I love how fast this laptop is and the only complain I have is that it's quite heavy!

Have been using the Flex-15 laptop for around 45 days; nice laptop but some issues to consider before one should purchase this laptop.
This is a fairly fast laptop w/16MB RAM and using an SSD drive for booting. The screen is very nice when used at 100% brightness but not nearly as impressive when under 100%.)
Issues to consider:
1. Runs hot; pretty much unusable as a '2-in-1'/in tablet mode due to the amount of heat generated by the system. (Will run cooler if one replaces the 1TB 5400 rpm HD but not certain yet if this is possible.)
2. Battery life is substandard: would be better w/an SSD drive.
3. No ethernet network input.
3. Main storage is the 1TB 5400 rpm HD, which is a big bottleneck should one have files being accessed constantly on it.
4. Keyboard: almost returned the laptop over the odd key mappings. Don't understand why Lenovo would change the F key mapping. Nice feel though.
5. Size and weight. For a road warrior, probably a bit big and heavy. (I looked at the 14" Flex-5 model but didn't like the screen.)
6. Only 2 USB inputs. Would have been nice to have a couple more USB inputs.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Flex 5 1570. This is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor,16GB of RAM, discrete Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU and a 1TB standard HDD plus a 256GB solid state drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device, this too is normal. This model has a battery life of up to 8 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. To maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. This full-sized, 15.6" 2 in 1 laptop/tablet, weighs just 4.41 lbs. and measures 0.7" thin. This configuration is ultra portable, which restricts the number of ports available. If you need more USB ports for this device, you may want to consider using a USB hub with this device.
