    Defective glass on new oven

    I believe I have a second defective oven. First one came in dented and with an electrical problem. Second one seemed fine until I used the self cleaning oven. The entire glass is brown and gold stained. My glass wasn’t even soiled or stained. My new oven looks horrible. I couldn’t call on New Years Day, however I will reach out today. This has been a horrible experience. I lost $900 worth of food for a very special catered dinner. I was offered a $350 gift card which was never sent. I had to call and only then did they realize it wasn’t mailed. This is not the way I’m used to working. It’s been a disaster.

    Lots of Cheap Shortcuts to Cut Costs and it Shows

    Day two with the new ovens, and it’s more failed bakes. I have already called Best Buy’s excellent service, and the ovens are being replaced. My experience: The ovens take forever to heat up, and when they allegedly come to temperature, they are so far off that calibration is meaningless. Also, during the bake, using an in-oven thermometer (Kitchen Aid no less), the temperature fluctuated greatly and never came back to temp consistently over the 10 minutes that my cookies were trying to bake. Other things of note: There is only ONE timer on a SET OF DOUBLE OVENS. Annoying. Also… when your turn on the oven light, BOTH ovens light up. The same thing happens when you open up the oven door - peekaboo - everything shows! Just these two things demonstrate just how little the consumer was considered in the product development process. Not sure I have much of a warm and fuzzy for KA at this point, but Best Buy’s service? That was spectacular. PS - The Owner’s Manual that comes with the unit is poor too.

    Oven works but lights flicker

    This is a very nice looking oven and as far as cooking it works good. For some reason, our oven lights flicker when warming up and we even had Whirlpool replace our original oven under warranty and the new one does the same thing. Not sure if anybody else has ever had this issue or not. We have ruled out electrical issues at our home. Some things we don't like about this oven is that there is only one timer, Lights come on in both ovens at same time (not independent), and when you open the bottom oven steam clouds the top oven window. Not sure if I'd buy another Kitchen Aid oven in the future considering the cost and these issues.

    When convection is on it makes loud rasping noises on and off and when it cools off it's also very loud and long.

    Broke twice in 2 years.

    Bought in 2017. It has broken down twice. The first time was in 2021. Under warranty but had to pay for labor. The second time was Jan 22. Need a new relay board. Have been waiting for two months to receive. No eta on when I will receive it.
