I like the portability and rugged design. Although connectivity can be somewhat of a problem. It would be better if it had a USB-C port as well as a conventional USB port.

Wow! This hard drive has been a work-horse already. It's faster than other hard drives that I've tried, and is quieter than my other ones. Many photographers recommended this one to me, and I am so happy with it so far! I've had too many hard drives crash on me, and being a photographer, I really need to keep back ups of my photos without worrying if it'll crash.

Definitely the most reliable SSD brand, however I have had problems with the cable disconnecting. I bought this about a year ago and started having trouble with it disconnecting in the middle of me editing randomly. Best Buy replaced it, and while the cable is definitely still very loose it doesn't disconnect for no reason anymore.

I absolutely love this little HD! I actually bought 2- one to use for my time machine backup on my iMac and one to use for extra storage. I am photographer so I need lots of storage and need to make sure I am using something reliable!

Rugged with 5 terabytes of storage is more than enough for tons of pictures and videos. Easy to use. Just plug it in. It is heavy with the rubber armor surround. But that's what makes the product unique.
Drive is good, 3rd party shipping ruined the deal.

The drive itself is great and a good value (I got one from another vendor), but I purchased this from Best Buy, and it turns out it was supplied/shipped through another vendor!
The vendor had a delivery day the next day, so I gave it two just to be realistic. It took 7 days to get to me! I neded it right away so i purchased it from a different seller and they DID get it to me in two days. I immediately returned the drive to BestBuy

Overall, happy with this purchase so far. I'm a filmmaker and editor, so I needed some place to offload old projects. When I do need to edit off the drive, I can confidently work on a ProTools session without interruptions. Plus, it's great that the product comes with a USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables, so I can go between my PC and MacBook Pro as needed.

I’ve bought this external HD twice. First for my MacBook Pro, to use with Time Machine. Since it’s used for a laptop, I like the fact that it has a silicone(?) bumper. But the original reason I bought it was because it was USB-C (the little one), which meant I didn’t have to get a USB-B to USB-C converter. I’ve been happily using it for a few years, It travels with the laptop (bumpy rides), and has been a breeze to use.
The most recent one I got was for my husband’s MacBook Pro. I discovered that he had NO BACK UP for his laptop (his only computer). So it was a no-brainer to get this external for him. I knew if it was anything complicated, he wouldn’t bother using it. Or, he would continuously ask all sorts of questions (What do I do to use this? (plug it in), Which slot should I plug this into? (Any slot on the MacBook) Do I really need this? (Yes, remember when you got a shutdown alert and thought you lost everything?).
He does now use this external HD, And, he even uses it to transport other files (besides using Time Machine), since the HD has so much memory.

EXTREMELY fast when connected to a Type-C Thunderbolt 3 port. So far, I am pleased with the performance and size of this external drive. It doesn't seem to suck away too much current/voltage, so I am happy with that, also. We are considering getting another one for my wife's laptop. Please note that we also use Acronis True Image for backup.

I am a professional photographer who is editing more then I would like to me so being able to take my file with me to edit on the go has been super helpful. This little drive has plenty of space to work from while on the go and I know it's going to be safe in this rugged case. Great drive from a great company. Would buy again.
