Recovery Service deleted all my data

After having the drive for barely over a year, it totally failed on me and lost 90% of all my data. I was able to see that it was still somewhere on the drive with a recovery tool and sent it off to the Lacie free recovery service. They just copied the 10% of uncorrupted data to a different seagate brand hard drive and sent it back to me(not even a Lacie brand drive) very clearly not having done anything to recover any data. The day I received it back and saw they'd done nothing, I immediately reached out and told them, but they told me they already disposed of my drive with all the data on it. So now all my data was lost, I'm stuck with a seagate drive I didn't buy, and they started ignoring my emails after I kept requesting help with the problem. Absolutely terrible service and a terrible experience all around.

After only having it for a year, it stopped working and would only turn on if i pushed the cord as hard as I could in the device and if the cord moved a hair, it turned off. I've never been so frustrated and disappointed in a computer accessory.

My first one held up for less than 2 years. Replaced with same one for some crazy reason and it failed within days after my computer crashed during a file transfer. I'm done with LaCie.
