My only...it's not a complaint, more something I've noticed...is that the bass end doesn't have great clarity on recordings that were imperfect in the first place. The treble end more than smooths out any sound imperfections, though. If you're just working with quality recordings I wouldn't think you'd have a complaint.

The Kicker 6 x 9's sound so much better. The bass is more distinctive without distortion. Vocals are clear without distortion also. I also bought a set of 6 1/2" for the rear doors.

I was looking for something to replace the blown speakers in a truck that I've just purchased and these were more than satisfying to level of sound that I was looking. Now don't get me wrong I'm saying they carry sound like a pair of 6x9's but if you're looking for a quality budget speaker at this size you won't be disappointed!
