which is perfect when relatives come over and we’re not at home, which happens 3 out of 5 times, so we can let them in first. I can imagine how helpful this must be for AirBnb hosts—it’s a must have I will say. Such a time-saver to not have to bring my keys and lock/ unlock the door. This keypad makes it so easy!

Welcome to the 21st century! I got this to interface with my Wyze smart lock to remove the need to use an app, and integrate the ability to unlock the door via Google Assistant/Alexa on my phone or via my car stereo when I pull into the driveway. Installation was extremely simple - just follow the well-written directions and you'll have it up and running in no time. The beauty of this devices is that you can set temporary codes for guests, limit hours/days that codes work, and only have to change batteries once every 6 months (two AA batteries, first set is included). You can set a code for a delivery and not worry about the porch pirates taking your package off the doorstep. It is water resistant so if you live in an area that it rains often (like Florida!) , you don't have to worry that it will get ruined. I personally feel that this should have been included with the Wyze lock, but then again not everyone will want the keypad so it's not necessarily a bad thing that it's separate. A home run product!

The one hesitancy I had about the Wyze lock was that it doesn’t have a keypad built in. I have to have a keypad since I have kids that will use the door that don’t have a smartphone or other device to access the door, and they would just forget a key if I gave it to them. This add-on fixes that issue. The pro to this add-on is that it was a bit of a pain to install. Connecting to the lock and getting it running was easy, but the door I’m using it on doesn’t have a great place to add the keypad. The best place is actually next to the door and is brick, so that just made it a pain to install. On the flip side, it does mean I can put the keypad wherever I want. For those that are a bit more security minded, it means you can put it in a place or angle so that someone from the street can’t see you type in the code. It also means that if you have a fancy expensive front door and care a lot about its appearance, you can hide the keypad to the side or out of the way to better preserve your aesthetics. I also love the options the company allows you to program codes with. Having options like codes that are good only during certain times of the day or temporary 1-use codes, opens up a lot of possibilities and lets me feel more comfortable with giving a code to a dog walker, house sitter, etc. without worrying that they could use the code some other time when I don’t want them to. Overall a good option to add a keypad to the Wayze lock and one I would generally recommend to everyone who gets the lock.

I didn't think a keypad was necessary, but let me tell you I was so wrong. I absolutely enjoy data. The more data you can gather on a subject, the more you know. I for one like knowing things. This gives me complete and total control over who can and cant get into my home. This also means I get a detailed report over the comings and goings of the guests I've assigned certain times and dates to enter my home. I don't run an Airbnb but I see how this could be great if you just want to give someone temporary access for a short period of time. I could also set recurring times for someone to enter the home in case maintenance needs to get in and do something in the home while I'm out of town. The possibilities are endless. It's really easy to set up on the Wyze app, just follow the instructions. It's relatively easy, open your Wyze app, click the PLUS (+) symbol and add the keypad. Hold the lock button until the light on the keypad turns green, input your desired code when prompted and voila. You're all set. The only issue for me was installing this on the outside of my apartment. I can't drill holes so instead I used a special 3M adhesive that I purchased at my local hardware store and it's held up beautifully. I can't speak on how weather proof it is because my door is secluded from direct light or wind, rain etc. but in the weeks that I've had the lock, it's only gone down 1 percent in battery life. I think that pans out to a pretty decent battery life in the long run.

This Wyze Wireless Lock Keypad works in conjunction with the Wyze Smart Lock Gateway. Installation was relatively quick and easy, though you will be wanting to refer to the Wyze App you'll use along with this smart door lock system. We already have a smart door lock (different brand) installed on our front entryway, and this Wyze keypad is very similar to the one that has. Both had the option to use a screwed-in mounting plate, or to simply adhere the keypad using the 'very' strong adhesive strip which was included. I prefer the adhesive rather than drilling more holes in my wooden door. But it's nice to have that option. The keypad is "weatherproof", although compared to the keypad for our other smart lock, this Wyze one seems somewhat lacking. Instead of the keys being all 'enclosed' in a matte rubberized type surface, the keys for this Wyze are not, so I question how weatherproof the keypad would be if rain or dust directly hit upon it. However, the Wyze's keys are LED backlit, which is definitely a positive difference, as my other smart lock's keypad does not have that. I really like the 'one-touch lock' feature, mainly for convenience sake. Plus, the customizable entry codes created via the aforementioned Wyze App, is an even more important security feature. Overall, I can highly recommend this Wyze Wireless Smart Lock System.

This keypad is a great addition to the Wyze Smart Lock. While it's not absolutely necessary to take advantage of the lock's features, it does extend the functionality and make it easier to use. The keypad is easy to install, and is very small so it doesn't stand out. At first I was worried about having a keypad because I feel like it advertises the smart lock and invites hacking attempts, but it's nondescript and not noticeable until you get up to the door. It was easy to pair with the lock and the app walks you through the pairing process. Each family member can be assigned their own code, so if you're away, it's easy to know when family members make it home safely, because the app notifies you when the door has been unlocked and who unlocked it. One of the best part of having this keypad is allowing others one time access to my home without giving them a key or needing to be present to let them in the door. You can set your Wyze lock to auto unlock when you arrive at home, but I've found that feature to be sluggish. It's much easier to punch in your keycode rather than fiddle with your key or open the app on your phone. If you have the Wyze Smart Lock, this keypad is a must buy to get the most out of your lock.

The Wyze Lock Keypad is definitely a must have accessory for the Wyze Lock. It enables app free use and allows for visitor / guest pass codes, single use, and time based codes. Perfect for allowing secure access to visitors and service providers. It also allows for quick locking and unlocking without the need for accessing the Wyze app or physical key. This keypad, unlike others, allows for each user to set their own personal access code. The lock owner / Wyze account admin can assign access codes or reset codes if users happen to forget. The pairing process was simple, and straight forward; way easier than I had originally expected. Simply follow the prompts in the Wyze app and set your personal access code. It really was that simple! The keypad is solidly constructed and offers visual feedback to indicate both correct (keypad glows green) and incorrect (keypad glows red) entry. The Wyze app logs each access attempt and provides handy alerts, so you always know who is accessing your home. All in all this is a decent accessory and I highly recommend to anyone purchasing the Wyze lock, you won't be disappointed.
