If you can get it on sale like I did, it’s a steal. 2 complaints would be the backplate for the cooler is a pain to take off, and that Lenovo vantage has pop ups which makes it borderline bloatware. Apart from that, this is a great system. Throw in a better graphics card and it’s perfect. Comes nicely packaged, many lighting options, and scarily quiet, as long as the one fan gpu isn’t screaming. Does have a small coil wine though. Again, great system. Small flaws, but still a great steal on sale.

If you are receiving pop up messages from Lenovo Vantage, they are mostlikely coming from the McAfee Virus Protection Software installed on this computer. This Legion Tower 5i ships with a 30-day trial of McAfee Virus Protection Software installed. It will activate automatically with the initial activation of Windows 11 and protect your computer for the 30-day trial period. You do not need to use McAfee VPS. You can uninstall McAfee and use the free Windows Defender VPS that comes with Windows 11 or you can uninstall McAfee and then install your choice of any compatible 3rd party VPS. The key is to uninstall McAfee if you will not be using it, as there can only be one active VPS on the computer at a time. I switched windows 10 to the hard drive. The hsrd drive seems a bit slower than it should be. Other than that had no issues partitioning the SSD and the hdd for windows. I took the front plate off mine and the temperatures are pretty amazing. For a deal though its not. Lenovos website has this pc for this price without a deal some times and has one with the 3060 for a extra 200 hundred plus tax and investing into coolers and power would of been a way better bang for the buck. From what ive looked into pn youtube and research this coming with 16gb of ram and having a pretty decent case makes this a pretty good prebuild although some have serious issues with this product.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gaming Laptop, model number 90RS0017US. First, be sure any software/games you installed are compatible with Windows 11. Also, there is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. Here is a link to instructions for uninstalling McAfee from a Windows computer: https://service.mcafee.com/?articleId=TS101331&page=shell&shell=article-view. If there is no incompatible software installed, restoring your system to original factory default settings may correct the issue you are having with system restarts.. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of your Windows 11 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Legion Ultimate Care for additional help at: 888-278-9707.

I am not pushing this PC to its max. . I've been using PC's for a long long time. I owned several other top brands this is my first Lenovo. The build on this machine is exactly what I wanted, and it could not be built for this price. 16g of ram is more than enough for me, as is the i7 chipset. My last PC I had for 10 years, and its still keeps up but I wanted Windows 11 and my hardware was not compatible, along with a few other issues... time to upgrade. This PC is slick, I adjusted the lights to my color prefs, looks awesome, is absolutely silent and powerful. There are plenty of USB connections, Display port and HDMI, I wanted both. One of the best things, and probably my first PC with... drum roll, NO bloatware!!!! Nothing to clean up. No trash on your new flash drive...great!!!! Setup was a snap, "typical" windows setup. Installed my software, printer, Bluetooth keyboard.. snap done. Connected to Wi-Fi when setting up windows, then switched over to a wired connection. Wi-Fi in my house, probably just as fast, I just prefer a wired connection. No glitches or anything unexpected . Will update this review if the need arises. Kudo's to Best Buy and Lenovo. 5 star experience thus far.

Great Computer, Not Just for Gamers

My previous HP sounded like a jet taking off sometimes, but this one you can barely hear it run. I'm not a gamer but wanted something with some power for Photoshop Elements and multitasking. It has the bonus of the cool lights too. This Nana is really enjoying her new computer! I've had it a little over a month now and have had no problems.

Even the packaging is done right and it is well protected inside the shipping box. The case is great and has a good air flow. It runs quietly and very quick. It's not very flashy and has options to customize lights. It has enough room for future updates. All parts look standard and can be easily replaced and upgraded.

Video keeps going out 2 to 5 hours on.

I do have it set to shut down safely with the power button (which it shutdown when doing so). They're an issue with the Video card/Motherboard on this PC. It's been a known issue, but the company making the PC doesn't seem to want to fix it. Keep reading it on the help forms. Don't buy this PC. I have over 20 plus years in IT. I figure I would give Lenovo a chance in the Gaming PC world. Their normal PC record is very bad. All the software on my PC is compatible with Win 11. Also, I used windows defender and remove the bloatware virus software installed. I did activate the MS office already installed on the PC. I really want to love this PC. Everything would be perfect if the video wouldn't go out. Been using since Feb of 2022.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gaming Desktop Computer, model number 90RS0017US. This model configuration ships with the Intel B560 Chip Set (Intel Rocket-Lake B560 WIN DPK SYSTEM BOARD, Lenovo Part Number - 5B20W27656) which has the Intel Core i7-11700 Processor socketed to the motherboard. This Legion Tower 5i configuration uses the discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GPU, with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM on the card. If you are getting less than expected video performance, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Legion Ultimate Care for additional help at: 888-278-9707.

Great machine Gaming or Not

Only complaint I have is there could have been a wireless gaming keyboard and mouse instead of a wired basic USB keyboard and mouse.

The gpu is plenty for moderate gaming. Nice to have 16gb of ram. Some of the other ones try to sneak by with only 8gb. Overall a great pc.

I have both and have been pleased with their reliability. I was looking for a tower for home/office applications but also need a decent graphics card between 4-6K . End up with entry level gaming tower, which fits the bill, was on sale at time of purchase which sealed the deal. I also prefer towers because they are easy to upgrade. Soon I plan to upgrade the SSD to either 512GB or 1TB. Keeping an eye out on sales.
