I had to shoot a short film and I needed a reliable fast drive to handle it. It worked perfectly even after it fell about four feet.

I've been using Lacie Hard Drives for years and I've never had a problem. I know, never say never but I will here. They're really RUGGED. I recommend Lacie to anyone who has files that need to be saved. And as a practice of mine, I always buy two. I always have a backup. Stop wasting time looking at other hard drives and buy a Lacie.

This is the first time that I have used a LaCie product. Thus far, the 5TB portable hard drive has worked well.

This is my second purchase of one of these drives. I needed something I could use since I work on both a PC and Mac. This drive does the job. Reliable, fast and sturdy.

I purchased this product for my Mac’s Time Machine backup drive. It works great and I like that it is built to be rugged, because my last hard drive broke after falling 2 feet. The color is fun as well. Please be aware that the included usb cord is short.

You can’t beat the amount of space it holds in this day and age. The rugged build of the drive removes the need for a case and the drive easily formats for either Mac or Windows.

Not much to say except it does exactly as advertised. The orange silicone is nice for keeping it protected and its not so terribly big that it's a hassle to carry around (though it is chunky). I uploaded a number of video files and RAW + JPEG files and it barely even left a dent in the storage (then again I can't really conceptualize 5TB). It comes with both a USB-C and a USB-A cord.

Love this little LaCie - bought it to transfer files from old Win 10 PC - works like a charm, easy drag and drop. Rugged case helps to ease worries about damaging the drive.
