He was able to login with his school information and he picked up right where he left off. He is 9yo and was able to navigate the computer with ease. Does everything he needs it to do. Small, lightweight, and pretty cheap!

It has grey scale effects (shadows lagging in motions) shown in some Netflix movies. I compared the Lenovo 100e with my 2 year old Dell Inspiron 3181 Chromebook, running the same movies side by side, and the Dell had no ill effects at all. Video processing from the 100e is definitely not as good as the Dell. For price and typical use on internet browsing, I'd still recommend it...

•Fully power down and restart your Chromebook

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i have had this chromebook 2 months now and here s my reveiw. before i bought this particular chromebook, i looked at every reveiw i could. price, screen area, processor build quality etc. for 100.00 out the door i was very happy with my purchase, but before i bouht this device i tried 4 other names and models so for my use its durability cant be matched, word documents and heavy offfice work its truly a work horse. this device imo is not the wimp pepole make it out to be (on this site and others) i want this device to empress me with what it has been doing for me (i dint bye it to impress my freinds or neighbors, it has preformed very well and im very happy so much so my sister got one and she loves its preformance and value she does a lot of video editing, confrenceing emails and uses it for her buisness everyday. yes its not a900.00 pixelbook but i wanted a hummer not a cadilac

It does have a slight cheap feel but also looks nice. The screen is outdated but what do you expect for 100$? Overall I really like this chromebook though. I'm using it to record music and there were tons of great free recording programs on the play store. It's also surprisingly fast.. I think. Was sluggish when I first used it but I was on it earlier again and it was moving like lightning. Speakers seem well.. not so good and there on the bottom. But also great battery life which was what I wanted. No REAL complaints from me. Because I knew about em before i bought it. And for 100$? Great buy great laptop. I love this thing.

There is no flex in the machine and the KB feels very solid. The KB deck does not even flex under heavy typing. I have used other CB in this price range and this is by far the best. Plus with 32GB of storage it beats them all. If you're looking to consume data this will get the job done. I even installed Linux beta and it works pretty nice. And the Google playstore is great as well. Battery is outstanding. If you're looking to or need to use MS office this isn't for you.

Google Docs is completely compatible with Microsoft Office Programs and this is a free service through the Google Server. If you must have the actual Microsoft Office Programs, you can purchase Microsoft Office 365 for this Chromebook at the Google Play Store.

You can add an SD card for additional storage. The battery charge lasts for 10 hours of use. I was very surprised by the great non-reflective HD screen. With 32 GB of internal storage plus my SD card I can download & store may movies & tons of music which I can access wherever I go. Needless to say the price at Best Buy was the lowest I had seen anywhere. Very pleased & suggest that anyone looking to take the plunge into a Chromebook should definitely consider this one.

Solid entry-level Chromebook for Students

This is a solid, little machine for the price we paid. It’s certainly not the fastest machine on the market but it is plenty responsive and works great. I would consider it an entry-level machine, there are definitely better and faster but it serves its purpose well. Battery life is great, my son charges it when it needs it and it easily lasts a day or two at school. It is getting even more use now that he attends school from home and has been up to the task. The additional ruggedness is great for a student who carries it in a backpack and isn’t always the most careful with how we stores it. I hope we never have to test the drop protection but it has that if needed.

I run a small business out of my home and needed a laptop for basic internet use on a budget. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and allows me to access what I need. Slight learning curve as I am not familiar with the google play store or app based OS, but easy to quickly pick up. Perfect lite version of a laptop with an affordable price point. Highly recommend for casual users.

It's light weight, and the small screen size makes it less bulky which at times can be an asset. I especially like that it has a Unix interior with a command-line option. Many of my favorites were right there for my use, and I'm particularly pleased to see Perl already installed! Be sure to investigate the keyboard shortcuts if you are new to Chromebook. The only drawback is a single USB port, but I have an old dangling port expander that works fine with it.

It is surprisingly useful for applications in word processing, internet browsing, speech to text processing and on the fly audio and visual processing. I enjoy the compact size and light weight and it now goes into my backpack for everyday work. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOOL.

I was intrigued by the reviews and the promise of an 11 hour battery life...well... believe it. It is very fast and starts up quickly. Surfing the web is a snap. The screen is quite good. Now this is a Chromebook and not a windows or Mac pc. So those programs will not work on it. But there are plenty of alternatives in the play store. I must say I was so happy with the first one that I actually bought another. If you have no need for super high tech and can use the programs included for your needs I’d say this guy is a mighty good buy!

Perfect For My 8 Year old

This one is absolutely perfect For her! And it was very easy to set up with parental controls. It’s also very lightweight but sturdy and the price was GREAT. I feel like chrome books are the perfect starter laptop for young children (and even adults). It’s simple to use and seeing as we use Google Docs for everything, we really don’t miss Microsoft office even one bit. I highly recommend!

I really didn't understand how it worked. Now that I understand it I love it. I synced it with my phone and now I use it more than my laptop. It's faster than my Windows laptop. The size is perfect and the keyboard is great. Full disclosure, I use it for email, online ordering, Google search, and YouTube. It fits the bill for me.

It is fast and efficient when using these programs. If you are looking for something very inexpensive this is the ticket. Many times you get what you pay for, but with this chromebook the quality is good for the price. No extras though, such as touch screen, but the built in mousepad works great and the keyboard has a nice feel when typing.
