Ledger app doesn't fully perform

It's Ledgers app that is the problem. When I upload crypto to it from my exchange never acknowledged tgat the crypto has been received. I have to wait hours if not the next day the close the app reopen it to see if the crypto is in my wallet. VERY FRUSTRATING.
