slow speeds but good price and capacity. needed in an emwrgency and it workes

This is much better than my last Hard Drive, but still a few kinks with a Mac transfer.

I got this to back up my photos and files on my iPhone and iPad mini . It do ant have any external switches so you plug it directly to device to back up. iPad mini nor iPhone 15 pro max were not recognized…

Easy set up. Good price. Data transfer is smooth. No noise or glitches. So far, no problems. It's doing what it is designed to do.

Device stopped working after the 2nd use. You can hear the platter making noise and then it stopped working.

It seems to always be ejecting from my laptop and it’s very very slow. I’m not trusting it with my files. I feel like it could crash at any moment and I JUST GOT IT. Maybe it’s the cord but it Makes me really sad.

Product didn’t even last me a year before crashing and having to spend $1500+ to recover my data. I do not recommend this product whatsoever! Hard drive was never exposed to the elements, just sat on my studio desk in a temperature controlled room.

After using it for a month, the USB C port is super sensitive on the hard drive. I did not do anything to damage it. I have to insert the cable at a certain angle and if the cable is touched at all, it disconnects from the port. Super bad for hard drives to disconnect improperly so often. And it makes this hard drive unusable for travel or in spaces not at a desk (which the whole point of buying this hard drive is to use it in tough places). If LaCie sends me a new one and it doesn't have this issue, then I will consider giving them a better review.

This thing damages so easily I’m shocked. This is my third LaCie drive and it moved a nanometer once and became damaged in Final Cut, then it fell from about 2 feet up and now it won’t work

I don't know with happened, had the geek squad format it for MAC computers. Plugged it in and the light lite and you could here it spin but none of my 3 computers would recognize that it was connected.

Biggest waste of money ever. Just pay extra for the cloud because this transfers nothing. Apparently you have to be a coder to use it and they can’t wait to get every ounce of info from you before you discover it’s useless . Worse purchase ever

The drive I received was defective. It did not show up under Disk Management. (I had previously received THREE defective LaCie drives from another vendor.) Best Buy processed a prompt refund.

Continuously disconnects and reconnects. Does it on 3 different PCs. Support is absolutely abysmal. No reply to my request. NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything Seagate related. Swore 20 years ago Id never buy Seagate and here I am 20 years later, disappointed. Again

This hard drive CONSTANTLY improperly ejects itself due to how loosely the cord connection is. You have to position it JUST right for your computer to even detect it. For something that is reviewed so highly, I was really disappointed in what a piece of junk it actually is.

Wayyyyy too bulky and one drop of any HDD might have you to rethink them. SSD all the way only. I returned this so fast when I realized that could happen and went with the Samsung t7 shield.
