    Overall, everything appears to be working so far. However, in my opinion the setup process isn't that great. Too much focus on having a Microsoft account.

      Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your IdeaPad 1i. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you, and we'd like to work with you to resolve this issue.

      To start with heat production internally, this IdeaPad 1i features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, designed to enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced. We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, this IdeaPad 1i features Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. For instances where you may use the device in your lap or a situation where the intake vents may be obstructed, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine. Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to ensure your system is running as efficiently as possible.

      With battery life, by default the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes here as well to easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.
