Powerful and great build quality!

I'm loving this subwoofer, I thought I had a great subwoofer in the past (those smaller ones that come included with a value home theater), but oh boy, I was so wrong! This thing is a beast, and is build like one. Its heavy and so powerful. It truly makes my place move and the bass is clear and without any distortion. It's not that big width wise, it's more of wider front to back, almost like a rectangle. It can handle a freq range of 29.5hz to 120 hz. I have set my crossover to 80hz so it catches freqs that my other speakers don't handle. It has a powerful amplifier and plugs to power. The driver is front firing and It has a small LED on the front to indicate whether its on or off. On the back you will find a low pass and phase control, LFE input and volume (named gain). The power switch has 3 positions (on, off or auto). I love the auto position, as it only turns on (automatically) if it receives any signal from your receiver, so it also turns automatically off, thus saving you power. The sound is clear and phenomenal, its plenty enough for a small to a medium place (heck, even a large one, is that powerful). Honestly, if you live in an apartment, this is not for you, your neighbors will complain! (jokes aside, you can tune the volume at your preference).

A great Sub for your Reference Series Audio Setup

During my most recent home audio upgrade, I was given the opportunity to replace my current set with a newer Klipsch Reference Series line of Speakers.
In the box you’ll find the Klipsch 101SW, a power cable, and some product & warranty documentation. The back of the unit has an auto power and phase toggle switch, a gain & loss pass dial, and line in inputs for connection to your Receivers Sub Outs.
Set up was fairly simple, as I paired this with an entire Reference Series set, and a new Onkyo Receiver with Dolby Atmos compatibility. For my use, I had the gain and low pass set to the middle of the dial, as this offered the best response with no distortion. Compared to my previous Klipsch Sub, this was a nice upgrade. The included power cable doesn’t require a specific orientation, making it easy to plug in. There is also a faint green LED light when the subwoofer is powered on, which can be viewed through the mesh grill, making it easy to confirm it's on.
Overall, compared to others, this is probably been the absolute best Subwoofer I’ve ever had the pleasure to own, and it’s complimented my audio setup nicely. The sub offers a high quality look, and awesome audio for any home theater system.

This review is for the following 7.1 setup:
Onkyo TX-NR6100 receiver
Klipsch R-101SW subwoofer
Klipsch R-30C - center
Klipsch R-40SA - height surround
Klipsch R-50M - back surround
Klipsch R-600F - front speakers
It was time to upgrade my 20 year old 5.1 system that didn't really have much bass to the latest technology. Let me just tell you, huge difference. This has got to be the best 10" subwoofer I have ever heard. It completely fills the whole room with bass. No weird distortions from the speaker or box, Just awesome bass. You can control the bass with the gain and low pass knobs on the back to get the perfect punch that you want. You can also put it on standby mode so that it will shut off if it doesn't detect any sound. Speakers arrived on a palette. The boxes made them seem larger but it was just good packaging. The grill came with some packing behind them for protection. The grill is also magnetic except on the subwoofer, so they are really easy to remove and put back on. On the back of the R-600F it has two connections at the bottom. The main and the height. You can connect your R-40SA with supplied cables to the Dolby Atmos connection in one of the pictures as long as you have wires running to the height connection at the bottom. I have included pictures that show the vinyl up close and they look great with the copper colored speakers. The tweeters on these speakers let you stand anywhere in the room and still get about the same awesome sound. The copper colored speakers provide a nice mid-range. Each speaker on its own doesn't do much but when you combine them all it is audio bliss. Sounds just come from every where while watching a movie and the explosions make you feel like you are in the scene. I can actually hear things in songs I didn't hear before. Even at high levels they still sound great. You will not regret this purchase. Really happy to own this setup.

HOLY COW THIS THING IS HUGE

This thing is MASSIVE. HOLY COW I didnt realize how big this thing was when I ordered it. I was looking for a subwoofer that pairs with my powered bookshelf speakers and this one was recommended. I hooked it up and the bass from this device not only filled the whole room but you could hear it from the other end of the house! It took to tweaking and adjusting to get everyrhing dialed in correctly but it sounds really good. If I am watching a movie sometimes I turn the bass down a little so it doesn't drown out the dialogue, but if I am listening to music I turn the bass back up and it fills the entire room and sounds really good.
This is a good subwoofer just be aware of how big it is. I had to rearrange my home theatre setup to accommodate it.

First off, I have been a fan of Klipsch for a long time, so I had no hesitation in purchasing this. However, we ultimately chose this one over other brands because the surrpund sound we had at our house required a receiver and the speakers were not Bluetooth compatible, so we really needed a subwoofer that had a wired option. This was one of the few that were actually available. The sounds quality is incredible, as with all Klipsch products I've purchased in the past.

Firstly, I love this subwoofer. I purchased it for $350 on a sale. For reference, I've read other reviews that people were able to purchase this for $300.
It sounds amazing when you can turn up the volume and also at quieter levels for when your neighbors are sleeping.
The subwoofer elevates all genres of music. Linkin Park, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Dead Club City, Ed Sheeran, Our Last Night, Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, HAIM, Billie Elish etc.
The subwoofer is fairly large and takes up a lot of space. I highly recommend you make sure your setup can accommodate this.
I sadly ended up returning the subwoofer in plans of getting the 12" version or saving up for the 12" premiere sub. Time will tell.
This subwoofer definitely packs a huge punch and would make a great addition to an entry to mid tier home setup.

Replaced a Boston Accoustic 10” for this, and could not be anymore satisfied and happier. The quality of the bass and response is a huge step up. My previous enclosed sub was down firing so wanted to try something different and I’m glad the experience of trying a forward firing was as rewarding as this. Highly recommend. The setup was easy that even my son could have done it. It was an open box item, but I’d do it all over again because it was flawless.

This subwoofer has amazing quality and power. It routinely shakes my house with sounds. More impressively though, it has the highest quality sound I've heard. If I close my eyes, while listening to jazz, it sounds like someone is playing double bass in the room with me. I would know, I am a double bassist. If you're looking for a remarkable subwoofer, this is it.

This 10-in subwoofer is replacing a Trevoce 1300 watt three driver 15" powered subwoofer which is not a good sub for my space. The Trevoce subwoofer app iwoofer app is completely broken... the developer is in Russia any is either fighting a war or completely uninterested in upkeep of the app. I also have a 12-in Polk from 10 years ago that's great but takes 30 minutes to warm up...not ideal.
Once I put this 10-in in I am catching ranges that that 15-in couldn't produce and the space. So I'm very happy with this and I'm glad I didn't spend extra money on the reference premiere because I have a lot of reference premiere speakers but didn't want to spend the extra 150 bucks on the RP sub knowing that I already have an amazing sub.
