    4 years old and dead

    We purchased this unit four years ago and it just stopped working. It's been three weeks now, and it's still dead. I have a homeowners warranty, thankfully, that has had service out to out home to replace every circuit board. I bought a $400 out of the box fridge to put in my garage as a backup.

    Buyer Beware

    Died a week after warranty ended. Kichenaid , with difficulty agreed to repair, a complete circuit board. After that there was a shelf failure. Next was uneven ice, then complete system failure requiring reboots. Very unpredictable, after four years we are replacing!

    Cost me almost 4000 with tax, lasted only 14 months before it went out. Cost too repair $2000.. it’s not worth fixing it. I’ll get rid off it....never will I buy any any kitchenaud protuct again, certainly not at Home Depot. Don’t waste your money of this lousy cheap made produ. Product......KITCHENAID”

    Tried it twice, sent both back

    Loved the style and how it looked, but ended sending back two fridges after extreme moisture built up inside each one. No one could explain it, we were very disappointed because we loved the look. Research shows several people had the same complaint. Best Buy was fantastic about making it right. All our other appliances are KitchenAid. Ended up with an LG, its been fine.

    Not real happy about my purchase. I have had this refrigerator maybe two years and it has already stopped cooling. I thought I was purchasing a high end refrigerator that would last. I am now using my Ge that is over twenty years old that this was to replace.

    DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE. Had multiple issues from the day we purchased it. Has never worked properly. Stops working and requires repairs a few times a year.

    Compressor/Evaporator failed in 18 months

    Less than 2 years after purchasing had to replace compressor and evaporator. Very expensive to purchase up front and support terrible. Long hold times on Kitchenaid support, hung up on. Very disappointed with value and would not buy it again.

    Buyer Beware

    you are looking for a reliable product and good customer service from the manufacture, do not walk, run away from this refrigerator! Product was on back order, we waited for two months. Once the refrigerator was received it lasted two months before we awoke to warm food. We discovered the temperature had been fluctuating from high to low. Possible reason we had on and off stomach aches those two months. After four service attempts (4weeks) all failing. Whirlpool ,that now owns Kitchen Aid finally agreed to deliver a new one. Today ,two weeks later, we received yet another damaged product. After sitting on hold for two hours, their solution was to put the non-working one back in our house and wait for another one to be delivered at a later date. Their exceptionally rude person in the exchange department for whirlpool finally agreed to let us keep the working/damaged product, until they could get a new one ,but only after reminding me several times this was not customary and to not expect this again. I am disappointed, I own several Kitchen Aid products and have never been treated in this manner.

    Pricey for something that quit working in 3 years

    Wanted to love this product so much. But, ice quit working after a year. Then the entire thing stopped at about 3 years. Multiple visits from warranty but never got it working right again. Now we have a beautiful non-working appliance in our kitchen. So disappointed.
