An excellent choice to hold a monumental mountain of files. It’s sturdy, quick and dependable. I am very pleased.

I have had a long relationship with LaCie drives and I love this one most of all for its storage capability and rugged construction. This was a good purchase.

LaCie makes pretty good products so I always get LaCie externals. I plugged this into my Mac went to my Disk Utility and reformatted. No problems at all. I do like that these newer models have a power indicator light.

Just purchased this drive to transport media between multiple computers. The product description says it includes 2 cables, one for USB-C to USB-A, but this is incorrect. Unfortunately the package only has one cable, USB-C to USB-C. An adapter is needed to access a computer without USB-C ports.

I rarely write reviews, but feel like this one was warranted. This product worked as advertised for a bit, but now the port has become loose, to the point where sometimes if you breathe on it wrong it'll disconnect/reconnect. I never misused it, dropped it, etc. I tried a bunch of different cables, and they all gave me a tenuous connection at best. I'm not exactly sure what happened (heat?), but I know I can't trust my data on it any longer, which is a shame.

After having the drive for barely over a year, it totally failed on me and lost 90% of all my data. I was able to see that it was still somewhere on the drive with a recovery tool and sent it off to the Lacie free recovery service. They just copied the 10% of uncorrupted data to a different seagate brand hard drive and sent it back to me(not even a Lacie brand drive) very clearly not having done anything to recover any data. The day I received it back and saw they'd done nothing, I immediately reached out and told them, but they told me they already disposed of my drive with all the data on it. So now all my data was lost, I'm stuck with a seagate drive I didn't buy, and they started ignoring my emails after I kept requesting help with the problem. Absolutely terrible service and a terrible experience all around.
