Disappointing Design Flaws
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has been one year of use. The interior lights began to flicker after the third month so I called for service. They had to change-out the control board to fix that. Now the top oven circulation fan is making a bad growling noise heard through the house. I traced it down to the 'slap-together' method the fan cowl and the heat coil inside the cowl are mounted to the interior oven wall. They are both loose and vibrate loudly. That is a design flaw, something I can't forgive. I will fix that after I find a suitable material that can handle the self-cleaning heat, and will stop the rattling. The self-cleaning doesn't do a thing for the interior glass window. I have tried to clean it but without much success, even with a mild baking soda solution. I have ordered a new window, something I will have to do annually I suppose. The one star I gave it is because it gets hot and cooks; something I can accomplish for a lot less than $3,200.

NEVER AGAIN KitchenAid
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could I would like to say no stars. I have had 3 KitichenAid mixers. The first mixer lasted forever. The next not as long and the last, I am waiting for it to give up the ghost as it has had problems and I know soon I will need a new mixer. Notice that I said mixer, not KitchenAid. Before buying my double ovens, I thought of the mixers but also, large appliances not lasting? They would not be in business. My new ovens were installed, I followed instructions and let it run as the installer said. Moving to various new homes, I have used many different self-cleaning ovens but, step by step I followed the KitchenAid instructions to self-clean the top oven. A few hours after it was finished, it was still too warm to open the oven. The oven was off so I felt safe going to bed. I feel now that it was safe because I had taken the things from the small drawer under the ovens out before the ovens arrived. Wax-paper, foil, other wraps, Etc. The next morning, it opened but was still too hot to touch. About two hours later, still hot but not as bad. I then was going to put the things back in the drawer. I did not hurt my hand but the brass handle was hot enough to turn my fingers bright red and burn. I seriously feel had I not removed the paper products, while sleeping, there would have been a fire. Not only the handle was hot but the bottom of the drawer, the entire drawer was uncomoforable to touch. I then felt the cabinet wood surounding the entire two ovens, very hot. Not warm, hot. I did as the booklet said and called KitchenAid Service Department, A very nice lady was understanding and sent me to another nice man. He said they would send one out to see what was wrong. Forget the rest of the story. I did discover that if it could be fixed, I would be keeping it. I paid good money for two new working ovens. I also discovered had I not bought the Best Buy warranty, I would have had no choice but to keep what they wanted me to have due to their policies. Best Buy could not have been nicer. They said don't worry aobut it and with us there, it was cancelled. And I am now looking forward to the arrival of another set of double ovens.

Already broken in less than a year
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst experience I have ever had with a company. Didn’t come with all the parts - and now less than 10 months of having the ovens, the electrical panel has failed. And to top it off, even though it’s under warranty - they can’t come out and even look at it for at least 5 weeks. All around, a horrible experience. Do not purchase this product.

KitchenAid - 27" Built-In Double Electric Convecti
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't buy this oven! I give my 3-month old, $4,000 oven one star because it is pretty. But it doesn't hold a correct temperature. Everything takes 15-25% longer to cook. Open the door after preheating and the temp drops 25 degrees and takes 5 minutes to rebound to the set temp. Then it fluctuates plus/minus 30 degrees during cooking. Biscuits that should take 15 minutes take 25+. Kitchenaid's (Whirlpool) experts say this is normal operation - BULL. Also, this oven fan exhausts hot air that will raise your kitchen temperature 5 degrees! Bad warranty; bad service; bad oven.

Quality lacks from older models
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This replaced a 23 year old Kitchenaid oven that works great until the control panel failed & no replacement parts were made anymore. Put this in December 2020. After using it a few months it has not worked as the old one. Set temp at 350 & a separate thermometer reads 290. Step-up to 400 on oven but temps reads 350 on thermometer. Also takes a very long time to pre-heat. Much longer then the old one. And it also doesn't heat evenly. Baked biscuits & the back biscuits burn while the front biscuits were not done. At this point I called Bestbuy but they refereed to to Whirlpool which is parent of Kitchenaid. I now await what they will do to fix or replace this.

Do no buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It doesn't heat on the bottom oven. The top oven doesn't get to the right temp. The oven light will not go off, the oven racks never cool down (12 hours later, the racks are still too hot touch) The cooling down cycle is so loud we can hear it in the other room with a movie on. I HATE IT. We are not keeping it. My other kitchen aid wasn't great either. Cannot use the self clean without taking out the mother board (happened 4 times to me), But the Kitchen aid fits in the hole...so don't have to buy all new cabinets....

Returned oven
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Temperature could not be obtained correctly. 300 heated to 200. Replacement ovens were not accurate and lower convection put moisture between glass of to oven. Have now ordered a different and more expensive set.

Read Before You Purchase!!!!! Worst Oven Ever!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worst oven I have ever owned. I though it needed calibrating as it would not get to correct temp. Local service company says they vary 25 degrees either way. That is 50 degrees variance. He offered nothing else. End of story. Well it is a disaster to cook this way. The broiler comes on when the temp drops in order to raise the temp, so it burns the tops of everything. Please tell me this isn't the way this is designed. No one else to get except the guy who already came. DO NOT BUY!!! I CAN NO LONGER COOK ANYTHING!!! Burns the food and takes forever..... Just burned an entire batch of cookies. Oh and bottom oven doesn't get hot.....I am livid. What a waste of money.

KitchenAid 27 double oven tempcontrol doesn’t work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.KitchenAid 27” double oven purchased from Pacific Sales and installed in September 2022. Use most days especially for bread baking. The temperature control doesn’t work accurately. For 325 setting oven is 25 degrees off. For 450 setting, oven is 75 degrees off. For warranty service, have to use Kitchenaid’s local company. The reviews on this company is horrible. I’m thoroughly disappointed in the initial oven performance and question the quality control that wasn’t performed. Then as a follow up, their referred service company has more poor reviews than positive ones! I am looking for reputable service covered by warranty.
