This unit has several good points. 1. IPS panel that doesn't have narrow viewing angles. 2. Touch screen. 3. Celeron processor is powerful enough for home use. 4. Google Chrome OS updates until June 2026. 5. Fanless w/no bottom vent to worry about blocking. It has a few issues. 1. The screen is a bit dim compared to a $700 laptop, but bright enough for indoor use. 2. The keyboard is usable, but not great. 3. I'm still getting used to the unit automatically powering up when open the lid. All in all, I recommend this for anyone who needs a Chromebook for general home use.

I was trying to look for reviews on this laptop on youtube and even try and read the reviews here. But, I didnt find one to help with this purchase. I bought this laptop from only seeing it on display. But with the time I have with it. I can honestly say, it was a good buy. My main concern was the screen. Most chromebook laptops under 300 do not have the best screens. Most have TN screens, which makes the viewing angles hard to look at from the sides. While it looks great from the front, the colors wash out on the sides. Thankfully this laptop has a vibrant screen. Full HD resolution, and viewing angles are good too! While there is some light leakage on the top and bottom of the screen, the viewing process is still in good quality. The screen has a matte finish, making it somewhat anti-glare. Under direct sunlight, viewing the screen might get difficult. It is also touchscreen. So that's a plus! The laptop is well built too! The matte finish makes it a bit of a finger magnet, but easy to wipe off. It is very sturdy and durable. The keyboard chasey does not flex when pressed on, and the typing experience is good as well. I recommend this for someone under a price budget, who wants an every day laptop for emails and watching videos. I got this as a second laptop to just scroll through my emails, and watch some movies. It's good for what it does. I did also try to see if it could run some apps from the google store, and it does. Most games are playable too! I do wish it had an HDMI port. But you can always buy an adapter.

This is a very good computer for basic functions such as email, internet surfing and Zoom or Skype. However, more advanced applications like Word or Excel do not work as well as on a PC. It is a better platform for Google Docs. If you aren’t familiar with Docs, recommend you learn about them first if you are going to need them.

I picked up this computer the S340, not to be confused with the C340 which I also own. I love Lenovos. I got this computer on sale for $219 and it is decent for my use. I am a truck driver and I needed something inexpensive and light to travel with. I mostly use it to read news on the web, watch Youtube and Netflix, basically to consume media. After using it for a week, I can tell you It has great sounding speakers, a good keyboard that feels good to the touch with plenty of key travel and not too clicky or noisy. It has decent battery life, nice mat black finish, It doesn't get hot and it doesn't feel too big or two heavy, easy to handle. I need to clarify that this computer does not have the shinny glossy high contrast screen, so using the term ISP on the description and features, is misleading. but it does have a decent mat finish display with good viewing angles. Also, it is being described as full HD with a native 1080P resolution, and that is also misleading, this computer screen is too fuzzy and pixelated to be a true 1080P resolution. With regard Netflix, if you use the app, the video quality doesn't look as good or sharp, but if use the browser to log into netflix and watch the movies from the browser, you will notice the difference in the video quality. All in all, for $219 this is a decent basic machine for everyday use.

A big learning curve for senior citizens going from MacBook Pro to Chromebook. Computer itself is fast and keeps a charge well. Screen is clear. Keyboard is a keyboard. Lightweight, easier to carry than old computer. Satisfied with it. Will like it better when I finally figure out how to move stuff from old to new and download apps to get back up to speed again.

enjoying using this chromebook for 7yo son. The back screen is kind of wobbly when trying to use mainly the touch screen. If it was able to flip all the way around like a tablet it would be OK but the screen only goes flat so it's been a little harder to use. Overall happy with the product but would have bought something that is a 2-in-1 if I could do-over.

Due to COVID-19 and the need for social distancing my 12 year old needed something to complete her online assignments. It gets the job done and she is very happy with it

I wanted to get a computer that the kids could use for their schoolwork as well as something for Zoom meeting and internet use.

The computer works incredibly quickly and is responsive to all work-tasks. Better than HP/Asus

This thing starts up very quick and you can't hear it while its running which I really appreciate. The touchscreen and keys work beautifully. It performs very well when you browse the web, but it won't let you access certain websites because of cookie issues. I can't delete downloaded stuff without basically being a computer hacker. If you get one keep in mind it doesn't flip all the way into a tablet, it goes completely flat. It came with a free 3 months of I tunes, (that i can't even use because it's not apple...) a security program that protects you from viruses (It blocks every site you try and go on), and it didn't even come with a stylus. It's not bad for its price and performance, but it lacks in actual security features, full tablet conversion, and you can't access chrome canvas for some reason... I got it as a web surfer / schooling / drawing tool. Can it do it? Yes, but with limitations... I feel like you have to go to Chromebook school to figure out how to use the darn thing. All in all, Its good, but not great.

Low cost price with low end specs, but higher resolution display makes it a pleasant overall user experience.

The computes is fine and I’m lucky that it works but the delivery guy that dropped off my package threw it over the fence and it clearly said on the package that it was a fragile electronics. I want Best Buy and OnTrac the shipping company to see this and tell their workers .

Needed for kid's school work. Works great and lightweight. So far so good.

For the money, this will do 90% of what you need a PC to do. Battery life is great, build quality is solid. Bought an USB C to HDMI and run an extra monitor. Not my main device but, I use it the most due to its portability and battery life.

My granddaughter is very pleased with this. It does more than she expected. Long battery life and plenty of memory.

Works great for virtual learning. My son doesn't like computers but this one he likes because it is touchscreen. Appears to hold the charge longer than other chromebooks and has a good size screen. A bit heavier then other one's I seen.

This will serve to get my kid through school assignments while we are in lockdown this fall. One warning: it is not very durable. My son dropped it and cracked a corner. The Chromebook does still work, albeit with a chunk of plastic missing from the screen corner. Parents be careful with using this with 2nd graders!

I got this to replace my laptop and I wanted something light in weight . That I could take with me when traveling. To watch movies on and maybe some light gaming and this fit the bill only wish the keys were backlight so you could see them when in dimly light areas.
