||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted to love this computer because it had 1TB memory and internal optical drive, but the arrow keys popped off in less than a month and I was unable to get them back on, the battery life after a full charge was less than 5 hrs and the power cord is extremely shorter than what I’m accustomed too. Thankful that I was able to return the product.

One odd quirk though is that the touchpad controls are not able to be adjusted with the makers' software. Windows 10 allows basic adjustments, but not full control. You can buy a mouse and avoid it, but it's slightly annoying not to be able to adjust scroll on the edge of the touchpad, hot corners, multiple clicks, etc. Worked with tech support from both Lenovo and Windows to no resolve. Not the biggest issue, but just annoying. Still the pluses (price, speed, screen size, audio, etc) outweigh this.

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Great for my needs!

I needed a laptop for me to browse the web, read and send emails, and has a large enough screen for me to easily see some of the larger spreadsheets that I use. I had bought a similar laptop a few months ago, but with a Ryzen 3 processor, and with a separate graphics processor, but my son took it, as he was able to play his games on it. So I needed a cheap replacement. This one was on sale, and was similar, so I gladly bought it. So far, I'm very happy with it, but a few of my gripes are the mouse pad ( I'm used to separate buttons to right-click, and left-click, while this one is just one large pad. It functions fine, but I prefer the feel of separate buttons. The windows 10 setup was a PIA, but once set up, functions well. The greatest weakness for me is not having a lighted keyboard. But what does one expect from a sub-$400 machine?

Good laptop for the price

There is a feature that allows you to talk to the computer much like you would Alexa or Siri. It makes set up easy it annoying depending on if you're into that type of interface. The good thing is you can turn it off or on rather easy. And by easy I dont mean accidentally. The on off switch is a click away and in a place that you wont turn it on or off by accident. Its a light laptop and the clarity is great. I gave it 4 stars simply because the touchpad mouse seemed to lag a bit. I dont care for touch pad mice so I would advise getting an external mouse.

Great Budget Computer

It's not as fast as the "s" but it still works wonderfully, and there's a lotttt of storage. I play Fortnite on it every now and again, and it works good. It will glitch here and there, but it does sometimes on my kid's Nintendo Switch as well so it may be a Fortnite thing. I did notice however, the graphics need to be less than very good or it freezes too often. I love playing The Sims 4, and that works great on it. If you are looking for a computer that can be used to play some games, and to use for your regular daily tasks, etc., this is it. If you're looking for a hardcore gaming computer this will not work.

After that the computer runs great for everyday usage. I had an Alienware 13 from 2013 that kicked the bucket and this computer does web browsing and school work just as well. The plastics do feel cheaper and the keyboard isn’t backlit but it was $700 cheaper than my Alienware. Great buy. The i3 processor is likely the key to this being such a bargain.

Very Nice Laptop

It's much faster than the old laptop I replaced. The screen is bright and easy to read . The keyboard is a little smaller than what I was used to but I added a Logitech K330 keyboard with a mouse. I have this linked to a network so I can easily access my files on my server as well. It's very fast with high speed internet! Great value for the price!

I've never owned one before and I found it easy to use right out of the box (just not well versed on Windows 10). It has more RAM , a much larger hard drive and a faster processor than my desktop and much more portable. The price was just right. One of the main reasons I bought it was that it has a DVD player. I have been very happy and satisfied with this laptop. Oh, by the way, I am 62 and not very tech savvy.

There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

I do have another Lenovo laptop & I thought, this could not be as bad as the reviews. I bought it thinking I would put a SSD in place of the SATA hard drive. Now I am not sure if I want to. This is suprisingly fast for a 1tb SATA hard drive. Do not believe the reviews. I have had this laptop a week so far & it is much much better than the reviews. I use it daily also.
